@@ghsense2626You will pick up the accent of the region you live in. My wife that moved to germany from romania 12 years ago speaks decent german now but with a bit of a swabian accent. 😂
The thing is you wont even recognize it. Even if you move to another place in your home country you will pick up a bit of the accent the people around you talk.

I got Like 666! She's a devil woman. But seriously isn't it a bit pathetic that just about every other channel hires their presenters based on sporting achievement + an element of good looks. Most are bland and boring. The fact that Katie Abdo is obviously very attractive is a side note to why she is so good at her job. Professionalism, knowledge, charm, banter, actual genuine wit and a damn good sense of humour. She is a rare breed in presenters, male or female.

Kates german accent is very, very good (far better than Marchs, he sounds quite American in his German) and her simultaneous
translations are always flawless.
In this video though, it's the first time ive ever seen her make a "big" mistake in German. She says "habe sehr gefällt", a word for word translation for "i liked it a lot", but it's grammatically completely wrong and it actually striking because her german usually is C1/2 level and that's a rather A2/B1 mistake.

@@MatthcaBof course it's forgivable, especially considering she spoke english before and after the whole time. It's also not a "big" mistake, i rather meant a quite noticeable mistake for native speakers.
I think she said "hat mir sehr gefällt", which is still wrong (should be gefallen), but it is a rather light mistake for a non native speaker
I think the video is cutted at that point and does not give the full frase Kate said. So it seems she make that error. Must search full interview.

Much respect to Kate Abdo more women should strive to be like her.
When her career ends we will miss her. There’s no other sports presenter this smarts, prepared, likeable. Not on any sport. She usually does live translations herself and can interview anyone in any language with any accent without losing temper. It’s so impressive.
