Mike, this was a treat. I've been listening since the beginning and this is easily my favorite episode among so many great ones. The joke was something like, "If you want to see what the future looks like, Google your aunt." Makes no sense, you were perplexed, and I couldn't stop laughing. That's Steve Martin level non-sequitur comedy. Jo makes me consistently laugh and you got to what her funny is. Wish this would have been two hours. I adore here in the same way I worship Maria Bamford and Julie Klausner. They could read a recipe and I'd die.
@@SecretGermsGrammatical corrections make sense if the mistake you're correcting seems like it comes from an actual misunderstanding of the English language someone can be assisted with and learn from. This is obviously a simple typo, not a misunderstanding of English. Your comment seems pointless.

This is a literal delight from start to finish. Remember that other guest who you asked to rank your friendship and they shut you down? You literally ranked your friendship here and it was so pleasant. Would you answer? Yes. When? 8a-2a. Done. Just riffin bits baby 🎉🎉🎉
Excellent interviewing Mike, your straight man/recap reflective listening with Jo maxed out all the funny from y'all's convo! I was wildly entertained yet often had no idea how we got there. Jo's perspective and selective-detail storytelling made for so many "wait, what?" laughs.
I love Jo Firestone. I found her via Joe Pera Talks With You...could you get Joe's number from her? You are both so thoughtful, I think you guys would have a fantastic conversation.
Oh my god this was so funny and so odd and uncomfortable. She’s like an interviewer’s nightmare and you can see Mike is trying so hard to figure out where to go next, and eventually they found their rhythm. I also laughed harder than most of the other episodes of this. 😂😂
please don’t put the bit from the middle upfront, it’s boring to hear it the second time….why are you doing that? People who select your channel have already decided to watch your video, that first bit isn’t hooking us.
love your podcast! sorry to say this tho but... could you guys PLEASE no drink and swallow into the microphone? is so cringy to hear it all in your ear, so much detail and high volume almost asmr in the worst way..
I have loved Jo Firestone since I first saw her in Joe Pera’s tv show! What a delight.
That's a good fit.
I love Jo so much. So glad she'll be head writer of the new "After Midnight" post-Colbert slot.

I bought the book, Jo!! ❤❤❤

Jo Firestone has become the best podcast guest on earth.
I just watched “Old Man and the Pool” on Netflix (released Nov. 2023), and it was fabulous! Pure Bir-bigs at his finest! ❤❤❤
jo firestone is amazing, I look forward to the "women getting ready" movie. (which could use a bit of story framing from that old 'Friends' episode)
Here for Jo
That library joke was utterly hilarious in its original form.
You have inspired me to start swimming! I hope I can do it, since you can! Loved the Netflix show!
I loved the shit out of her performance in Joe Pera Talks With You

Thanks, Jo.
What a treat. A heavy one I think, but beautiful to witness.
Lol! What does it say about me that I get her?
That you're awesome?🙃
So relatable! Mixed feelings about this.
I want to marry Jo Firestone❤💍
Just subbed because I found you on netflix.... First video I watched...:) lol ill be with you for life now

The romance novel bit needs to end with: What the library seems to forget is that everyone takes the books into the bathroom.
i love this person
idk the concept of fucking a book is incredibly funny to me
Dang, I really like Jo!!...crushin.
So interesting to hear comedy broken down.
Love jo! Listen to Dr. Gameshow!
I rewound and watched Jo uncomfortably say 'penetration' no less than 5 times.
Dr Gameshow introduced me to this wonderful person and my life is so much funnier for it
Slice!
she's so cute i love her :3
I still dont know what that joke means.
The original book joke was better
I am clamoring for women getting ready. I demand it even

It's a fad. Hopefully it'll pass.
@@richsackett3423 it’s annoying, like starting a book with excerpts from the middle
I have been hooked by the initial bit. It works. There's a reason for it.
@@hypercranium317 enjoy then, i ff

And you say people pay to hear this woman talk. Fascinating.
Her voice is the reason people stand on railroad tracks.
A perfect pairing for NO2! 😂
