Very good and informative video. Perhaps consider eliminating the picture-in-picture box as it obstructed the view of some of the network topology graphics which I find particularly helpful trying to understand this stuff. Thanks.
That was perfect. Unlike what other people said, I really like the Picture in Picture view because I think it adds the personal touch? Like if it was lecturer to student? Thanks for the video!
great tutorial, have a question will this switch allow internet flow to DC01 and other host pc? also, will this hinder host pc to domain join with DC01?
What if instead you wanted to associate multiple VLANs or a range of VLANs into a Port group? How should i do? I need to assign several VLANs and not just one .... unless I set the 4095 which would be in trunk but I would like to avoid and only put the VLAN ids that interest me. Thank you.
how to on internet on my windows by creating vswitch you did not show us . how to use internet on each server or windows. The design you have given but not showing internet is on or not.
Can I have two (1Gig) NIC's on the ESXi server going to the same switch bonded as a 2 gig link? I don't want to do load balancing across it necessarily. - Does ESXi support etherchannel?
a bit confused; so for example; if my Host server (physical) has one NIC - what is the advantage of creating another virtual switch; I thought having multiple virtual switches would allow to separate traffic per network adapter; i.e. nic 1 - would have a virtual switch 1; nice 2 - would have a virtual switch 2.. so on...
Question, is this why I cannot connect the add another DC to my main Domain forest on ESXi? Everytime I attempt to add additional DC its an error finding the main Domain. Now when I ping IP it's a success but if ping the domain name it's not finding. So it may be a DNS issue?.. I'm new to ESXi so I'm gonna go back to the drawing board. 👍🏼
Excellent video thank you. I noticed when creating a new standard virtual switch that my Uplink 1 said vmnic1-Down instead of vmnic0 - Up, 1000 mbps. My vSwitch0 has that of course. Not sure if I am missing something in my setup. Note my server is collocated. Thanks!
Sorry - I am just seeing this now - A lot of the times the port numbers on the physical machine do not machine the port numbers that VMware assigns the NIC within ESXi, so you'd want to make sure that the NIC is in fact up.
Hi Alexander, how could i assign IP for LAB-DC01 for example? I assign it follow this tutorial "ua-cam.com/video/O9tVrODLcAU/v-deo.html" but can't ping to it? Maybe because virtual machine is under IP Exsi ? Please help me :((
Short, Sweet and to the point, i like!
Glad to hear!

Thanks! Will do - this was one of my earlier videos. I've spent some time re-designing how I shoot them, but always welcome input.

I would say without seeing it, it sounds like a DNS issue. DNS needs to be functional for a machine (regardless if it's DC or not) to join the domain.
Did you ever fix it? Doesn't make sense that it'd be a DNS issue if we just make our DNS what he told us in his other videos
@@BJAntonio46 Not sure, if I ever fixed it. I started working on another project.
do you have the whole course training somewhere like udemy or so?
Kindly tell how to add and complete configure a new vmkernel
