🙏what a great challenge! I am not a reader and at this point of my life am challenged to do my daily devotions that isn't nearly that much reading. BUT I will be praying for you all in your challenge. I love it when we work together for Christ's cause.
🙋♀️🙋♀️🙋♀️ I'm all in! I really need to do this. It's helpful too when you're not doing it by yourself. I know this is going to be hard and I'll even have days where I truly don't feel like reading but I also know it'll be helping me in the area of discipline which is what I've been praying for help for lately. Also, it'll be such a sweet feeling of victory come January. Lol :)
Hello my friend. My name is John. What am I about to say? I hope encourages you all. I am visually impaired. I’ve been like this since 2000. Long story short I started listening to my Bible that year. On January 1, I started on Genesis on June 30 I finished Revelation chapter 22. Well, that same year July 1 I went back to Genesis and I finished Revelation on December 31. I’ve been doing this for 24 years! Please make it part of your life give up and yes, you will have challenges along the way, but it becomes part of you the more you do it. Made God bless you all. Stay strong stay focused. I almost forgot to mention I’ve been doing this by myself for about 20 years then one day my cousin mentioned why don’t you add people to this? Well, I sure did now I am in charge of two groups, six months and one year group.God is so wonderful! God bless you all
🙋Thank you for this! Like you I've been a follower of Christ throughout my adult life, but despite some mediocre efforts, I've never read the Bible cover to cover. I've been going through what I'll call a time of growth (along with some growing pains) in my faith lately and really feel called to spend time with the Word. I think I'm going to do a slightly different plan, which is a one-year rather than six-month plan, but I'm here with you and would appreciate all the prayers to see this through!
I love this!! I’m so happy that you are going to be doing this too! Different plan or not, we are both going to be trying hard to read the word of God on a consistent basis and I will definitely be praying for you! 🙌🏻 we can do this! 💪🏻
🙋🏻♀️. I started working my way through a few months ago trying to read a bit everyday. I’m just beginning Leviticus now, hopefully this will help me stay focused!
Hey everyone, I hope this encourages Some of you. When you are visually impaired and you cannot read your Bible you basically have no choice but to listen to it. I’m doing it for the 48th time about to start 49 this January one. Every six months cover to cover has been a blessing! A couple of years ago I had some friends do it with me so, I started a one year Bible listening group with other friends it got larger so I started a two year Bible listening group with other friends. Here I am visually impaired and helping people.I’m working on three groups starting up again this January. Care to join me?? May God bless you all?
I am currently on my 12th read-through of the Bible. I end on June 24th. Then I start again on June 26th & go to December 23rd. I give myself the 24th & 25th off. It's much easier for me to do it that way.
My Bible has more books than yours :) One of the cool parts is the story of the Maccabees, which is how the tradition of Hanukkah got started. Jesus celebrated Hanukkah and read the books taken out by Martin Luther. I have a new Catholic Journaling Bible, so I might do this!

Yes! I totally get that. Thank you for your prayers!! ♥️
🙋I'm going to start off today. Never read before except gospels, acts and couple of letters.

It took me 8 months to read the entire bible. But it was a catholic bible which has more books in it.
Oh yea that would take longer, congrats though! That’s great!

Yea someone else mentioned having a Bible with more chapters so if you were to read it in 6months it would be harder. But that’s neat!
