The sad thing is, Jaiden said she doesn't want people sexualizing her, yet I somehow randomly always stumble upon NSFW ai chatbots of her, even one that glorified r@p3.
Basic shirts are great as an art accessory! 1) jewelry won't get lost in a busy background. 2) tattoos won't blend into patterns/textures 3) it will give the eyes an area to relax. 4) layers I can go on to defend basic shirts for an actual wardrobe and in Art.
Also the avatar matches the vibe of her channel, the outfit is basic because it's very relaxed and she want her content to be more, slice of life/relaxed. While she has a past with mental health, it makes her more relatable and the vast majority of her content is either stories, gaming, or things she did like collect a literal room full of plushies
additional context on Jaiden: some time ago she had to make a statement she doesn’t want anyone drawing 18+ art of her/her avatar and weird ppl got mad and created even more to spite her. It’s beyond just her being aroace, it’s her boundaries no matter her identity and her history of being made into 18+ art in the past, she was being harassed. i understand being aroace adds another layer of bad but it’s not the sole reason and it’d still be just as awful if she wasn’t ace. no one deserves such treatment.
@@Tubatu4419 her drawing wasn't 18+. however she made sexual comments towards jaiden in the video. 18+ fanarts is a separate issue, im just adding context as to why ppl are upset.
This is very important, because the people who are saying that Jaiden said she doesn't want those kind of comments to be made about her and then implying that it's solely because she's aroace are surely coming from a good place, but it's not good to act like all aroace people think and feel the same about this topic. Of course the fact that Jaiden is aroace probably adds to the reasons why she's unconfortable with this, but it's not like all aroace people would also be.
I genuinely respect Mohammed so much for going, “oh I didn’t know this thing existed, cool now I’m better informed!” I feel like the Internet has really poisoned my expectations on people learning new things.
I'm so used to us ace aro people getting shamed for being open about it and actively told what we are doesn't exist that I tensed up when it was brought up but I was relieved to see I was worrying over nothing this time 😅
@@arsena5209 Terrible mindset. Don't let others control what is or isn't yours. As a mixed person, never feeling I fit in on other side, it only made me less happy. Owning everything you are in it's entirety is crucial to being happy. Even if people denounce a part of you, understand they could just be ignorant. But regardless, you are who you are, you know that, and that's what matters. That realization made me infinitely more comfortable with both sides of my family. It goes a long way. Cheers
If she was “just talking about the avatar” and only doing a yassification based on it then why did she pull up an actual picture of her for reference. It makes it hard to tell when she’s criticizing her or the avatar
Well I mean she's being honest at least. Just way too honest- but hey, pretty sure it's much more scarier if they're the silent/mixed manipulatice type of person
she's just like those 13yo girls in popular fandoms which took a bald character (like Sans) and put hair over them because they think bald people are ugly
To be fair, sans' canon design is *a skeleton*. Skeletons don't have hair, yes, but it doesn't mean his human version necessary has to be bald? If an artist draws their human version with hair what's the problem? It doesn't in fact contradict anything. I'm just confused, not trying to be mean
@vivierinda4399nah it just looks better sorry if i sound toxic but it does depwnds on how u draw tgem lkke j saw how an artist drew baldie and O LALA😭

