I've owned a few Chinese bikes over the years as a fan of the low capacity on a full license bikes. Never had engine trouble but have found the quality of the metals is where you suffer. Even kept in a shed and weather proofed it would rust and corrode when fair weather ridden. They just don't like moisture in the air. Settled on a classic 350 (after watching your videos) which is perfect no corrosion so far and watching Darcy and the ol man in India is likely to keep up with these adventure bikes off road
Regarding the ktm issues. My old school mate works for ktm dealer in the Midlands, from his words ktm are making unreliable bikes and are taking the hit on warranty repairs, my own experience I owed a 125 duke 21 model year for commuting to work. It cost £4.6k and it cost the ktm dealer £3.4k in warranty repairs over the 2 years I owned it... make a good reliable bike is the lesson to learn. Thank you Freddie
Someone who affords a Thruxton I'd guess could spend more than 500 or 250 for biking gear...I believe we should opt for more affordable bikes than gear. As for the GB350, I'm getting one myself as soon as it arrives! Love it! Cheers Freddie!

Don't forget the heated seat and center stand...the value seems insane!! I know there are questions around these new to UK Chinese brands from long term reliability, future parts availablity and labour working conditions, so I guess this is why the price is currently so tempting.

G'Day Freddie, Just got home from buying a new bike in Australia only to flick on this video and see your Bike of the Week which is exactly what I bought. As the owner of a Heritage Classic and a Z900RS I love retro looking bikes and the GB350 invokes exactly the same feeling and head turning as those. The performance is very different but when I get a good photo of the three bikes together I will email it to you. Agree with everything you said about the likely appeal of this bike (which has been available in Australia for a year now) in Europe and the UK when they arrive in March. Cheers.
If you are buying new, you would be surprised how easily dealers will cover the cost of the unlocked features when negotiating, that is, if you negotiating with an authorized KTM dealer. Throwing in the unlocked features with the purchase price is usually their first negotiating practice to get you to sign on the dotted line.
The Voge 900 is the biggest selling adv bike in Spain. My friend borrowed one from the importer for two weeks and he was well impressed. The depreciation on the BMW with all the spec of the Voge would be more than the purchase price of the Voge. Some of my friends with adv bikes are looking at buying these.
The Voge price currently includes the luggage too. Also Freddie you forgot to mention that it’s fitted with Brembo brakes. Will adventure bike buyers continue to buy BMW just for the badge?…..I wouldn’t !
I've seen plenty in Spain. The problem is parts supply, l ask every Chinese bike reviewer & can't get a straight answer, how bleedin lazy! It's simple, how long are the parts supplies guaranteed for? Nobody knows. It's great saving £3k over a Jap bike but not so good when your Chinese bike is 5 years old & stuck dead in the garage because you can't get a regular part. I've seen Chinese buyers burnt like this on the past s9 why should be any different this time if you can't get a part supply answer?

You can get lucky with used boots, trousers and jackets, as many people think they'll be into biking then realise they aren't and end up selling nearly new gear. But the helmet is a no no.
When shopping 2nd hand online line for riding gear is best to shop off-season. I purchased a full set of Gerbing heated gear head to toe for $150. Their new jacket is over $200.
You can usually get the bycity new for about £120 I'd you want it new. I've been using mine all summer and it's amazingly comfy but the vents aren't stuck on all that well. Just note there's no pinlock capability so it'll fog up in the cold.
Agree Freddie the V100 MotoGuzzi is an amazing looking bike. Stunning italian design, those wheels too, single sided swing arm shaft driven oh my! Price is so good too. Definitely time to grab an iconic design before these fade away. 👍
That´s how precisely Chinese companies will learn from its hoster ( ie. BMW and KTM ) and after learning the basics ( ie. engines - always the sould of the motorcycles- the rest you can buy from 3rd parties) and killing them in the marketplace aftwards, offering similar products with engine reliability for much much lower sticker prices .... That happened with KTM vs. CFM (using KTM engines) and now will happen to BMW vs. Vogue ..... The Western brands are killing themselves in trusting the chinese for production costs cutting and will die later on on this approach ......
Never trust the Chinese, bang on! Their outlook is the reverse of the Japanese who's aim is to sell you a quality product & hook a repeat customer. The Chinese will do anything to grab market share, regardless, you are not buying into history or a brand or even future parts supply! If a Zontes "something" proves to be a disaster then it'll be a another name "something" soon.....
23:34 but a 4 year warranty is only as good as the company which backs it up, so could there be an issue with the new bike warranty here, certainly it's a consideration 🤔
I do buy used helmets, but I would probably always recommend new even cheaper new ones as you just don't know the history of a helmet and I've been burned on that before. As for the jacket Merlins are great and good looking but at £100 defiantly some cheaper used and new options out there. I know its a bit more than that merlin but this weekend I was at the York outlet mall where I bought a brand new Belstaff sirocco waxed cotton for £175, and they had even cheaper options in the sale areas. I'd also reccomend the vinted app I've gotten some nice full armour jackets from there for dirt cheap before less than 20quid
Great vlog amazing that full outfit on budget. The point on the CF motors was valid with regards to the cam & oil pump. The only reason I can see why KTM didn't sort the issue was investment which the Chinese will do because they want to sell in volumes. Where as KTM lack of investment on their own issues would have dipped into shareholders profits and they were unfortunately short sighted as were the British manufacturers back in the day and we all know how that ended. For me the 2 biggest issues I have with chinese bikes is less importantly the resale value and more importantly the service intervals. I do find the cfmoto mt450 quite intriguing, but compared to a yamaha tenere the service intervals are just ridiculous. And you would have to keep up with them at the dealer for the 4 year warranty to stay intact.
@@sergentcolon1 I take your point but the people who pay the money for the premium brands are paying for the item to be manufactured in the country of origin with their appropriate skill. E.g. It's why the Chinese pay a premium for Scotch whisky and Burberry items. I wouldn't want my Ming vase made in Hemel Hempstead. You could say they're just paying for the badge, or are they paying for quality. Would you want your Bentley made in Guangdong?

