I like the way he addresses the issue. You begin by saying something to catch peoples attention, then slowly integrate it into society. Yup. I love wife beaters too! Husbands roll their sleeves only when their is a task at hand!

Why do you think worldly people are not having robbers, or thiefs, or murderers, or wife-beaters pride parades? It is because it is crystal clear that such behavior is evil that clearly harms other people.
The whole problem with homosexuality is that such behavior is not clearly evil because it does not harm other people and this is why it is being allowed to practice.
So we have to be consistent and admit that even though it is a sin, it is not in the same category as clearly evil sins that are literally damaging and harming others.
That’s a good point. It’s more complicated than the overt sins like you mentioned. I like the style that Pastor Voddie is using because it is an attention grabber and shows the pattern of behavior going on, but like you said, we need to look into the ways that homosexuality are actually negatively effecting people to show a more direct correlation.

@@DrewChainsTVthe context is that many supposed “pastors” will begin to preach on homosexuality of sexual identity by spending 30% of the sermon establishing the fact that they love that sinner, then just barely preach that it is a sin, and then finish by spending the last 30% of their sermon reiterating that (despite the unrepentant sin) they still LOVE that sinner. They do this, so afraid of the world’s culture, that they tacitly endorse the very sin.

He’s a prosperity gospel preacher brother . Stay away from him . there’s a reason why all the wealthy follow him . He doesn’t preach REPENTANCE. That’s why he’s one of the richest Pastors there is . Of course it’s very appealing to hear GODs blessings . But we ignore his discipline.

Many people all they know about GOD, is based on what they hear in church once a week. But from monday - Saturday they don’t even think about GOD or pray or read the Bible . That’s not a real relationship . We basically are following the pastor or priest NOT GOD.
How would we know if we are being deceived by a pastor or priest if we don’t know the Bible ourselves? They can be false prophets and we will never be able to tell them apart. If we don’t read the Bible, we really don’t have a relationship with GOD.

They pay for his mansion and luxurious lifestyle.

@@nikokapanen82 : EXCEPT THAT…the Bible singles it out as being uniquely “detestable “ and an especially sickening “abomination.” The issue seems to just be YHWH’s preference. By contrast, the Bible uses “kid gloves” when referring to “concubines”, whom are a variation of prostitutes. Both are carnal and generally consensual but YHWH clearly takes much greater offense with “a man lying with a man, as like a woman.”

Yes, it is detestable but this sin is directed at themselves, they damage themselves, they do not damage or harm others like robbers, murderers, thiefs, wife-beaters and so on.
The reason this sin is special is that they have been a subject of literal killing for millennia and even when the laws changed not to kill them anymore in the West, they still were a subject of extreme contempt despise, and violence and now more and more evidence shows that these people are not willfully choosing to be this way, this corruption is rather something innate, worldly people began to see them as one of the biggest victims in history and this is why more and more hatred is poured out upon people who keep staying strong and say it is a serious sin.

Nobody says here that it is not a sin, what I do say is that this sin is not relatable to wife-beating that is clearly and seriously damaging to another person that even the world people clearly recognize. This sin is more related to masturbation or porn watching that does not harm anybody but your own soul.
Voddie could have started by saying this: "I know that there are some of you here who are doing it, especially guys, you are masturbating, do not get me wrong I do not hate you, I love you but you have to understand that it is a sin and you need to get serious with it."
This would be a much closer analogy than wife-beating.

The difference is that wife beaters are a part of an abusive relationship, where one party is physically assaulting another party. A romantic relationship between two consenting adult of the same gender does not equate to physically beating another human being. Big difference. Jesus was about Love. Beating another human being is not an act of love. Engaging in a consentual relationship with another adult and caring for one another is an act of love. Big difference.
True but that does not make it right to be homosexual.
The more I listen to this REAL pastor the more I feel like I should start looking for a different church. The soft, seeker sensitive, kumbaya church is going to be the first to fall away. Look at the UMC and so many others... strong men leading the church are what was prescribed by the bible FOR A GOOD REASON.

I love pastor voddie baucham he preaches the Lord's word truthfully he preach everything up for the Lord is his character the to fears of the Lord the first one is. #1 to have a deep reference for the Lord of his beauty is love his grace is forgiveness and his Mercy. #2 the fear of the Lord a separation from him that place called hell because that person doesn't believe in the one and only true God and they're still in their sins without any true confessions of there transgressions and put their faith in Jesus Christ and faith alone and not by our good works but also the Lord is holy and just. When you see a true church that preaches of Lords were truthfully that doesn't water down the gospel you have feel less people in those churches but when you hear churches are the prosperity churches you get thousands and thousands of people and these churches are not preaching the true gospel of Jesus Christ. Now I can say as a Christian I'm thankful through my suffering with late-stage lung disease because that's one reason I came to the Lord and have relationship with him with a one and only true God through My Savior Jesus. It's very true of anyone can you agree with me hear of any brothers and sisters in the body of Christ that suffering brings us closer to the Lord. It doesn't mean that the Lord doesn't love us it just means through our suffering these going to build our character to be like Christ Jesus. Even though I'm still going through a lot with my suffering with late-stage Lyme disease dealing with Miley low white blood cells.I shared part of my testimony before about this I had to get three bone marrow biopsies done in the past two years finding out that I have few less cells in my bone marrow currently at 20% to 25% and it should be at 70% for my age. I don't have any infection in my bone marrow but I believe that Lyme disease disrupted it. Even though there's not enough research and funding for late-stage Lyme disease and better treatment because when someone is misdiagnosed like me the Lyme disease bacteria can be hard to treat when it's indifferent crevice of the body. I do have other symptoms related to Lyme disease but I can be hard at times everyday that's what I'm going through but I know that one purse I remember that Laura's going to work everything out for good even if it looks bad....✍️✝️🇺🇸❤️🙏🕊️

@@nikokapanen82 but a homosexual act, such as gay sex, IS harming another person. both bodies are being defiled by sexual sin, and hardening their hearts to the will of the Father. The Lord (who has the only good will) does not want this to happen to either man, however they do it anyway. this grieves God unbelievably so. It is saying to God that their sexual and immoral desires are more important than the one who sacrificed his Son to save all those who also are crucified with Christ.

I listened to a short recently and a woman explained the difference between being nice and being kind. I always wanted to be seen as nice. Sometimes, nice isn't what people need. Jesus was nice when he could be, but He was always kind. Kindness is caring, helpful, truthful, and most of all loving and compassionate. But sometimes truth hurts. It stings. Like peroxide in a wound, it's for our good. God has been dealing with me about this very issue.

How is it "apologizing for preaching Christ" for someone to be clear and say that we, as Christians, hate the sin but love the sinner? That's true... and it's Biblical, and it's what Jesus did all the time.
As long as you are still being truthful that homosexual acts are sinful, I don't see how it's a problem to say that you still love the people who practice that sin and you want what is best for them, to repent and be saved.
@@CassTeaElle I agree with you. We stand on the Word as it is. Yet, that does not mean we refrain from loving people, even though we hate sin like the Bible says.

I don't understand what you find hard to understand about what I said. The point is obvious. We are called to love everyone, even our enemies. There's never anything wrong with a Christian saying that they love sinners.