Even if Jaiden wasn’t aro/ace, Kooleen calling her a "goth mommy" is really gross. Jaiden has made it clear that she doesn't feel comfortable when people draw nsfw art of her or her avatar or when they make inappropriate comments towards her, Kooleen is basically disrespecting Jaiden's boundaries because she wants to make her "hot" I've always found Kooleen's obsession of unrealistic beauty in her drawings to be really weird. It's shown when she refuses to "yassify" James avatar because she "can't yassify a naked baled guy" so instead uses a REAL LIFE picture of James (btw the final drawing of him was really bad). Her art just feels so soulless and uncreative because of that, and I really hate putting people's art down, but I genuinely think that Kooleen needs a ego check
@@TrueNeneYashirowhile not nsfw explicitly, it was slightly suggestive, but the jaiden thing was mostly about kooleen calling her a ‘goth mommy’ which jaiden has very openly said multiple times she doesn’t want any sexual comments of that nature at all
@@TrueNeneYashiroi think it has to do with the weird Goth Mommy comments, that many people felt uncomfy, plus many peeps trying to remind Koleen of Jaiden’s boundary. Plus, with the hindsight that Jaiden had severe body dysmorphia and had suffered ED (which are videos that Jaiden publicly discussed years ago), they really dont like the yassification process (cuz making Jaiden looking like the ideal beauty). It would’ve been better if she sticked with their avatar instead of the irl looks of the cc, so that she wouldnt be in the mess, and would have a good excuse of using their avatars instead of their irl looks.
@@TrueNeneYashiro while she didn't draw nsfw art of Jaiden, she made a lot of inappropriate comments towards her, such as calling her a "goth mommy" but also said something on the lines of "I'll give her all the lip fillers she needs" keep in mind she's saying this while using a real life photo of Jaiden as a reference
"I could not yassify a naked bald guy." Why? Because you lack imagination? If she did just yassify his regular avatar, that would have actually been kinda funny.
Remember, the only real people you should be openly sexualizing are significant others who consent to it. Having a crush on someone is fine, but don’t go around talking about them sexually unless they’re okay with it.
Right?! People don't need to openly say they don't want to be sexualized to not get sexualized. Koolen didn't make an "inoccent error" by not researching about Jaiden's story on self image, she sexualized a person and that's her mistake, period.
Yeah, exactly. What Kooleen did was catcalling. It doesn’t even matter if Kooleen knew what Jaiden went through because Kooleen shouldn’t have been sexualizing Jaiden in the first place. Jaiden is a complete stranger and Kooleen never asked if it was okay to talk like that about her.
@@vivil2533 Time and place where we give our consent is honestly so important IMO. Like when I go on Grindr for example, it's common to be sexualized. It's one of the points of the app though and I don't actively discourage it, so I'm much more forgiving if people are like that (to a point of course). But if I'm just going about my day and somebody starts really going in on the compliments, I'm likely to feel uncomfortable. Especially because I'm not straight, and I've run into really awkward situations before publicly whether it be some random stranger flirting with me or suggesting I get a girlfriend. Both can be frustrating to deal with when I'm likely just minding my own business or started with small talk if we were already talking. Even if they align with my preference, sometimes I'm just not looking for something at that moment. People get so concerned about finding someone in life that they don't realize the easiest way to do it is to go to places where people are actually looking for that kind of attention. Not in your workplace or other public spaces.
People who animate tend to use simple designs for an animation because of not wanting to draw straight details on each frame, that most of the time it’s 12-20 frames per second.
Regardless of if simple designs are necessary or not, they are still simple. It’s not offensive to point that out, it simply is what it is. Idk why that out of all things is being used as ammo against Koolean. You can tell there wasn’t any malice whenever she brought it up
The thing is, if Kooleen was yassifying the avatar, why did she add the irl Jayden's tattoos specifically? Could've been like "oh and she has tattoos irl, could take some inspiration and add tattoos" but she specifically drew the tattoos Jayden has irl
@@SussyDussyCat it's an argument that could be used to defend her. If she wasn't yassifying the avatar, then she did an absolutely awful thing, "redesigming" real people
I saw people commenting about the Patrick photo and I thought it was about the first meme picture BUT THEN I SAW THE SECOND ONE AND MY WORLD WAS SHAKEN. UTTERLY DESTROYED. I WILL NEVER RECOVER FINANCIALLY FROM THE KNOWLEDGE IT EXISTS
As a NSFW creator, the Patricussy doesn't scare me (I still don't want to see that ever again.) Kooleen is very weak that she can't yassify a "naked bald guy". Pah! Her comments were inappropriate, especially if people expressed discomfort about this in the past. And if you don't know a person's boundaries, then just don't talk like that, it is literally that simple.
Another case of insensitive Filipino artists again.. haaah I'm tired of my countrymen being sometimes like this, it's basically part of our culture to gossip about people and not care about how they feel, so it probably extended to Koleen's view of people as a whole, especially with what she did with Jaiden. Tsk. 😕
Boundaries? On the internet? Thats not how it works. You of all people should know that. And the hypocrisy of such a statement to boot. The moral police are p*** addicted weirdos who must view everything through a lense of debauchery. Your high horse sank into the earth long ago.
I understand what you mean but based on your comment about the personal boundaries how much does she needs to research about someone to have the right to do a FanArt OR use them as a reference? Search on Googles Jaden boundaries or search Jaden Traumas or maybe just watch every single video Jaden posted to have the right to draw her? I'm not making fun of you nor been disrespectful , I'm really curious, how much do you consider an artist HAVE to know about someone to have to freedom to draw them or use them as a reference She simply may not know Jaden's Traumans, know days we follow a lot of people in social media, is kind of unrealistic to expect everyone to know every trauma about everyone, just because you know the trauma of someone that doesn't mean every one knows, Traumas, pets, past relationships, crimimal history there's a lot about every individual you would have to take into consideration I understand wanting to protect Jaden and I too think the comments were of bad taste BUT shouldn't we give people the right to express the self how they want or the right for and artist to present their work how they want? Saying that she simply shouldn't draw if she doesn't fullfil you personal check list of what to do or not do is kind of arrogant The best we can do is simply not support the content we don't like but taking away the right to do a draw something you wanted is going to far Thia is not an attack, I trying to present mu Ideas respectfully if you disagree I hope we mage to keep the conversation respectful
The people in this comment section that are defending Kooleen make me genuinely uncomfortable. Like, if you're not uncomfortable in your body, or see bad things about yourself or someone commenting on yourself or your looks, then good for you. But Jaiden does feel uncomfortable. Especially when being sexualized. I personally also feel uncomfortable in my body, and I'd be incredibly uncomfortable if someone took a picture of me and "fixed" or sexualized how i looked with their words or a drawing.
@@sabsain2399 I’m LesbianAce myself (I’m lesbian but I still don’t feel any sexual attraction to anyone, only romantic/platonic feelings) and from my personal experience I’ve seen a lot of “supporting” people immediately look down on people if they aren’t the “classic” Gay/Lesbian/Trans and sometimes even if they are actually supportive they don’t look it up if they don’t really know what it is which could spread misinformation. @@Hahshdhbcbcyoutube Sexual attraction is when someone feels sexual interest in someone else. Romantic attraction is more things like cuddling and holding hands rather than actually wanting sexual intimacy with someone. Keep in mind that everyone has different preferences and boundaries so different people who are asexual may have different levels and preferences when it comes to those feelings. For example, I personally don’t really feel any se Hal desire to anyone at all but someone else may be a bit mire open (meaning that they may not directly seek it out but it still is something they’d be interested in)
As an ace person myself that's very insecure about my body, if anyone just paused on a frame of me and made weird remarks about my body and then drew "me" that's just more conventionally attracted... I would feel sick in the stomach. Not to mention it's kinda contradictory. Not only they crossed a boundary of mine, made the situation weird for views and likes. But also "complimented" me just to "fix" me. So they would make me uncomfortable for no f reason before drawing my prettier doppelganger. W t f.
Yeah, it’s weird to do that to anyone, but especially someone who has been fairly open about suffering from body dysmorphia and has also publicly said “hey, I’m not really into sex” (yes being aroace is WAY more complicated, I’m just simplifying). Also, being a fellow ace person, I would be too. Actually, I’d probably just break down crying tbh.
and people always defend her like koolen can’t successfully draw anyone who isn’t conventionally attractive / anime boy / anime girl v shaped chin tiny nose and “jUicY lips” she has a LOT of more learning to do 😭
It's so awful. As an ace as well and one who have had multiple eating disorders, her bashing Jaiden the entire time while going past so many boundaries was just jaw-dropping. She couldn't even try drawing Odd1sOut, but she had to "yassify" a person who has literally stated she doesn't like that sort of thing.
Dude, i cant describe hie grateful i am for the subtitles. I'm not s native English speaker and you puting them really helps me to learn snd understand. Love your content too ❤
People cannot say that people are getting defensive because it was only Jayden's avatar when Kooleen pulled things from Jayden's actual picture, like her tattoos. She's blending the two. It's not JUST the avatar.
When I first saw this video I was thinking "people are being a bit sensitive and overprotective of some parasocial connection with Jay, its just a redesign of the avatar" Then she took stuff from her actual appearance.... and okay, I kinda get it now. If you wanted to do that there was a way to do it without being disrespectful.
Ok but like, it was still the avatar. I'm gonna be honest, if I was to be redrawing an avatar of someone, I would use their irl self too to be able to add more while also keeping it to being them. I think that's where everyone were too sensitive. I think she overstepped the line when she called her goth mommy but that's it.
@Lexo_The_Moravian I do think Jay is in general way too sensitive for her own size online. And probably draws in fellow sensitive types or toxic positive people. But making someone's avatar have real features from them kinda misses the point in my books. I think it's kinda lazy. You should be able to work in details from their content maybe to be like "Oh okay so I'm going to add this because I think it fits this" is more interesting than "here's the real people dressed as their avatar"
I guess we're supposed to ask permission before even calling anyone hot nowadays? I mean, ffs, the whole 'mommy' thing is a meme. Everyone should chill.