@sergentcolon1 I think the difference there was that actually the Japanese bikes weren't sh*t at all, we were just trying to protect our own market as you'd expect. These days nobody cares where anything is made so long as it fits a price point, so is it any wonder we get crap metal quality, excessive rusting and shorter service intervals? It's simply false economics; buy cheap buy twice! These bikes are no Ming Dynasty treasures however much they're improved on, and what's more China is still stealing IPs because clearly totalitarians have a problem with creativity.
I’ve got a by city helmet, love it so I got there waxes cotton jacket summer version, loved it so much I got the winter version too. Spanish gear that’s really ok. I’m living on La. Gomera.
I think KTM are chopping the cost of VAT off their bikes in the UK at the moment. That may explain why the 790 Duke is £2K below RRP - most of that is from the manufacturer.
When will European manufacturers realise outsourcing their manufacturing to China is a mistake. My friend works for a Japanese engineering company, they won’t use Chinese cameras on site.
Too late I reckon, I recently bought a Braun (German?) coffee machine….made in China. Same with many other kitchen appliances, TV’s, mobile phones, vacuum cleaners…..etc. Even garlic cloves from Tesco are sourced from China !
love the look and price of the CF motos, just dont like the service intervals, way too short if you actually ride anywhere, and independent garages don't want to service them so service time is a bit of a PITA so i havent taken the plunge yet, but the 800 is a bike i like alot.
Hey Freddie, i visited in summer the Italian motorcycle museum in Rimini (i'm not joking it was a real bikeporn to be there) There was a barn with used bikes which are on sale, and a saw i bike what i can not rid out of my head. It was a motoguzzi centauro from 2002. The price was ok, low mileage. But i own 3 bikes, can buy more, my wife probably may kill me if i buy it, its an enigma.
Freddie, I am wondering if the ludicrous deals on KTM bikes will extend to the 390 line. From my understanding (as far as road bikes go) the RC390 and Duke 390 are selling well and do not contribute to the inventory backlog as much as its bigger counterparts. I would imagine that we would see a market where new KTMs that are 790 cc and bigger will be precipitously marked down with the 390 pricing staying consistent. This is anecdotal but my local KTM has 24 and 25 390s in stock but no other new KTMs.
Just an aside , here in Australia kids have unrestricted access to e bikes , increasingly the mini bike type with pedals and throttle only options …I was overtaken by a young teenager looking kid with no helmet , he was wearing thongs and shorts /t shirt ….this is the norm here in 2025 , I was on my 750 wearing summer Rev protective jacket , $600 helmet , Kevlar black jeans and rev it boots , I yelled at him to wear a helmet , he looked at me as I drew level with him and just smirked . The number of accidents involving e bikes and e scooters has escalated alarmingly yet no crackdown, on inexperienced unlicensed kids , and adults riding at speeds in excess of 60 km per hour ,riding with no helmets or riding protection . It’s almost like watching a twilight zone movie .

