Husband material's intro is always a BOMB
Seriously o! My thoughts exactly.... He should be given an award o🤦♀️
Leo DaSilva is intelligent, he knows what he's saying... I enjoyed every bit of this conversation, so insightful ❤
This Leo guy makes rich kids look even more enviable. He talks so smoothly and so intelligently. Nice one honest bunch.
TOUN God bless you.... The truth is that corruption has eaten the real estate industry, these are the challenges I'm facing. Another thing is d Urban regional planning commission are not doing the right things. Professional Architects are bin under valued
I love that conversations and the topics have evolved. Truly “honest bunch” came with growth.
Absolutely the best episode everrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!😂🤗 First of all, Leo is so full of knowledge and the way he communicates clearly is amazing. Learnt so much from this episode. I want a part 2!😩
My dad owns 21 flats in Lagos, I live in one of them with tenants, and I am very sure they are happy that a landlord representative lives with them and that is because I make sure I am thoughtful towards them because I am a tenant as well, I have 3 shops I rented so I understand how tenants feel, and I am my landlord favorite tenant because as a landlord I understand what landlords want. Take care of the building you live weather you own or rent.
Please lease one flat to me. ☺️
Whao! This is the best podcast i have ever watch (personal opinion) Leo broke everything down and it was really educative God bless Nedu and his crew for bringing Leo to this podcast

Very intriguing yet thought 💭 provoking, this is a timeless piece 👌verified 💯
Still can't get over Dr foy's episode tho...pls bring him back or give him a permanent sit on this podcast
I believe festac town still has the best drainage I have seen in the entire Lagos. Like festac never gets flooded no matter the amount of rainfall.
Very Interesting & enlightening topic..i must say, Leo's calm demeanour says alot about him..kudos to him...
The Question i would have asked him is how does he deal with Omo oniles' and with the empty houses in the axis of Ikoyi( Banana Island & Park view to bw precise) what happens to those houses as we know the property gets dilapidated. And would it appreciate on the long run.
The koko is everyone has a price. The summary of this podcast. Wonderful show
Ever since I started watching this podcast this is my best episode. Keep it up guys, God bless you all.
Am going to keep this particular episode.
Is full of premium information for future reference, Leo delivered intelligently and professionally.
Guyz keep this intelligent people coming. Love you.
Husband Material introduction deserve a Grammy award. Nedu with the GISTS lol
in the early 2000s so it’s possible. Go to orile some of the buildings till date are still being repossessed or under tenancy by the ojoras
The only problem I have with this program is waiting for a week. We should have 2 programs a week cos this program too much. ❤❤❤❤❤
I have watched this episode more than once in full and 🙌🏾. It was very informative
Who decides what qualifies a place as prime real estate? Infrastructure, civilization, relative value of the properties nearby, quality of people that move there, fake hype, over-valuation.
Every episodes is insightful
Thank you so much all the teams
This is one episode that connected with my mind..... una talk very serious talk and I didn't fast forward..... Nice....
Yessss, the bank where my mum works told her years ago that they wanted to buy lands and if they had money they should come and buy too, that was years back like 2000-2004, now they are in court bcos the land has been sold to different people and they are pushing and pushing the case, now the land is worth millions of naira, nothing is going on
Great advice from LEO 👏👏👏👏
They do that in chevron estate too....
Vetting everybody
This episode is very insightful and informative well done guys 👍
1:13:00 Thank you for this talk on real estate I want to make a statement about various fees been asked on rent it is mostly a direct Mandate from the landlord and their lawyer.
Love this show. Leo is vast in real estate business. Nice to see young men do what they love and blossom with it. Toun, said neighbour,Okay na.

I really enjoyed the conversation. Real estate is something that we don’t talk enough about. Kudos Leo & the Honest Bunch crew👍🏾
Omo I don learn a lot today ooo... God... God bless you all... For impacting knowledge every episode
Same thing happened in ijora, orile and other iganmu areas. The lands got repossessed by the ojoras
The most educative episode, I believe Leo had more information to drop.