A porn term koolean used to refer to an asexual creator who has a history of being sexualized on r34.
"ohhh that makes sense, that makes sense" as response to learning what aroace means was heartwarming, i remember being at pride with my aromantic flag, someone asked what flag that was and i explained it, the look of pity on them will never really leave me. I don't judge the mommy/daddy thing. It's also pretty common in fetish/BDSM communities, but I absolutely agree that comments like that are not really cool unless you know a person is cool with them already. i think what got me especially was how she yassified james - instead of yassifying his insert character into some, like, hot mr clean dude she felt the need to yassify his irl appearance. i suppose u could argue that his insert character would make it more challenging (given her artstyle) but i dont think it wouldve been *that* much harder to just draw one of her kpop idols bald or smn - directly yassifying people's real appearances just feels so incredibly-disrespectful to me. i doubt it was done w any ill-intent and (in all honesty) i dont think he'd personally care too much, but i could imagine feeling kind of hurt and uncomfortable having that done to my image; w how she presented it, it didnt feel like her drawing him in her art style but (instead) her improving his appearance. idk though, i could be vastly-overthinking it
this.^^^ yassifying real people (OR their sonas- esp if that sona is basically just them) is so wrong. if you REALLY want to do it, check if they’re fine with that kinda stuff first- and if you can’t find anything, try to reach out to them and ask them. if they aren’t fine with it, or you don’t get an answer, just.. don’t do it. that’s a real person, not a fictional character. some use their characters to represent themselves- like vtubers- and see that character as an extension of them, whether it looks like them or not (one example I can think of being cyyu) so making inappropriate content of e characters I equivalent to making inappropriate content of the person themself. and it’s weird as shit.