You might want to recheck where the world market Honda GB350 is made. I think you'll find the one selling in Europe, Aussie, NZ and the rest of the world is made in India NOT made in Japan as stated by your viewer Alex. That explains the price.
Hi Freddie, Not sure how we "know" that the KTM camshaft issue is not also a CFM issue. Same engine????? If so why would there be two versions? Or are they different engines? Or just people's opinions. Thanks
There's a guy who has posted a picture of the KTM and CFmoto engines, as one had coke put in the oil. There's a load of extras in the cylinder head. Bear in mind, the licence built engine has to be to the exact KTM standards. I would also add that Suzuki are missing a trick by not bringing back the tempter 😮
I'd like to see a few long term reviews from voge owners. I've had two gsa's ...they look rugged beasts but they're fragile princesses of bikes and costly very costly to repair. Wouldn't touch bmw bikes with a barge pole you're paying triple a prices for them but you're not getting triple a reliability
We stopped talking about 'value' years ago in favour of prices, prices, prices and cost to the environment. I've a feeling we're going to hard regret that decision in the coming years when we realise we've actually been buying Chinese ideology and slipping into a totalitarian wet dream. Freddie, while there may be some huge discounts on KTM’s at present what happens if they fail completely. These bikes are enormously tech heavy and if there is no longer a manufacturer to service the warranty or manufacture spares you might find yourself with an unusable bike with little to no resale value very quickly. Personally I wouldn’t go near one until it becomes clear what’s happening with the company.

My only worries living in the States is if there is enough dealer networks here for the Chinese bikes. Not a good bargain if no dealers or parts available. The midsized bikes seems to be a good size and they're affordable. Do you see a 600-750 Goldwing Touring bike as a future model. Check them a bit more carefully. Some of them aren’t actually dealers but a shed with a training outfit that will flog you to order only bikes, others only list one model in the entire range, and yet more don’t even list Voge as a brand on their website!
CF Moto has a dealer network with regional HQ and warehouses of parts in Plymouth MN. Zongshen partnered with California Scooter Company in Azuza CA; their warehouses are outside Tulsa OK. A smaller operation to be certain, but Lifan America is based in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. Baodao works with Venom Motorsports in DFW. Bashan had a distributor in Atlanta, but that seems to have failed.
Living in the US, your biggest worry now should be Trump and the tariffs he’s going to slap on imports which could lead to a trade war. This could make imports unavailable and prevent the dealership network expanding for any “foreign” bike.
The honda 350 will smash the Triumph 400 and Royal Enfield 350 in sales and if you change the suspension and tyres it could make a great scrambler . Even as a commuter its got Honda reliability built in. Si i think this will be probably the most popular bike in its class. Cheaper than a 125 even. Ya gotta love it. I want one.
Reviewers say the build quality isn’t anywhere near that of the Royal Enfield 350’s and the Triumph has more than twice the horsepower so will appeal to a different buyer. This isn’t a traditional Honda, it’s a cheapo built to a low price, designed to go up against the Royal Enfield’s in India where it’s called the H’ness and has been on sale for some time (without smashing RE). Of the three I’d take the Triumph personally, more expensive but in a different class.

