Oh God, I wish. The emerald and gold parts should have never been replaced. The thing is those models are different because ratchet's shape and rig and all that was modified, so that's considerably harder than this.
The funny thing about that one is I think they created a separate model for Ratchet with that outfit. That's probably why it's the only in game cutscene where he doesn't change to the skin or armour you're currently using.
Man I wish I can do this on actual ps2 hardware because currently playing through 1 and gonna play up til deadlocked and wish there was a Classic ratchet skin for 2 and deadlocked
@@Rutchet At 2:00 it looks like the widescreen option in-game is enabled. At 2:45 the emulator is running at 16:9, but I'm guessing that the widescreen option in-game was disabled.
how exactly do we replace the model i cant find Ratchets Texture online at all nor do i know where im looking for it in my orginal Disks along with if we find the texture in what directory do i put the Replacement Texture i dont wanna replace the shoes i just wanna get rid of the commando suit
It's long to say how exactly, but I'll tell you the latest version of pcsx2 has 2 features you need: texture dumping (to get the texture from the first game), and texture replacement (to substitute the texture in the second game). Or you can get a 3D model of the first game, it is bundled with the texture
The new versions have a texture replacement feature. It works by enabling it and by putting into a specific folder a file that has the name of the texture you want to override when you start the game.
@@Rutcheti managed to get everything else, no helmet (by deleting the texture completely) but I can’t get rid of the boots, and I don’t know how to resize the feet
hey so, i decided to do this but replacing the beach boy skin instead, which also has the straps on the leather hat. one thing i cant figure out though is how to restore the feet, how would i go about doing that?
I might try it and I'll probably make a video explaining how to achieve the skin in more detail. The beach boy skin could work, I'm not really sure the base model is identical though, I'll have to check.
wasnt it a cheat you could turn on once you had enough skill points, you could be tuxedo ratchet and clown ratchet, i know you could definitely be first game ratchet in RaC3, am i losing my mind?
For the shoes you have to look for an array of bytes that is equal to 55 15 3E, then change it with a lower value (I used 55 15 00); not all the values you will find have to be changed. For the feet it's harder: you have to look for an array of bytes that starts at 0A D7 23 3C and then change it to 00 00 80 3F; again not all the values you will find have to be changed. Keep in mind the game tries to restore the original value, so you will have to use something to brute force the size you want, breakpoints worked for me. It also seems like the values will change memory address every time you load the game, or at least this is what happened to me, so you will have to save the status of the game to save time while setting up everything.
First, you have to find the instructions that write on the value you want to change (F6 from the addresses table will show you the list); Then you have to use the "change register at this location" functionality once you find the right assembly line. Then you'll have to change the right registry, which you should find in the instruction itself

Can you do this but in deadlocked
@@vitocolombo8876 I don't think it's possible in that game but I'll check it out one day
Can you do a tutorial??
@@vitocolombo8876Likely not, Ratchet's model was updated in Deadlocked to have true spherical eyes.
After 20 years the skin has returned to the second game! Now we somehow have to get the Alpha Suit from 3 in Deadlocked.
I fully agree! I love UYA's version of it! Sure GC is great but i like it better in UYA
Ya'know, I was looking at the thumbnail and clicked. Got an ad about a cat the same color as Ratchet. Hang in there little buddy. 😅
I've always wanted to play as Old School Ratchet in Going Commando, thanks for showing it's possible!
I'd love to play the entire game like this.

"always has been"

Clank: Going Up Your Deadlocked Ratchet

Megacorp forgot to give Ratchet his commando suit, so he has to go with his casual outfit from the previous adventure.