Also does Kooleen even realize that all of them are animators? The avatar they use most likely have a plain shirts and simple shapes because it's more complicated to animate patterned and complex designs. Especially if they started out as a beginner with little to no knowledge on animating!
Not to be an ass, but I absolutely hate the emphasis on Jaiden being aroace as an argument against her being sexualized and not being called mommy and stuff like that. As if it is okay to do to anyone regardless of sexuality? It wouldn't be okay even if she wasn't aroace. Can we just not sexualize people without their consent in the first place? Can we just be normal about people online?
@@SaintOrion-333 that's not making it better. It's not worse to sexualize someone when they don't want that when they're aroace versus when they are. It's not more okay to sexualize/sexually harass someone when they're not aroace.
@@SaintOrion-333 but by saying it makes it worse does indirectly insinuate that it's more socially acceptable to sexualize someone with sexual attraction to others. Saying she's asexual makes it worse is similar to saying a straight man sexualizing a lesbian is worse than a straight woman, WHEN BOTH ARE EQUALLY BAD. It's worse because Jaiden has been vocal about her being uncomfortable with being sexualized, when some content creators have been vocal about being okay with that content (think UA-camrs reading their own fanfics), but her sexuality doesn't change her rank in the severity of being a victim of sexualization and harassment. By saying one type of harassment is worse minimizes other forms indirectly and does more harm
Off topic, but that is what I like about surreal humor. Traditional jokes so often follow the format of 'bad thing happens to guy I don't like'/'guy I don't like is stupid', while surreal humor is based on mutual understanding and agreement ('we both agree this is funny, so it is, even if it makes no sense').
"I could not yassify a naked bald guy." after seeing Elisabeth from gintama get "yassified" on the show I am sure everything can be yassified. And it would be so much better and funnier too
The "she's just yassifying the AVATAR, not the artist" argument really falls apart when you watch her literally using real life reference photos of the creators so she can make the avatars look more like them 🙄 She literally ends up yassifying the creators instead of the avatars, because she's so unimaginative she can't work from just the cartoon-design.
I'm sorry, but your argument makes no sense whatsoever 😂😂 Ikr, she is SOOO unimaginative, why can't she make a yassified version of a cartoon character??? It's not like the character she is using as reference has absolutely no distinct features other than the hair. Jaidens avatar literally has a circle head, dot eyes, a line for a mouth, and a bland t-shirt. What did you expect kooleen to do???
Nigga... she was joking. Are you guys just ignoring her obvious over-the-top tone on purpose? Are you looking for reasons to dislike her? Are you trying to justify your hatred? Bet ya wouldn't care if she was black or hispanic saying this. God forbid someone not black or hispanic is edgy... good lord bro, can't make this stuff up.
You can tell common sense does not exist in her head, and or she does this on purpose for the sake of starting drama. Though I am betting on the former rather than the latter.