Recommending a second hand helmet is a bit on the sketchy side mate. Sure, save some cash on the other stuff and go pre-owned but new helmet every time.
1. Buy a new helmet. God knows what may have happened to a "used" one. 2. Buy a helmet in a shop so that you try it on and get one that fits your head - perfectly.... A cheaper helmet that fits will do a better job than a very expensive one that does not fit. 3. Black may look cool but Kawasaki Green is the biz and doesn't look like it was bought primarily for being hi-viz. 4. Replace your helmets every few years and always scrap a helmet if it has been dropped or been in even a minor crash. Amen. P.S. Always wear gloves - most of us use our hands for all sorts of things and they are kinda important, don't you think!
Motorcycle gear for 250. Get a serious full-face helmet for 200 that fits perfectly, get a cheap tech-fabric jacket with protectors and let the dealer throw in some protective gloves, use your hiking boots and jeans and a kidneybelt, or hip protector of your sports. Better: used quality motorcycle leather jacket with protectors, used kidney belt.
Freddie, you're being a bit of a hypocrite. You go on about the freedom of biking, yet talk up all these Chinese brands, despite the well documented use of slave labour in their automotive industry.
Chinese are dominating the market with good quality bikes and products. CFMoto make fantastic bikes and have for years and the helmet from ByCity you found I believe is also Chinese, branded for the Spanish company. I bought one from Spain and when it arrived the shipping information said counrty of origin - China 😂 What isn't made there...
Regarding “entire motorcycle outfit for £250”……as usual your focus was “looking cool”; in realty a decent quality helmet alone costs way over £250 on its own !
Not buying Chinese (for a number of reasons), nor I'm I buying a BMW (over rated). I do think however, Chinese bikes will be commonplace on the roads just never in my garage. If you ever get chance to visit the Moto Guzzi factory - jump at it. Amazing!
Never ever buy a second hand helmet, I have bought loads or gear off ebay and seconds at the BMF Show back in the day, but I would never buy a second hand helmet
I know that I am in the minority, but I find any and all ADV bikes grossly ugly! I know that they are brilliant all-rounders, but one of the major reasons, in my opinion, for buying a bike is that you love the look of it! It is for that reason that I would never consider one
Luckily we’re all different or there’d only be one make and model of motorcycle available. No one is forcing anyone into buying any particular style of bike. I’ve owned a Suzuki Vstrom 1000xt and a RE Himalayan 411 and both were great bikes, I didn’t buy them to take off road. Both were great touring bikes (at different speeds 😁) and I enjoyed them both.
Once the Chinese bikes have proven their reliability they will take over uk’s most sold bike manufacturers.prices are ridiculous at the moment. Good luck Freddie 🍻
There in lies the problem. Nearly every long term owner review I watch on Chinese bikes reveals problems I’ve never had in forty years of Honda ownership.
I’m old enough to remember the introduction of Japanese bikes in the 60’s…..people talking about “Jap crap”….etc. The UK bike manufacturers were complacent and arrogant…….. and look what happened to them. Don’t make the same mistake with Chinese bikes!

We ran into this a couple of weeks ago on Freddie's channel and many comments about it. It's not a brand problem it's the state of the bike market. Many dealers aren't taking ANYTHING in part ex.
There's no doubt about it, the motorcycle industry is on its backside for many reasons but I can only repeat what the Yamaha dealer said and that was "we don't take KTM's in p/ex".
Very dodgy buying used bike boots , you can catch foot rot & all kinds of nasty foot infections from previous worn footwear. Same goes for used crash helmets , not a good idea . Also a few extra HP or the odd kilo in weight , is neither here or there , when it comes to everyday real life riding . It’s how the bike is & what it’s worth to the rider that counts .
@ Just because you have pushed your luck up until now & got away with it , doesn’t mean it can’t happen . The more you wear pre used shoes , to more you increase the odds of catching a foot fungus or infection .

Hi Dobsy, Voge, CF Moto. et al, I'm fearful for the future of the bike buying public in the UK. Change is coming at such a fast pace. Used bike values are already shredded, leaving customers who bought at pre reduced prices vexed, to say the least. Values of BMW 1250, BSA, KTM to name but three have already felt the effects of the steel fist, in a velvet glove, of the Chinese undercutting process.That, along with poor management. It could be that soon customers will lose complete confidence with buying a new european or even Japanese brand bike, although it seems Honda are retaliating with new to the UK market bikes such as the Hornet range and GB350. In short, the question is, with the Chinese revolution in producing value for money bikes, we could already be well and truly f #£%@ d, until all this peaks and levels out Just thinking out loud.. Keep it real, thank you for an entertaining half our.
The problem with Chinese bikes is honestly just the fact that they are complete copy cats. They do have the knowledge, experience and design blueprints from building other brands bikes but they still cannot create an original Chinese bike to save their sorry lives and we can all smell the blatantly copied, generic bikes from across the oceans. They just lack the know-how to create an original bike or car company from the ground up and we can all see it.
To start, I would NEVER buy a used Helmet. XLmoto often has a good starter kit with Kevlar Jeans and leather jacket for less than 100£. LS2 Or HJC helmets are pretty good and affordable. Leather Boots are not that expensive either.
The use not the same engines. They use the same engines designs. Noone other than CFmoto and KTM and their smart workshops know the difference. The issue is overhyped. They‘re both good bikes. The question is always, what dealer support you get with the new bike and with the bike 20yrs old. Check that, for KTM, CFmoto, …, Parts availability to bikes that change every single year, and that certain manufacturers give a damn about it, once the new is out. Triumph was clear to the early 1992-1995 customers that they needed them in the first years, and later once established started to reject warranty claims, charged for jobs not done, and clarified to the customer to get rid of their old sheit (3yrs old) and buy a new and shall stop expecting service with such old bike. Honda is the same in 2018. So no, the business gives a damn about their customers, all bikes unless they have a historic cult, do not deliver. So here‘s it, it makes no difference manufacturer to manufacturer with which you‘ll have to align on bad issues. It‘s always a replacement approach to a new bike, so, keep a realistic and helpful dealer, and give a damn on brands, but ride what you love, until it „glitches“ and by then sell it. Get a newer bike.

