"It would be better for Nigel Farage if he is the only Reform candidate to become an MP" - Rachel Cunliffe
Freddie Hayward and Rachel Cunliffe discuss the unravelling of Reform UK as yet another candidate has suspended her campaign - and defected to the Conservatives.
With less that two days to go until the general election, they also discuss the hypocritical Conservative attacks on Keir Starmer who has said he will try Tory candidates who are already vying to take over the party leadership after the election.

Vote Reform and ensure you will never have Tories in power again. All it takes is for Reform to get more actual votes than them, nevermind seats. If that happens, the Tories are an ex party!

Because it's interesting. And most of this election isn't. The media circus is otherwise a bit starved of pizazz.
By that I mean there's actually not a lot to say about the Tory-Labour positions. Most people's decision to vote down the Tories was made before the election was announced and frankly Labour are going out of their way to look as safe and uncontroversial a vote option as possible. There's only so many "Tories heading for oblivion" headlines you can put on things before people's eyes glaze over.
On the other hand Farage and his fascist-lite PLC add some drama and uncertainty to proceedings. Their antics are much more meaty for talk shows than Ed Davey falling off a surfboard or John Swinney blaming the English for everything again. I believe the two options for a true opposition to a big Labour majority are Reform and Green (The rest are too similar to Starmer's Labour) and in my opinion the greens are Economically illiterate to the point of delusion, so that rules them out for me. Also, while I in no way believe immigration is as bad for us as Farage thinks it is, the fact he is the only one who is brave enough to say that the population increase is unsustainable (which in my opinion, it is) is worrying. Freefall? I'm waiting for post election articles blaming pollsters for "getting it wrong" when Reform do better than expected.
As someone who cannot stand reform UK Ltd, i hope they gain around 18-19% of the vote because if they do then the Tories will be squashed into 3rd place in seats getting a sad two questions at PMQ's.
a lot of reform voters are going to realise on july 5th that all those people online they thought were real and agreed with them were in fact russian bots and american maga crazies.
We have that in common at least.
@@emmaeltringham91 Not worth it; better to have Lib Dems as the opposition
@@Boghopper9999 I'm pretty sure that's what i said. Reform UK winning 18-19% would only win 6-10 seats. The Lib Dems would be 2nd in seats, the Tories 3rd and the SNP 4th.
Farage will be fine. He'll get the cash, which is the point for him. Any political power is not there , which he knows. Dosh is king.
Well, he’s already getting a £73,000 per annum ‘pension’ as an ex-MEP.
If Farage was from a secondary school in a rough part of town, but no he`s part of the elite. A public school boy, lives in a big house with a swimming pool, and 5 cars.
@@localreviewking134 I would not call him 'elite'. Succesesful con man, yes. He is rubbish.
Farage, the failed German and French citizen. They did not accept him as a citizen. The red, white and blue socks he wears are no doubt recycled from the days she saw himself as a future French citizen.
@@localreviewking134you know Starmer has millions in the bank too, it was his dad that was a factory worker, not him.
When labour takes power you can guarantee that every one of the client media will try and blame labour for all the calamities perpetrated by the tories.
I am listening to another brainwashed young man.
