This was a great playstyle to adopt in the middle of the game, I would argue that liandry instead of hullbreaker would have been a crazy difference in value and also something like trinity instead of hexplate (has some CDR to offset the loss, atk spd and the sheen effect gives you more agency solo as you wont have the maiden on you almost never)
it's also a great exercise to stop and question what would be the best play given the current game circumstances, it's one of the best methods for learning better decision making
Hexplate with 30 ultimate haste is too good early on, especially when losing Maiden is a 3 minute penalty. Replacing Hexplate late game is okay because more CD became redundant.
Trinity falls off late-game a little. For team-fighting his priority was surviveability, hence Death's Dance and GA. And for pressuring structures he already had Hullbreaker which scales better with HP (300% base AD + 10% your health against structures) and has movement speed utility. Trinity would've been okay and is great for big slaps, but it doesn't have that utility which is the main thing. Hullbreaker wasn't used effectively in this game since it wasn't opportune, yet the pressure of having hullbreaker remains.
Liandry's could've worked. No real hp outside of Teemo, and Teemo just deletes Maiden with blind. Think about why you're using Liandry's and don't just default to it. The intent was to draw away an enemy while being useful at taking objectives, hence the defensive items instead of offensive. I also imagine he kept Axiom because it's generally optimal to have an armor shred + 1 lethality item. Usually isn't a bad choice as a late/last item though.
What's really fun about this game for me is that someone on the team chatted about wanting a 5-5 fight and just in time, you're explaining that you have to split push to win
@@크레이모 Korea is crazy sometimes. You get such mixed decisions about how to win games. There's some times where I'll be like follow me I r top we bot and they follow perfectly, and other times they just spam ping my r and tell me to go to my server.
The other crazy one is they think I'm impersonating a foreigner and start typing things like speak korean dont practice english here lol

This got me wondering if Axiom Arcanist (the new rune) worked the same way as Axiom Arc (the item), so I went into practice tool. It does NOT. The new rune doesn't store refunded time like the item does. The new rune will only refund cooldown AFTER maiden dies. It could potentially be a valid option of a rune because you also get access to celerity which is pretty nice, and it still amps your ult's damage. It just doesn't give nearly as much CD refresh. I want to see something super troll like Experimental Hexplate, Axiom Arcanist, Axiom Arc, Ultimate Hunter, and Malignance - just R2 permanently.
It's so funny that you say this because my exact playstyle right now and newest build is literally stacking ultimate haste. Right now i'm Hexplate > Axiom Arc > Cleaver and running ultimate hunter + Transcendence.
Maiden goes to 47 second cooldown, drop her as often as i can and go for max macro playstyle.
The problem is comet and it's scaling early, it's difficult to do the early game - but its stupidly rewarding if you can get away with it.
“It’s quite funny” might be the BIGGEST understatement. It might just be THE single funniest matchup to rewatch. He blows his entire kit and barely does any damage you care about. But if your Q touches his face he disintegrates. 😂

I tried Axiom Arc in an ARAM I played this week, and one Maiden cooldown was 13 seconds
I remember seeing this game on some random Yorick replay channel 2 days ago and it was peak, was wondering why you went experimental hexplate and no MR even when enemy team has Akali and Teemo
Before I turned into a bloodthirster Yorick top user I actually went max haste Yorick for maiden split;
with ultimate hunter, hexplate, hollow radiance, symbiotic souls as support Yorick I think i went 15-0 in wins on my iron account which I thought was kind of crazy, I didn’t even have to play the game, survive lane and drop maiden opposite for pressure similar to you, kind of busted strat that no Yorick does lol

yo @Ninetales have you encounter a bug when leaving ghouls on a camp like red or blue in the bush and then ghouls deaggro and leave the buff nt finishing it, i dont ever remember this happen to me before this patch in league history, and watching the replays i see that if i leave the buff in the bush and some ghouls are not inside the bush they will leave even if the camp still attak them or for example if i leave 2 ghouls outside the bush and 1 ghoul inside the bush that is tanking the camp if that ghoul die the others will leave the camp not finishing it its really annoying and can fuck up the start clear tho
Funny you mention this, yeah i have. There's definitely some interactions that i haven't worked all out yet that cause pets to reset, especially around the bush.
Your best bet is to make sure the blue is only barely in the bush so it gives the ghouls enough space to entirely consume themselves in the bush.
Otherwise if you don't want to risk it, don't bait it into the bush - it's just a little riskier.

Hey, have you shared your thoughts about Axiom Arcanist anywhere? If not, what are they? Specifically, the damage amp, not so much the CDR refund.
So i've given it a good effort so far, I think the rune is better than i thought initially. The problem is that it's in the sorcery tree and there is really only one keystone there we actually pro-actively use for damage - Comet. So it's gated by how good comet is because you would only go sorcery for the primary page.
It has a lot of hidden power because damage vs monsters and minions isn't counted towards the tooltip, so a lot of my games are 800 bonus damage vs champions but that doesn't show the amp vs minions.
I think its good, i just don't know if comet is good enough to warrant it. Phase rush feels too weak for me right now, i definitely need more damage in runes rather than utility.

is there a place for the "overgrowth" rune if you gonna drop maiden and get more farm?
Unfortuantely it's only what's near Yorick, so the maiden drop doesn't actually count towards it unless Yorick is nearby - otherwise i was definitely on board with this idea too.
First time I saw one of these post game vod reviews, I thought I would be un-enthused. That was not the case, and has yet to be. I like your live content as well, and would like to see both in the future, even if you lean one way or the other.

Love these split maiden game
I'm pretty much exclusively playing maiden split right now so you're in lucky. My current build is 110-130 ultimate ability haste and dropping maiden non stop on 45s cooldown lol
7:48 speaking of efficiency ..... tiamat will let you clear faster at all camps .... its active is like a cheatcode for 2 atk speed daggers .... and aoe solve your problem with krug you've been yapping whole last season about
let alone you went lethality this season ... profane is better than axiom arc .... you need to fight solo without maiden to get her back .... while profane let you farm any camp easily without maiden ( AOE and active are sooooo OP and underrated )
yes i know you will say you dont want to clear fast and dont want to focus on clearing jungle .... and HP makes your pet do more damage ....i know your mind ..... and i put in my mind you are master last season ( if not grand master )
but ... i tell you what i felt comfortable with in my games .. i was effective in clear and fights and split pushing all at same time with profane > shojin > grudge > deadman plate .... some rare game i replace shojin for hullbreaker if my team ints and need to defend base ( hull is the best defensive item of all time.. second after tiamat tree )
i hope my experience give you some new ideas and let you climb higher this season .....you really improved alot these past few months in content wise also playstyle .... wish you all the best and a great day