Freddie, some comments: 1. Used helmet? not a wise idea especially with the new European Helmets Safety Standard ECE-22-06. 2. Voge is a superb adventure bike and fully equiped. 3. KTM is overpriced and overated.
I read some of the comments on here and they remind me why I prefer my own company so much. Is there any actual evidence or stats that are available that specifically prove the number of fatalities, or serious injuries of people wearing used helmets in accidents? And what the fk happened to the biking community? I used to wear DM's, jeans and an MA1 Jacket with an old Arai my brother handed me down with an ancient pair of Lewis leathers gloves held together with super glue. There was no armour or kevlar. Nobody had thermal linings, and literally everything was second-hand. I thought it was guys who who had substance, individuality and personality that lived on the edge, and never wanted to fit in that rode bikes... Not a bunch of fanny merchants that look like something that fell out of a catalogue who whinge at every opportunity. What a lot of sterile boring mundane conformists bikers have become. You really are turning into cyclists with engines.
A Chinese knock-off 900 twin for 9K over priced, how about a 1000cc 4 cylinder muscle bike with 155 hp Brembo stylema front brakes and ohlins rear shocks for only a 1000 more . Honda's new 2025 ,CB1000 hornet SP.
When you buy a new bike, you have to remember you're buying into a relationship, with the manufacturer, dealer in terms of servicing, warranty and support. When you buy a Chinese bike you're not only helping to destroy the European bike industry you're also buying into the unknown. I've heard it said that they're so cheap it doesn't matter and you can throw it away - not exactly environmentally sound.

G'Day Freddie, Just got home from buying a new bike in Australia only to flick on this video and see your Bike of the Week which is exactly what I bought. As the owner of a Heritage Classic and a Z900RS I love retro looking bikes and the GB350 invokes exactly the same feeling and head turning as those. The performance is very different but when I get a good photo of the three bikes together I will email it to you. Agree with everything you said about the likely appeal of this bike (which has been available in Australia for a year now) in Europe and the UK when they arrive in March. Cheers.

If you are buying new, you would be surprised how easily dealers will cover the cost of the unlocked features when negotiating, that is, if you negotiating with an authorized KTM dealer. Throwing in the unlocked features with the purchase price is usually their first negotiating practice to get you to sign on the dotted line.

The Voge 900 is the biggest selling adv bike in Spain. My friend borrowed one from the importer for two weeks and he was well impressed. The depreciation on the BMW with all the spec of the Voge would be more than the purchase price of the Voge. Some of my friends with adv bikes are looking at buying these.

I've seen plenty in Spain. The problem is parts supply, l ask every Chinese bike reviewer & can't get a straight answer, how bleedin lazy! It's simple, how long are the parts supplies guaranteed for? Nobody knows. It's great saving £3k over a Jap bike but not so good when your Chinese bike is 5 years old & stuck dead in the garage because you can't get a regular part. I've seen Chinese buyers burnt like this on the past s9 why should be any different this time if you can't get a part supply answer?

You can get lucky with used boots, trousers and jackets, as many people think they'll be into biking then realise they aren't and end up selling nearly new gear.

When shopping 2nd hand online line for riding gear is best to shop off-season. I purchased a full set of Gerbing heated gear head to toe for $150. Their new jacket is over $200.
You can usually get the bycity new for about £120 I'd you want it new. I've been using mine all summer and it's amazingly comfy but the vents aren't stuck on all that well. Just note there's no pinlock capability so it'll fog up in the cold.
Agree Freddie the V100 MotoGuzzi is an amazing looking bike. Stunning italian design, those wheels too, single sided swing arm shaft driven oh my! Price is so good too. Definitely time to grab an iconic design before these fade away. 👍

That´s how precisely Chinese companies will learn from its hoster ( ie. BMW and KTM ) and after learning the basics ( ie. engines - always the sould of the motorcycles- the rest you can buy from 3rd parties) and killing them in the marketplace aftwards, offering similar products with engine reliability for much much lower sticker prices .... That happened with KTM vs. CFM (using KTM engines) and now will happen to BMW vs. Vogue ..... The Western brands are killing themselves in trusting the chinese for production costs cutting and will die later on on this approach ......
Never trust the Chinese, bang on! Their outlook is the reverse of the Japanese who's aim is to sell you a quality product & hook a repeat customer. The Chinese will do anything to grab market share, regardless, you are not buying into history or a brand or even future parts supply! If a Zontes "something" proves to be a disaster then it'll be a another name "something" soon.....