As expected it always 100% a great show..
Lets repost and share the podcast ❤❤
You guys are having excellent and honest conversation and I started watching you guys recently. Just to correct the opinion of HUSBAND MATERIAL that is a criminal organization. it's not a criminal organization, it is simply nigeria system of life(Absolute corruption.
This was one of my favorite episodes.. Thanks guys!!!
Leo is such a fine young man... What?! Soooooooo inspiring listening to him
It is good that we are having this conversation.
My brother just moved from an estate at sangotedo to an estate at Igboefon, I can tell you without mincing words that I'd have preferred him to stay put at the previous. The new place, tho called Lekki axis, is useless! It's an estate with duplexes and a building which contains a block of 14/16 flats: soak away water flowing out!
When I enquired about the plan to correct the eye-sore, I was told that the thing is normally drained every two months! They contribute 5k every two months to drain soak away! The flat is another issue: all the accessories are bad and the new occupant has to repair them at his own expense! Funny😢
Wonderful episode
But I would like to say that though government are building houses which is really not for the low income earners and a lot of people have applied 3-4 years before the buildings are completed and publicized. Looking at the Sangotedo, Gbagada housing scheme, if you are just hearing about it and you feel you want to buy you rarely would be able to buy it directly from Government except person weh know person as a lot of it have been allocated to people who are reselling.
Every week is a new blessing with The Honest Bunch.
I love love this conversation, I stand with Leo on government regulating house rent to monthly payment
LEO IS A KING !
I love u all dis topic is so educating, Leo very intelligent nice one 👏
My favorite podcast ❤
Wao, this is a wonderful episode. God bless you Leo for this .
Please explain what you mean by rightfully owned, i have the CofO for all the lands i have bought and signed by court in Abraham Adesanya and Ibeju Lekki, and i am not giving the land to nobody till i am settled.
This podcast is very interesting and funny
Thank u glitch Africa
Surveyor is gold in Lagos.
That's how it is in Abuja....empty estates for laundering money
Husband material meets the real Husband material.
It’s not a Lagos thing. In the Netherlands you have to show 3 months bank statement + 3 months work payment slip. You have to earn 3.5x the rent.
It's worse here cos you're paying for one year and some can even ask for 2 years rent
Thanks leo,very educative
i always like this podcast before watching cuz i know i must learn something from it
I learned a lot from this conversation for sure.
Wat a beautiful episode, listener perfect gentleman and calm
That's true, now that husband material mentioned, I won Sangotedo scheme under Lagos Homes ( fashola's time)and you won"t believe that the equity we paid 8yrs ago has vanished..one the scheme has been reallocated to themselves, and for us making us noise, have been asked to come and pay additional 25M to get allocation again...Ambode abandoned it and then Sanwo olu came and reallocated it to his pple and we have been asked to go to court...
Please bring leo on a part 2. He is just too intelligent.
In Dubai or the UAE in general, you cannot rent an apartment unless you have a cheque. rent are paid monthly or every two months, now before you move in, you must drop postdated cheques of your choice annually. If at any point, your cheque bounces, a fine will be issued to the account and the house owner reserves the right to get a court order. and this happens immediately, the landlord can get this court order from the comfort of their homes. you cannot exit the country until you pay that money, or you may face jail term. these terms are fully backed up by the government. There is no escape.
Interesting episodes. Lots of gems dropped and I learned a lot
Me my own is I Can’t wait for Dr foy to come bk
U guys should b fast about it 😂
Toun is right.. I live in vgc. people that live in vgc have old money
Fair to say this is one of the most interesting episodes.
Best episode! 🎉🎉 thanks for the Ajah gist
I like this episode more insightful kudos to u all 👏👏👏
This episode is very informative thanks guys
wow, I really enjoyed and learned a lot from this conversation.
Lot of those abandoned buildings na to launder illegal funds. While some na warehouse for cash.
Great job, guys. This conversation is important to have at this level of media. But there's quite a lot of misinformation here because you don't have the right professionals on the platform. Make no mistakes, real estate practitioners have little or no knowledge on the technical side of the industry save for buying and selling.
This episode is so educating with the perfect guest. Well done guys👏. Not Leo saying he “knows what he does to the ladies” 😄. The one and only HONEST BUNCH, always on point 🫡
Had to come back and watch this episode again bruh, a lot said here.
My landlady is the best.... God bless her for me
I ve said it b4 after 419 na real estate
Nedu needs to reduce the way he interrupts current speakers
Please advise the guest (Leo DaSilver, great guy) that in most jurisdictions, an occupier with an imperfect title or no title can acquire a perfect title to property by adverse possession if their occupation has been continuous, hostile, open, actual, exclusive and uninterrupted (ie: he actively carries on as an owner and no one challenges his rights).
Meaning: Those buying and building houses on land that the govt owns (but govt is unwilling to assert ownership over a long time), are acquiring right of ownership as they continue to live there openly and unmolested for a long time. It usually takes 10-12 yr in several jurisdictions for an adverse possessor to acquire full rights equivalent to an estate in fee simple.
Everything leads back to a good Government. In countries with good system they do Monthly rentals, If you want to rent a house, you have to sign a contract of 1 year upwards with a law firm, pay 3 months down payment of the monthly rental fees ( in case you damage anything in the house or can’t pay). If you can’t pay, the landlord will serve you quit notice and your rent will be deducted and if you don’t quite, police will be involved and you have to go to court immediately for breach of contract. So tenant won’t want it to go that far and landlord that discriminate based on race or religion, you can report to the police and action will be taken asap.
I learnt a lot on this. I stay in abaranje too oo, make God elevate me self comot this area go better area 😂😂
I’m in Unn ooo
These landlords have audacity sha😂😂😂
Well done guyz! Very insightful
I really enjoyed this episode , it’s was a real eye opener
The bottom line is becasue Nigerian Goverment does not provide any basic human life, society necessity. All has been privatize
That’s how they do in the western world, before you rent an apartment in the Uk you have to provide 6 months bank statements and also your work reference, plus a criminal background check will be done on you . After all the checks as been done and successful it will be only then they will give it to you.
Also i see people looking for house with specification that the landlord must not be living in the house or is dead
Omo this landlord tenant issue long
Meanwhile we have one tenant in one of our flats who was owing over 20 months rent but we woke up one morning to discover the guy have varnished
My experience while growing up with tenants made me to rather build industries than rental houses like my father did
Everybody running to get house in lekki, forgetting the state of that zone... No good water
the best podcast in Nigeria... all sense and no nonsense 👍
Talking about real estate, i like to hear hear this kind of "gist" with GRV. Cos his architectural acumen is untapped.
