I'm also pretty sure you only have to dodge the creatures jumping at you during the second phase of the Narwal and don't even have to restart and just wait for the next cycle of him using that move.

honestly enkanomiya and chasm sub regions were TERRRRIBBBLLEEE to explore but this new one was rlly fun and I did it in like 2 days (every single thing in the region, not just 100%):D

It's not bugged, is just that the only attacks that he has to dodge is the creatures that the boss summons.