I do buy used helmets, but I would probably always recommend new even cheaper new ones as you just don't know the history of a helmet and I've been burned on that before. As for the jacket Merlins are great and good looking but at £100 defiantly some cheaper used and new options out there. I know its a bit more than that merlin but this weekend I was at the York outlet mall where I bought a brand new Belstaff sirocco waxed cotton for £175, and they had even cheaper options in the sale areas.
I'd also reccomend the vinted app I've gotten some nice full armour jackets from there for dirt cheap before less than 20quid
Great vlog amazing that full outfit on budget. The point on the CF motors was valid with regards to the cam & oil pump. The only reason I can see why KTM didn't sort the issue was investment which the Chinese will do because they want to sell in volumes. Where as KTM lack of investment on their own issues would have dipped into shareholders profits and they were unfortunately short sighted as were the British manufacturers back in the day and we all know how that ended. For me the 2 biggest issues I have with chinese bikes is less importantly the resale value and more importantly the service intervals. I do find the cfmoto mt450 quite intriguing, but compared to a yamaha tenere the service intervals are just ridiculous. And you would have to keep up with them at the dealer for the 4 year warranty to stay intact.

@@sergentcolon1 I take your point but the people who pay the money for the premium brands are paying for the item to be manufactured in the country of origin with their appropriate skill. E.g. It's why the Chinese pay a premium for Scotch whisky and Burberry items. I wouldn't want my Ming vase made in Hemel Hempstead. You could say they're just paying for the badge, or are they paying for quality. Would you want your Bentley made in Guangdong?

I think KTM are chopping the cost of VAT off their bikes in the UK at the moment. That may explain why the 790 Duke is £2K below RRP - most of that is from the manufacturer.
My mate just bought a stunning KTM 990 Supermoto from 2013, what a stunning bike it is. Shame what has happened to them since then.

Too late I reckon, I recently bought a Braun (German?) coffee machine….made in China. Same with many other kitchen appliances, TV’s, mobile phones, vacuum cleaners…..etc. Even garlic cloves from Tesco are sourced from China !

love the look and price of the CF motos, just dont like the service intervals, way too short if you actually ride anywhere, and independent garages don't want to service them so service time is a bit of a PITA so i havent taken the plunge yet, but the 800 is a bike i like alot.
Hey Freddie, i visited in summer the Italian motorcycle museum in Rimini (i'm not joking it was a real bikeporn to be there) There was a barn with used bikes which are on sale, and a saw i bike what i can not rid out of my head. It was a motoguzzi centauro from 2002. The price was ok, low mileage. But i own 3 bikes, can buy more, my wife probably may kill me if i buy it, its an enigma.

Freddie, I am wondering if the ludicrous deals on KTM bikes will extend to the 390 line. From my understanding (as far as road bikes go) the RC390 and Duke 390 are selling well and do not contribute to the inventory backlog as much as its bigger counterparts. I would imagine that we would see a market where new KTMs that are 790 cc and bigger will be precipitously marked down with the 390 pricing staying consistent. This is anecdotal but my local KTM has 24 and 25 390s in stock but no other new KTMs.

Just an aside , here in Australia kids have unrestricted access to e bikes , increasingly the mini bike type with pedals and throttle only options …I was overtaken by a young teenager looking kid with no helmet , he was wearing thongs and shorts /t shirt ….this is the norm here in 2025 , I was on my 750 wearing summer Rev protective jacket , $600 helmet , Kevlar black jeans and rev it boots , I yelled at him to wear a helmet , he looked at me as I drew level with him and just smirked .
The number of accidents involving e bikes and e scooters has escalated alarmingly yet no crackdown, on inexperienced unlicensed kids , and adults riding at speeds in excess of 60 km per hour ,riding with no helmets or riding protection .

You might want to recheck where the world market Honda GB350 is made. I think you'll find the one selling in Europe, Aussie, NZ and the rest of the world is made in India NOT made in Japan as stated by your viewer Alex. That explains the price.

