assassin personally i prefer highs in my jordan 1’s. With these royal toes I say highs are the way to go, but the lows are still sick. True to size be the way to go on these as well.

I believe all color blocking can't be the same every time or you end up with the same shoe over and over just in different colorway. The color blocking gives variety to what the company can do with the colorway. It's one of my fave 1's! I did an unboxing and review as well. I think this is a good modern color blocking of some classic colours. B+, would be A+ if the leather was like the Travis’s or shattered backboards, but that’s too much to ask for from Nike.
This color blocking is better than the frags to me. I never really liked the white toe on those or even the OG black toes. I can’t say I wouldn’t take em if I could for retail but I do prefer this blocking.
I feel like they changed the color blocking because of the fragments because if they copied the fragments color blocking and just added the royal toe then these would have been better than the fragments in my opinion and would have taken away from a sought after collaboration. Still like em tho and still was a must cop for me, mines came yesterday. Wish I had the frags tho.

The real question is if the fragments never came out and this colorway and the fragment colorway came out at the same time without the fragment logo objectively what shoe would you chose without bias ? Or is that impossible knowing how iconic the fragments are ?
I like the Fragment style better with No Bias. I like the Blue Toe but it would have been better with the Bred Toe Style. If it had Blue around the Heel it would have been 🔥

I think the hype on these is based upon the Fragments. But fire is in the eye of the beholder. I grabbed the Purple J1s and those are even more fire in my opinion. But less hyped.
