Welcome Back to the Whale Channel!
In today’s video, We’re back with another travel day!!! I’m doing my usual route of a direct flight from Dublin to Orlando on an A330 flight with Aer Lingus. If you don’t know already, this plane is incredible outdated but spoiler they did state on the plane that all of those nasty ones are due to get a refurb in early 2024 so hopefully if you’re travelling in February onwards you’ll have an enjoyable flight!
I show you all of my little tricks that I like to use before hopping on this flight to make it as enjoyable as possible! This time was surprisingly delightful purely down to the crew on board! They are all amazing and super welcoming. The incredible sunset that we saw as we flew into Florida also helped!

There is always an exciting moment going down that escalator, like "yes were headin' stateside" kinda feeling.We were on the same plane in summer. High season plane wedged and most of the screens frozen or not working.
I always have to film that escalator cos it’s the true beginning on the holidays!
They said on my flight back that the planes are due to be refurbed in January so hopefully it’ll be fixed soon. It’s ridiculous the state of those planes!!

I’m loving it so far! I’m such a slow reader though, I’m only about 300 pages into Wings & Ruin. I think though once I get to the last 100 pages, I’ll fly through it like all SJM books 😂
ACOTAR is the only books or series I have read by SJM. I am a cassian kind of girl and I love nesta because I relate to her more.
I don’t know if I have a favorite character yet. I’m fond of them all so much. I do love seeing the little conspiracy theories about the next book even though I haven’t finished the series!
Oh I understand, there is only one person that really pees me off. But with this reread I forgot how much I love this story!
Hey I’m doing this route in 10 days time and worried about getting the shitty plane how do I know or find out which is the crap and which is the good one just out of curiosity?
I normally check flight radar the week coming up to my flight to see what the pattern is but you won’t know for certain until the day before. If you’re on the shitty plane, you’ll get an email saying that there no wifi on board - that’s how you know you’re in for a ride.
When you’re looking on flight radar, if the plane number (the number under equipment) is EI-EIL or EI-EIK it’s the bad plane. If it’s any other number, you’re safe and you’ll have functioning touch screens!

They did say they were slowly taking it out of rotation but god knows when that’ll be. Basically if you get an email the night before saying there is no wifi… it’s bad news. Crossing my fingers for you though!