There's a guy who has posted a picture of the KTM and CFmoto engines, as one had coke put in the oil. There's a load of extras in the cylinder head. Bear in mind, the licence built engine has to be to the exact KTM standards.
I would also add that Suzuki are missing a trick by not bringing back the tempter 😮

I'd like to see a few long term reviews from voge owners. I've had two gsa's ...they look rugged beasts but they're fragile princesses of bikes and costly very costly to repair. Wouldn't touch bmw bikes with a barge pole you're paying triple a prices for them but you're not getting triple a reliability
We stopped talking about 'value' years ago in favour of prices, prices, prices and cost to the environment. I've a feeling we're going to hard regret that decision in the coming years when we realise we've actually been buying Chinese ideology and slipping into a totalitarian wet dream. They do own the means of production after all, and diversity isn't a strength if it's only skin deep!

Freddie, while there may be some huge discounts on KTM’s at present what happens if they fail completely. These bikes are enormously tech heavy and if there is no longer a manufacturer to service the warranty or manufacture spares you might find yourself with an unusable bike with little to no resale value very quickly. Personally I wouldn’t go near one until it becomes clear what’s happening with the company.

Be careful as most secondhand gear has lost it's waterproof quality.
My only worries living in the States is if there is enough dealer networks here for the Chinese bikes. Not a good bargain if no dealers or parts available. The midsized bikes seems to be a good size and they're affordable. Do you see a 600-750 Goldwing Touring bike as a future model. This is probably the biggest concern now for potential customers of these bikes: dealer network and backup… but it’s coming!
I believe that in the UK at present there are around 25 dealers and the network is growing fast
Check them a bit more carefully. Some of them aren’t actually dealers but a shed with a training outfit that will flog you to order only bikes, others only list one model in the entire range, and yet more don’t even list Voge as a brand on their website!
CF Moto has a dealer network with regional HQ and warehouses of parts in Plymouth MN. Zongshen partnered with California Scooter Company in Azuza CA; their warehouses are outside Tulsa OK. A smaller operation to be certain, but Lifan America is based in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. Baodao works with Venom Motorsports in DFW. Bashan had a distributor in Atlanta, but that seems to have failed.
Living in the US, your biggest worry now should be Trump and the tariffs he’s going to slap on imports which could lead to a trade war. This could make imports unavailable and prevent the dealership network expanding for any “foreign” bike.
I believe Loncin also make the entire BMW scooter lineup, engine and bike/

The honda 350 will smash the Triumph 400 and Royal Enfield 350 in sales and if you change the suspension and tyres it could make a great scrambler . Even as a commuter its got Honda reliability built in. Si i think this will be probably the most popular bike in its class. Cheaper than a 125 even. Ya gotta love it. I want one.
Reviewers say the build quality isn’t anywhere near that of the Royal Enfield 350’s and the Triumph has more than twice the horsepower so will appeal to a different buyer. This isn’t a traditional Honda, it’s a cheapo built to a low price, designed to go up against the Royal Enfield’s in India where it’s called the H’ness and has been on sale for some time (without smashing RE). Of the three I’d take the Triumph personally, more expensive but in a different class.

Recommending a second hand helmet is a bit on the sketchy side mate.
Sure, save some cash on the other stuff and go pre-owned but new helmet every time.
1. Buy a new helmet. God knows what may have happened to a "used" one.
2. Buy a helmet in a shop so that you try it on and get one that fits your head - perfectly....
A cheaper helmet that fits will do a better job than a very expensive one that does not fit.
3. Black may look cool but Kawasaki Green is the biz and doesn't look like it was bought primarily for being hi-viz.
4. Replace your helmets every few years and always scrap a helmet if it has been dropped or been in even a minor crash.

P.S. Always wear gloves - most of us use our hands for all sorts of things and they are kinda important, don't you think!
Motorcycle gear for 250. Get a serious full-face helmet for 200 that fits perfectly, get a cheap tech-fabric jacket with protectors and let the dealer throw in some protective gloves, use your hiking boots and jeans and a kidneybelt, or hip protector of your sports. Better: used quality motorcycle leather jacket with protectors, used kidney belt.

CFMoto make fantastic bikes and have for years and the helmet from ByCity you found I believe is also Chinese, branded for the Spanish company. I bought one from Spain and when it arrived the shipping information said counrty of origin - China 😂 What isn't made there...

I know that I am in the minority, but I find any and all ADV bikes grossly ugly! I know that they are brilliant all-rounders, but one of the major reasons, in my opinion, for buying a bike is that you love the look of it! It is for that reason that I would never consider one

Luckily we’re all different or there’d only be one make and model of motorcycle available. No one is forcing anyone into buying any particular style of bike.
I’ve owned a Suzuki Vstrom 1000xt and a RE Himalayan 411 and both were great bikes, I didn’t buy them to take off road. Both were great touring bikes (at different speeds 😁) and I enjoyed them both.