@@casematecardinalI mean, the Patrickussy in this video was more relevant to the Hays code comparison than Kooleen, as it’s going against potential, actual UA-cam censorship. Love your reaction to learning the definition of Aro-Ace. No questioning whether it's real or possible or calling it strange, just reading and accepting. You're awesome, thanks.
The point of the video is to make the avatars into conventionally attractive characters in her style. Like models or something. Of course she's gonna swap out the basic shirt. This isn't even the part of the video with a problem 🙄. The problem with the video was her pulling up that screenshot and making those stupid comments. That's what's tainting the rest of the video in your eyes. That and the mass outrage. Crowd mentality at its finest.
I'm also AroAce, how you so casually just explained and accepted it was really heartwarming. Thank you for just being like "Eh, alright". I haven't watched Jaiden in a while, but even I knew about her past eating disorders and had caught up with her "being not straight" video. It bugs me how Kooleen tried to blend Jaiden's persona/avatar with an actual image of Jaiden herself (which she has taken years to be comfortable sharing her image on screen it was an entire journey she shared later with her fans), by pausing on Jaiden's stream and saying weirdly s3xu4l things about her then later implying she's only referencing the avatar. Calling attention to Jaiden just existing was weird imo. If she didn't know about Jaiden's past, it's an odd thing to say about anyone that she doesn't seem to repeat for Domics or Odd1sOut. If she knew about Jaiden's past, why would she say it... at all? Jaiden has made it clear she doesn't like attention called to her own image, which is why she uses a cartoon persona, so to pause on her image and repeatedly comment on "bringing out Jaiden's epic goth mommy" that isn't repeated for the others is very bizarre behavior. Fictional characters are fictional and are there for the imagination, so that's more of a grey area, but when you openly mock both the art style of a *cartoon representation* not being accurate to their real-world person and joke about someone continuously not being "s3xy" enough or needing to "bring out" the "goth mommy" they should be showing off? Are you s3xu4lizing Jaiden or just her avatar? Both? Cause it seems like both. Jaiden is not her avatar, but Kooleen's comments imply the s3xy representation is of both art and artist. If it was meant to be just the avatar, she should've left the tattoo off. On top of this; commenting the most on someone's appearance who has struggled very publicly with that topic, making comments about "fixing" how to represent herself and make her avatar cuter, but zooming through and just drawing James (Odd1sOut) as a cute boy and disregarding his avatar completely? ?Excuse me hwat?? (I know these are meant to be a one-off art pieces, but the condescending tone of "wow, this original art is awful, doesn't MINE look better??" over Jaiden's side-by-side is inescapable and so inappropriate? No, Kooleen? No, neither looks better, you're comparing a cute lil doodle cartoon meant for flexible emotive representation to a detailed one-off personal portrait that's meant to be eye-candy.) If maybe she only brought up the avatars as references and didn't bother with looking up what they look like I could ignore it, but I can't imagine what was going through Kooleen's mind when she brought up both using the actual youtubers as "reference" to "fix" the models representing them by yass-ifying them while insulting their art styles for not meeting her anime-Korean-webtoon-esque standards? (The style isn't the issue here, but implying you're fixing the style to make it better than the "basic bland millennial" cartoon is weird an obscure. Cartoony styles aren't something that needs to be fixed or really even commented on. Low detail things are fun, high detail things are fun. Both have their pros and cons and are valid regardless. But stop implying you "made it better" for drawing something in a pretty style.)
100% -- see im a huge advocate for being allowed to draw and write whatever you want but I do draw a line at RPF and using real people as avatars for your sexualization. I fully understand the use and benefits of sexualizing images and book characters as a coping mechanism or just for shits and giggles -- but when real people are involved you start treading a dangerous line... because imagine you found fanfiction or fanart drawn of not someone who LOOKS like you but someone who is MEANT TO BE YOU. then make that person do something you are inherently uncomfortable with... like if i saw fanart of me being religious and married to a man and pregnant i'd be very uncomfortable. What Kooleen did was absolutely not okay. I decided to unfollow her youtube channel because that's the only thing I can do atm. p.s. the grey area is when you use say real ppl models as references for your character -- take for example Sherlock Holmes BBC Benedict cumberbatch -- and you draw sexualized images of him and john but they bear resemblances to the actors... if you are adament that these are the CHARACTERS and you give some sort of sign that they are these characters or at least make the effort to move away from the actors -- I dont see an issue with it... it might make the actors uncomfy but ultimately you aren't sexualizing the actor themselves you are sexualizing an image and a persona that they put out there... that's why if Kooleen stuck to JUST THE AVATARS then I don't think there would be an issue. Using Real person reference has to be done with SO much tact and care as to not insult, degrade, or discriminate against your model. yeah im just ugh it's so awful... i knew Kooleen was edgy and i liked it a little... but ultimately she got to a point where her videos became just derogatory for no good reason... and her art really isn't at the level where she should be having all that cocky confidence. It is good don't get me wrong, but ... she still can't draw hands.
can't we just forget koleen even existed in the first place already, it's not like anything she draws is any memorable either so why does anyone even care
Its so weird for her to take someones personal representation of themself, insult it, then find a pic of the actual person and sexualize them. To anyone but also for someone who has been very public about being aroace and not wanting to be sexualized and her past body dysmorphia. There is a line and kooleen crossed it several times over, starting with choosing a real person to "yassify" (also just call it a glowup? The art she does is not faithful to the drag origins and is not really yassifying so she should call it something else idk)
11:45 I’m not much of an artist myself. But if had someone take my art, and “yassify” it, I’d be pretty offended. Jaidens avatar is plain so it’s easy to animate in short periods of time, and is also meant to somewhat represent her. Not be an exact copy. Could you imagine animating kooleens version? I really don’t think anyone would want to animate that. Just a bunch of unnecessary comments on kooleens part..
I was thinking that too! She was basically coming for the CC’s art styles and it’s not cute. Just cuz it’s simple doesn’t mean it’s bad or less appealing than something that’s “yasified.” And again, she’s not getting the practical end of it.
kooleen drawings look so bland it's not even funny, they are every generic "hot character drawing" you see online. Jaiden and Odd1 drawings are immediately recognizable for their style. Is this the evolution of braindead "artists" on Twitter "fixing" people's art? I found this video in my recommended and I'm honestly kinda mad. I'm pretty sure AI-generated art would wipe this trash

Im Christian and bicurious (I think Im bisexual idk), and one of my local pastors said smth like 'i think these people that say they dont feel attraction for anyone are actually just lying, because no human can actually live by themselves' and I thought that was really ass of him tbh
@@Furina_-_De_-_Cuntainei don’t understand why some people can’t comprehend how sexuality works. my mum used to ask me about it and it’s funny because it’s genuinely the same way that a girl would like a guy, the gender is just different LOL
@WatermelonWhatThe That pastor clearly needs to understand the situation on those who don't feel attracted to someone. Also, im really curious about Christians and wanted to know so i sincerely apologize is if I sounded rude but, I've read something in an article that had me thinking in which of its true that there are LGBTQ Christians because the topic sounded controversial (if im not wrong remembering it, it was like this): ¹ There are no such things as LGBTQ Christians. It's the same as a witch Christian, a serial killer Christian, or a satanist Christian. (I had to search these verses up since I had almost forgotten it) Genesis 1, 27 "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created He them." Male and female does not mean gender, it mean biological sex. ² Homosexuality is wrong, but it all comes down to sin, and son flows from a corrupt heart. That's why we need to accept Jesus and allow the Holy Spirit to do its work. But, even so, we can't straightforwardly tell the person it is wrong everytime we see them won't help them, their sin flows from past hurts etc. (The third part just goes on saying about how Christians should love them. And it sounded like LGBTQ aren't supposed to be part of them) ³We can co exist with others but we have the will to choose to not support what they do or say. If they can be who they truly are, then the point of laws and governing rules for the citizens are of no point useless. We have to love the LGBTQ community but don't support them nor curse at them that they're going to hell because then we're talking like we are a child of Satan. Instead, we have to help them and guide them out of their sinning lives to live in the way of Christ as a child of God. Though, it doesn't mean we aren't sinners to begin with, we ourselves, should repent too as God sees all sins are the same with no exceptions.
You know the funniest/most fucked up part? She created, edited and voiced over the entire video, and not once did she think twice about how it sounded. Maybe, she should've had a second opinion before posting.
@@ganimol9691 yeah, I don’t approve of what she did, but I still won’t hate on her. That’s just dumb. One of few art discourses that's actually understandable. Sexualizing ppl's self-inserts/persona is not at all okay imo considering it's suppose to be them. Yes, some ppl are ok with it but not everyone is. It's not "them" literally, but it's an abstraction that they've design to represent themselves. If Kooleen was gonna "yassify" Jaiden's self-insert, could she have had the common sense and decency to at least NOT reference her actual face? 🤦🏾♀️ Starting to think she does/says questionable shit cuz she knows she's gonna get clicks for it.
Exactly, it was really random and unnecessary for Kooleen to put up a picture of Jaiden irl and comment about her appearance. Instead of using her real life photo as reference, she should've been more creative and redraw Jaiden's avatar in her own style or use her VTuber design as another reference.
MHM self inserts and personas ect Should not be sexualized when a person's CLEARLY said not to. I'm an aroace also, and I was raped as a child leaving me permanently damaged both mentally and physically, so anytime anyone even says anything to me, I lash out at myself and usually end up on the floor bleeding, I've been seeing MANH therapists and psychologists, but there isn't a cure for what happened, the fact people can't fucking understand COMMON KNOWLEDGE and consent is disgusting

