The queen excluder is leave on during the warm months as it makes my inane too a quicker plus I like to keep my queens laying in the bottom brood box and not in the supers above. I do not know what you mean when you say “you are making sugar honey”. The sugar water I am feeding the bees is to get them through the dearth and so they can build up their stores for winter.
Why do you feed with a Queen Excluder on and a honey super above? You are making sugar honey

@@daisyshoney6021that is correct. The rest of the year any honey made and stored is for the bees, not to sell.