We ran into this a couple of weeks ago on Freddie's channel and many comments about it. It's not a brand problem it's the state of the bike market. Many dealers aren't taking ANYTHING in part ex.
There's no doubt about it, the motorcycle industry is on its backside for many reasons but I can only repeat what the Yamaha dealer said and that was "we don't take KTM's in p/ex".
Very dodgy buying used bike boots , you can catch foot rot & all kinds of nasty foot infections from previous worn footwear. Same goes for used crash helmets , not a good idea . Also a few extra HP or the odd kilo in weight , is neither here or there , when it comes to everyday real life riding . It’s how the bike is & what it’s worth to the rider that counts .

Change is coming at such a fast pace.
Used bike values are already shredded, leaving customers who bought at pre reduced prices vexed, to say the least.
Values of BMW 1250, BSA, KTM to name but three have already felt the effects of the steel fist, in a velvet glove, of the Chinese undercutting process.That, along with poor management.
It could be that soon customers will lose complete confidence with buying a new european or even Japanese brand bike, although it seems Honda are retaliating with new to the UK market bikes such as the Hornet range and GB350.
In short, the question is, with the Chinese revolution in producing value for money bikes, we could already be well and truly f #£%@ d, until all this peaks and levels out

The problem with Chinese bikes is honestly just the fact that they are complete copy cats. They do have the knowledge, experience and design blueprints from building other brands bikes but they still cannot create an original Chinese bike to save their sorry lives and we can all smell the blatantly copied, generic bikes from across the oceans. They just lack the know-how to create an original bike or car company from the ground up and we can all see it.
The cf moto 450 is unique ? Surely the mt09 triple was to a fair degree a copy of the triumph triple engine ?
To start, I would NEVER buy a used Helmet. XLmoto often has a good starter kit with Kevlar Jeans and leather jacket for less than 100£. LS2 Or HJC helmets are pretty good and affordable. Leather Boots are not that expensive either.
The use not the same engines. They use the same engines designs. Noone other than CFmoto and KTM and their smart workshops know the difference. The issue is overhyped. They‘re both good bikes. The question is always, what dealer support you get with the new bike and with the bike 20yrs old. Check that, for KTM, CFmoto, …, Parts availability to bikes that change every single year, and that certain manufacturers give a damn about it, once the new is out. Triumph was clear to the early 1992-1995 customers that they needed them in the first years, and later once established started to reject warranty claims, charged for jobs not done, and clarified to the customer to get rid of their old sheit (3yrs old) and buy a new and shall stop expecting service with such old bike. Honda is the same in 2018. So no, the business gives a damn about their customers, all bikes unless they have a historic cult, do not deliver. So here‘s it, it makes no difference manufacturer to manufacturer with which you‘ll have to align on bad issues. It‘s always a replacement approach to a new bike, so, keep a realistic and helpful dealer, and give a damn on brands, but ride what you love, until it „glitches“ and by then sell it. Get a newer bike.
Freddie I don't wish to be pedantic, but pronunciation is pronounced with a 'nun' in the middle and not pro 'nounce' iation. I always think: of all the words in the dictionary to mispronounce! Great shows, keep up the good work!

Freddie, some comments: 1. Used helmet? not a wise idea especially with the new European Helmets Safety Standard ECE-22-06. 2. Voge is a superb adventure bike and fully equiped. 3. KTM is overpriced and overated.

I read some of the comments on here and they remind me why I prefer my own company so much. Is there any actual evidence or stats that are available that specifically prove the number of fatalities, or serious injuries of people wearing used helmets in accidents? And what the fk happened to the biking community? I used to wear DM's, jeans and an MA1 Jacket with an old Arai my brother handed me down with an ancient pair of Lewis leathers gloves held together with super glue. There was no armour or kevlar. Nobody had thermal linings, and literally everything was second-hand.
I thought it was guys who who had substance, individuality and personality that lived on the edge, and never wanted to fit in that rode bikes... Not a bunch of fanny merchants that look like something that fell out of a catalogue who whinge at every opportunity. What a lot of sterile boring mundane conformists bikers have become. You really are turning into cyclists with engines.

When you buy a new bike, you have to remember you're buying into a relationship, with the manufacturer, dealer in terms of servicing, warranty and support. When you buy a Chinese bike you're not only helping to destroy the European bike industry you're also buying into the unknown. I've heard it said that they're so cheap it doesn't matter and you can throw it away - not exactly environmentally sound.
