I’m into my second week owning the new black Aquaracer 300 and I’m absolutely loving this watch. I was close to buying the previous model but the 38 hour power reserve plus 43mm case size put me off. Now with all the new upgrades and changes in the dimensions it has made all the difference in how this watch wears on my wrist and how it makes me feel in ownership of this Tag Heuer and I feel great! I’ve been keeping tabs on the timekeeping of this chronometer certification and it’s all within the tolerances given by Heuer. I really feel like of bought a premium watch with exceptional engineering and at £3300 I think they’ve price it just right.

this watch is not only gorgeous but the upgrades you get are excellent. It makes me want to resell last year's model aquaracer that I own.

I’ve always been a fan of Tag and still own an Aquaracer I bought in 2013. I really like the look of this…except the cyclops and it would wear better at 41. The face looks really sharp.

I had the previous version of this, and the on-the-fly bracelet is MUCH better than other brands. While they are not hidden under the clasp, they can be easily adjusted while it’s on wrist, so you don’t have to undo the clasp or take it off.

You are right. I own the black dial 43mm 2021 version. It is so nice to have. It honestly makes me not even want to look at other watches as I cant imagine not having the on-the-fly adjustment. Best design out there by far.
tried on the blue and black bicolored gmt last week and I was way more impressed than I expected. Might even pick up a Tag in the future!
Believe me, they will bring more colors.
Hi Brad, the pricing of these makes much more sense to me than the Breitling equivalents, frankly. As to the watches I really like them both: we have a TH AD locally so I should be able to try them on and see which I prefer.
Altogether though, I think that either of these represents a solid purchase which should keep their new owners grinning for years...

I have the previous one, the one the fly is great but the edges on the clasp are razor sharp!! wish they rounded it somehow, cut up my leg getting out of a pool.
Blue one...IF ONLY...would be Navy Color...would be PERFECT! its cool blue...but Navy its Perfection! Cheers
I believe the Batman GMT has a navy blue dial that’s darker than this blue one. That’s what time and rice said during their overview.

The GMT has a darker shade of blue and is much nicer in my opinion. The blue on the diver , depending on light has purple hues which I'm not a fan of.

Tried them on a few weeks back. IMO for price and specs market leading. May i add they are lookers dial is great.

That blue is stunning, and def think you could pull these off if you were so inclined. Not in the market to replace my old AR at the moment, but if I was these would definitely be in the running.

Seems like a solid offering. I'm guessing for the price, Longines would be a competitor. I think I would lean towards this Tag. Although, a pre-owned Tudor Black Bay (pick your flavor) would compete as well. Great review as usual Brad!

I always loved TAG, but $3800 for an Aquaracer is a little too rich. Granted even with a 30% discount, you are looking at $2700. The Montblanc Iced for about the same looks really good too.
I cannot fathom (rimshot) choosing an Aquaracer over a Seamaster.
I own two seamasters movement yes omega. Looks TH. Build equal. Price point TH.

Better yes. Far better hmm. Not sure about that. Have you seen it in person. I have. Again own two seamsters and a AT. Do love my Omegas.

The movement in the Aquaracer is designed by Tag and built by AMT SA.
The TH31-00 in the new aquaracer is an AMT sa movement designed by Tag Heuer and produced by Manufacture AMT SA a company owned by Selitta. They have a partnership with Tag Heuer. LVMH owns Tag Heuer.
Tudor and Brietling share movements made by Kenessi SA. The movements are designed by Tudor and Brietling and Norquain for their needs. Does Tudor make them. No. Do they design them. Yes. Are they considered in house. Yes.
Omega has all their movements made by ETA. All of them. ETA has a Omega division. They just make Omega movements. Are they produced by Omega. No. Designed by them. Yes. Are they in house. Yes. ETA is owned by the swatch group. So is Omega.
Rolex has Aegler Manufacturer SA make all their movements. Rolex owns a controlling stake in the company.
Rolex designs the movements and Aegler makes them. Are they made by Rolex. No. Does Rolex design them. Yes. Is it considered in house. Yes.
Tag Heuer has AMT Manufacture SA make their movements. AMT is owned by Selitta and designed by LVMH who also owns Tag Heuer. LVMH has a controlling stake in the company. Basically they funded most of it and Selitta runs it.
Tag Heuer designs the movements and AMT SA makes them.

I own a Aqua-Terra, Explorer, Over seas, Planet Ocean etc. I know good watches. I own a Carrera Chrono also. The fit and finish of my Carrera is not inferior to my other watches. Maybe my overseas. But my omaga and Rolex cannot compare to that either.
I stopped in tonight to look at a few Tags while I was waiting for the wife. Tried on a Carrera Chrono Glass box. Wow. I was blown away. Fit and finish a level above my own Chrono. On par with most of my other watches.
Tried on the watch in the video. Again. Blown away. Fit and finish has come along way. The design and fit and finish punches far above it's weight. Well worth $3800. I paid $3300 by buying the Glass box too.
In my opinion..so much so I bought one. I would never have bought one in the past.
The bezel is silky smooth with audable clicks and the crown is as smooth as any watch I own.
The Carrera Day and Day Date are getting the new in house calibres in November I was told by a company rep.
I cannot think of a better diver at this price point. Can you?