@@pufflord_gamesonicsoloesyo2365 Well that’s a foolish idea. Mother Nature has been losing the second we started the Industrial Revolution. The hole in the ozone only cleared up once WE, humanity, stopped using aerosols. Mother Nature yields to any being with sufficient will. While I do value the environment, Mother Nature, which is a fictional character by the way, has never really won a bout with humanity. Pestilence of the four horsemen maybe, but not her.
I can't really draw bald men well, but at least try! What is the point of a challenge where you draw their avatars if you're not going to draw the avatars?? Like personally with Jaiden from a drawing perspective I was like "hmm.." but with James/TheOdd1sOut you're LITERALLY yassifying a real person. Just straight up drawing a "hotter" version of a real man. That's so weird to me
It's just "I can fix him" with extra steps. Like, why don't you leave people alone for not looking how you want and go find someone that actually looks like that for yourself, or spend time bettering yourself as a person (we all know these people won't though). It's like the toxic guys on tiktok saying all the things to never accept about a woman, that literally boil down to "how dare she have curves. Or acne. Or a personality. Unacceptable".
Here I am feeling lowkey guilty simply for finding certain content creators attractive, meanwhile people like this feel the need to be disrespectful and creepy about it. I've only ever heard "goth mommy" used on fictional characters until now and I can't imagine being so socially inept as to use it on a real person who I don't even know lmao
This exactly. Do you have any idea how creepy I felt even thinking about holding someone I knew in real lifes hand? How can someone do this and see nothing wrong??

Obviously, by their own personal standards. For all people, there is something they define as beautiful and something they don't. People are different, it's normal. I don't like a lot of people, for example, and others may not consider me attractive by their own standards. And that's okay in principle.
@@JustArandomPersonXD Well, from her quote, I think she meant that she only paints people who are attractive by her standards. Which is understandable, because you paint what you like. Being a Filipino, this might not be ragebait, it might just be that Koleen is a drama queen. Yes, she's baiting people, but not to get reactions, instead for the drama and being the center of attention
Loved ur reaction to the aroace definition :) to explain in further detail: As far as definitions go, it's someone with no attraction, romantic nor sexual. However, it is also a big part of many people's aroace identity to be disinterested in or actively dislike sex or romance (though there are those with no attraction that enjoy sex and relationships anyway, we call them cupiosexual/romantic). Because of this, there are people who feel attraction but have that dislike or disinterest that feel like they belong in the community as well because they're also isolated by allonormativity (allo being, not asexual/aromantic). We call them orchid(sexual/romantic) and we welcome them. there are lots of sub-labels to the ace, aro, and aroace spectrums but Jaiden is, most likely, fully aroace and has said she does not want to disclose where she falls on the scale of cupio-indifferent-apothi (or favorable-indifferent-averse in normal people terms) for sex and romance. We don't need to know. All we do need to know is she's uncomfortable with being sexualized and Kooleen kinda did that by calling her a goth mommy and saying "ooh la la"
As a fellow aroace, if someone took my art account avatars/sonas and "yassified" them while making a bunch of sexual comments about them I WOULD BLOCK THEM IN EVERY PLATFORM POSSIBLE. Even tho mime dont look as much as me as Jayden's. Also given koolen used IRL Jayden as a reference, thats disgusting. I'd cry. At the point that someone made it clear they don't like sexual comments or being sexualized and someone still does it, THAT'S SEXUAL HARASSMENT.
Why oa, block me later... Imagine. Instead of a stranger trying to friends you will identify them as your enemy because you don't like how they approach you. I mean you will not die in changes to a bunch pixels without a big reason. You have every reason to protect yourself from danger and bad things. NGL, as an aroace lady myself, I was a bit nervous going into this video especially when I realized you didn't know what aroace means. I really do appreciate how chill and immediately understanding you are of it. I've sadly (and I guess unsurprisingly) seen far too much aphobia about aroaces and aspecs in general on youtube and reddit. On with the video, I never watched Kooleen's video about this but did vaguely hear things. The comments she made about everyone (but especially Jaden) felt so sleazy. I'd feel so grossed out in her position. 🤮
@isaacclarke9554 As an aroace person yourself how do you feel about comments using her orientation as a way to criticize Kooleen making Jaiden "hot"? Because to me I thought it was kind of weird how everyone immediately went "Aroace people can't look/dress hot and/or wear revealing clothing" because I don't believe being aroace (or any sexuality) dictates someone's choice in clothing and how they present themselves to the world. I feel like even Jaiden understands that as she notes that being aroace (more specifically ace) is a spectrum.
@@magicalpopfish9570 I'm asexual, not aromantic though. I cant speak on behalf of Jaiden, either. But for me, I generally agree to your sentiments to some extent. To me being asexual does not always inherently mean "modest" or "nonsxual" or "offended/uncomfortable by sxual contents." It seemed a bit infantalizing but i'd like to hope most people meant well. But besides all that, i feel it was more important to respect Jaiden's wishes first and foremost, regardless if she was Aroace or not.
I have a genuine question about being aroace, I only knew about being a asexual so this is kinda new to me too. Does it mean you don't want any relationship at all and prefer to just be solo? I've seen people voluntarily not have partners and live happy lives so I'm wondering if it's like that but you don't have the ability to be attracted to someone like that.

