When Jo said "He's so sad!" I wasn't looking at the screen and assumed he was talking about Jacob, not Kirby.
For future reference, most Abilities in the game can do multiple things, e.g. you can Sonic roll with Needle, make stick goo with jelly, or hold for super ground pound with stone
I'm so mad about how many berries alpha is jumping over, seemingly intentionally avoiding, or completely ignoring
edit: okay I've played it now and ngl, the movement has a skill curve

Some abilities have addotion uses by pressing R again pr holding it, like Jelly leaves behind gel to slow opponents, but the transformation shortens
