Trad Piobaireachd, Composer unknown.
Setting can be found in Kilberry, Piobaireachd Society Books and others
A mach Varaition optional
I used the Piobaireachd High G for this, wasn't sure if it would work on the smallpipes, but appears to be ok.
Couple wee fluffs, but what the hell!
C Nice for the Smallpipes the best sound !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lovely!
What a great sounding set up! Neil, I’m currently learning this setting… thoughts guidance on how to keep your upper hand relaxed as you get into the Crunluath? It was very rhythmical “5” count.. so impressive! Thanks for sharing!
Hi Leo, cheers. I tend to play quite a "big" crunluath, maybe even cautious. I deliberately lift my fingers quite high. Rodins and dorados too. Helps in outdoor comps when things are a little cold and it's easy to miss one
Ach Neil man, that is the most beautiful version of the Old Sword, that I have heard. Breath taking. Thanks for posting this .
Enjoyed that Neil.Thank you.
Very nice tune. Awesome playing.
Most inspirational . 🙏🏼🌹
My friend Neil is very melodic and strong in Scottish culture every day.
Just incredible.
Wonderful.