Making art like this of Jaiden's avatar was already scummy because she explicitly made it clear that she did not want any 18+ art made of her. But to use her REAL SELF as a reference is just- NO, that is revolting, and a violation of boundaries. Shame on Kooleen.

As a NSFW creator, the Patricussy doesn't scare me (I still don't want to see that ever again.)
Kooleen is very weak that she can't yassify a "naked bald guy". Pah!
Her comments were inappropriate, especially if people expressed discomfort about this in the past. And if you don't know a person's boundaries, then just don't talk like that, it is literally that simple.
i do draw nsfw but i was NOT ready 💀
I'm not making fun of you nor been disrespectful , I'm really curious, how much do you consider an artist HAVE to know about someone to have to freedom to draw them or use them as a reference
She simply may not know Jaden's Traumans, know days we follow a lot of people in social media, is kind of unrealistic to expect everyone to know every trauma about everyone, just because you know the trauma of someone that doesn't mean every one knows,
Traumas, pets, past relationships, crimimal history there's a lot about every individual you would have to take into consideration
I understand wanting to protect Jaden and I too think the comments were of bad taste BUT shouldn't we give people the right to express the self how they want or the right for and artist to present their work how they want?
Saying that she simply shouldn't draw if she doesn't fullfil you personal check list of what to do or not do is kind of arrogant
The best we can do is simply not support the content we don't like but taking away the right to do a draw something you wanted is going to far

The fact that he looked up what AroAce is says a lot, not even mentioning how he immediately accepted it. We need more people like this.
Girl what
@@sabsain2399 I’m LesbianAce myself (I’m lesbian but I still don’t feel any sexual attraction to anyone, only romantic/platonic feelings) and from my personal experience I’ve seen a lot of “supporting” people immediately look down on people if they aren’t the “classic” Gay/Lesbian/Trans and sometimes even if they are actually supportive they don’t look it up if they don’t really know what it is which could spread misinformation.
I’m just saying that I’m glad that he actually looked it up because he didn’t know it because of what I’ve seen in my own experiences :]
What's the difference between sexual and romantic attraction I genuinely do not understand 😌

People cannot say that people are getting defensive because it was only Jayden's avatar when Kooleen pulled things from Jayden's actual picture, like her tattoos. She's blending the two. It's not JUST the avatar.
When I first saw this video I was thinking "people are being a bit sensitive and overprotective of some parasocial connection with Jay, its just a redesign of the avatar"
Then she took stuff from her actual appearance.... and okay, I kinda get it now. If you wanted to do that there was a way to do it without being disrespectful.

@@mathieul4303very true
Ok but like, it was still the avatar. I'm gonna be honest, if I was to be redrawing an avatar of someone, I would use their irl self too to be able to add more while also keeping it to being them.
I think that's where everyone were too sensitive. I think she overstepped the line when she called her goth mommy but that's it.
@Lexo_The_Moravian I do think Jay is in general way too sensitive for her own size online. And probably draws in fellow sensitive types or toxic positive people.
But making someone's avatar have real features from them kinda misses the point in my books. I think it's kinda lazy. You should be able to work in details from their content maybe to be like "Oh okay so I'm going to add this because I think it fits this" is more interesting than "here's the real people dressed as their avatar"

i think what got me especially was how she yassified james - instead of yassifying his insert character into some, like, hot mr clean dude she felt the need to yassify his irl appearance. i suppose u could argue that his insert character would make it more challenging (given her artstyle) but i dont think it wouldve been *that* much harder to just draw one of her kpop idols bald or smn - directly yassifying people's real appearances just feels so incredibly-disrespectful to me. i doubt it was done w any ill-intent and (in all honesty) i dont think he'd personally care too much, but i could imagine feeling kind of hurt and uncomfortable having that done to my image; w how she presented it, it didnt feel like her drawing him in her art style but (instead) her improving his appearance.
idk though, i could be vastly-overthinking it

yassifying real people (OR their sonas- esp if that sona is basically just them) is so wrong. if you REALLY want to do it, check if they’re fine with that kinda stuff first- and if you can’t find anything, try to reach out to them and ask them.
if they aren’t fine with it, or you don’t get an answer, just.. don’t do it. that’s a real person, not a fictional character. some use their characters to represent themselves- like vtubers- and see that character as an extension of them, whether it looks like them or not (one example I can think of being cyyu) so making inappropriate content of e characters I equivalent to making inappropriate content of the person themself. and it’s weird as shit.

No, neither looks better, you're comparing a cute lil doodle cartoon meant for flexible emotive representation to a detailed one-off personal portrait that's meant to be eye-candy.)
If maybe she only brought up the avatars as references and didn't bother with looking up what they look like I could ignore it, but I can't imagine what was going through Kooleen's mind when she brought up both using the actual youtubers as "reference" to "fix" the models representing them by yass-ifying them while insulting their art styles for not meeting her anime-Korean-webtoon-esque standards? (The style isn't the issue here, but implying you're fixing the style to make it better than the "basic bland millennial" cartoon is weird an obscure. Cartoony styles aren't something that needs to be fixed or really even commented on. Low detail things are fun, high detail things are fun. Both have their pros and cons and are valid regardless. But stop implying you "made it better" for drawing something in a pretty style.)

It could be a good comment but I ain't reading that 💀
100% -- see im a huge advocate for being allowed to draw and write whatever you want but I do draw a line at RPF and using real people as avatars for your sexualization.
Also, im really curious about Christians and wanted to know so i sincerely apologize is if I sounded rude but, I've read something in an article that had me thinking in which of its true that there are LGBTQ Christians because the topic sounded controversial (if im not wrong remembering it, it was like this):
¹ There are no such things as LGBTQ Christians.
And it sounded like LGBTQ aren't supposed to be part of them)
³We can co exist with others but we have the will to choose to not support what they do or say.

Starting to think she does/says questionable shit cuz she knows she's gonna get clicks for it.
You hit the nail on the head, she's the Asmongold of the art community
Exactly, it was really random and unnecessary for Kooleen to put up a picture of Jaiden irl and comment about her appearance. Instead of using her real life photo as reference, she should've been more creative and redraw Jaiden's avatar in her own style or use her VTuber design as another reference.
It’s literally all for clicks because she finds it hilarious, and people will ALWAYS defend her
MHM self inserts and personas ect Should not be sexualized when a person's CLEARLY said not to.
Then it should all come under "My oc don't steal" territory like everyone's self-inserts? and like no one needs to DTIYS recognized self-inserts then?

@@jacksonvoet8312 Well you're not wrong, but mother nature always wins, her track record is spotless
The fact that some species reproduce without sex, and some species like penguins form same sex couples implies that remnants of the behavior of I attraction is likely still in our DNA. While I do value the environment, Mother Nature, which is a fictional character by the way, has never really won a bout with humanity. Pestilence of the four horsemen maybe, but not her.

Obviously, by their own personal standards. For all people, there is something they define as beautiful and something they don't.
People are different, it's normal. I don't like a lot of people, for example, and others may not consider me attractive by their own standards. And that's okay in principle.
It's not about how nice someone is , it's about looks, we shouldn't really hate someone because of there looks

Yeah, I'm glad I'm not watching her content, especially ever since that "gorilla" incident
Loved ur reaction to the aroace definition :) to explain in further detail:
As far as definitions go, it's someone with no attraction, romantic nor sexual.
Also cultural (mis)appropriation of the black community and AA(V)E?
Why oa, block me later... Imagine. Instead of a stranger trying to friends you will identify them as your enemy because you don't like how they approach you. I mean you will not die in changes to a bunch pixels without a big reason. You have every reason to protect yourself from danger and bad things. But spamming hate because of mindset is just straight toxic. She didn't even make nswf like what people do politicians or what call like vandalizing or boyism act like rule 34. It is just a fan art. 😢 I really don't know why guys are acting aggressive just for supporting someone. I wish someday guys you learned how cyber bullying works. And not pretend to not guilty to your action.
@@jeusmarcomascarina4102 Making SEXUAL COMMENTS like calling her a GOTH MOMMY TOWARDS someone that has already said they DON'T want any of that is SEXUAL HARASSMENT.

@@jeusmarcomascarina4102 Unwanted sexual comments towards someone is legit sexual harassment. Jaiden is a REAL PERSON who has openly stated she does NOT want these comments made about or towards her. 🤮
Same
@isaacclarke9554 As an aroace person yourself how do you feel about comments using her orientation as a way to criticize Kooleen making Jaiden "hot"?
@@slimebunny5700 Aromantic means that one doesn't experience any type of romantic emotions.
