    Wow! Professeur, vous vous êtes dépassé une fois de plus. Pour faire honneur à votre enseignement, j’ai tout retranscrit à la main (donc, j’ai passé plusieurs heures avec votre vidéo) et le fait d’écrire nous aide à mieux mémoriser et comprendre. De plus, j’ai utilisé des stylos rouges et noir afin de mettre des éléments en évidence, comme vous savez si bien le faire. Je le répète, votre enseignement est vraiment spécial et unique; vous avez l’intelligence de toujours vous mettre à la place des débutants et le résultat que ça donne : c’est qu’on ne perd pas la concentration avec vous, étant donné qu’il n’y a pas un détail que vous oublié. Merci aussi pour la méthode que vous nous transmettez (Key points, Signal Word, Focus on) etc. J’en ai consulté des vidéos, mais personne ne peut vous égaler, vous êtes vraiment LE MEILLEUR à cause de la QUALITÉ DE VOTRE ENSEIGNEMENT=Comme déjà dit, vous êtes un GÉNIE! Vous faites bien de ne pas faire de PDF, il y a trop de travail là-dedans pour qu’on se serve de votre travail : on n’a qu’à revoir votre vidéo et la prise de notes est essentiel pour l’apprentissage. Merci de m’avoir envoyé le lien qui m’a permise d’étudier le Present Perfect et surtout de le comprendre, grâce à vous! Bye et bonne journée! 🇨🇦Linda

    • @englishspeaking360
      @englishspeaking360  Місяць тому +1

      I see... Many students have the same problem. The important thing is to work on one tense at a time and get lots of practice. For example, practice talking about your childhood memories and make sure you use the past tense in all of your sentences. For the present perfect, role-play a job interview and talk about your work experience. Also try to remember the 8 signal words I mention in the video. Those usually require the present perfect.
      I hope it helps!

    What's the difference between I went to the US or I have gone to the US

    • @englishspeaking360
      @englishspeaking360  2 місяці тому

      "I went to the US" refers to a past action that has been completed. It indicates that you traveled to the US at some point in the past and returned.
      "I've gone to the US" also indicates a past action, but with the addition of "have," it implies a connection to the present. It suggests that you traveled to the US at some unspecified time in the past, and the implication is that you're still there or that the action has some relevance to the present moment.

    • @englishspeaking360
      @englishspeaking360  2 місяці тому

      Hello dear admirer 🤩
      Actually, you cannot say "I have seen this movie in the morning." Because a time expression is included in your sentence, you have to use the simple past tense. "I saw this movie in the morning." If you want to use the present perfect, you can say "I have seen this movie before." In that case the focus is on the experience and not on when it happened.
      Does that make sense?

    • @deed2862
      @deed2862 2 місяці тому +1

      Thanks for your response. I have a doubt.
      Ex--- I have lived in Japan for 3 years.
      In this sentence past time has been mentioned. So why can't we use simple past in this sentence.

    • @jungsookkim7196
      @jungsookkim7196 2 місяці тому +1

      @@deed2862 I think you can use simple past in this sentence. 'I lived in Japan for 3 years.' that implies 'I don't live in Japan at the present time.' On the other hand, If you say, 'I have lived in Japan for 3 years.' it means 'Right now I have an experience of living in Japan for 3 years.' or 'I lived in Japan for 3 years and still continue to live in Japan right now.' The difference is that simple past tense focuses on the past event and present perfect focuses on the present result of that event. So same event, different angles of view.

    • @englishspeaking360

      I guess you could say that but... the word "already" is useless since the verb is at the past tense. "I tried dim sum last month" sounds more natural.

    • @englishspeaking360
      @englishspeaking360  2 місяці тому

      Congratulations on completing your post-graduation! Saying "I have completed my post-graduation" or "I have a post-graduate degree" would be more grammatically correct. As for what's better, it depends on the context. If you're discussing your education in a formal setting, saying "I have a post-graduate degree" might be more appropriate. However, in casual conversation, either phrase works fine.

    The past simple has a result as well 😵

    • @englishspeaking360
      @englishspeaking360  2 місяці тому

      Hmmm... you think so? Do you have any examples?
      The simple past typically describes actions or events that occurred at a specific point in the past without emphasizing their relevance to the present. In contrast, the present perfect often indicates a connection between a past action or event and the present moment, suggesting a result, consequence, or relevance to the current situation. So, while the simple past can sometimes imply a result in the present, it doesn't do so as explicitly or consistently as the present perfect tense.

    1)I went to the mall today.
    2)I have gone to the mall today.
    Is there any difference in these two sentences.

    • @englishspeaking360
      @englishspeaking360  2 місяці тому +1

      Yes, there is a difference between the two sentences:
      "I went to the mall today."
      This sentence is in the simple past tense. It indicates that the action of going to the mall occurred at a specific point in the past, which is today. However, there is no connection to the present moment.
      "I have gone to the mall today."
      This sentence is in the present perfect tense. It indicates that the action of going to the mall has some relevance to the present moment. It implies that the action was completed recently, and there might be some connection to the current situation or conversation.
      I hope this helps!

      @englishspeaking360  10 днів тому

      Yes, it's true that some languages are easier than others. However, most languages do have their own challenging aspects for learners. I can speak Japanese fluently, but reading it is a nightmare. Chinese, the way you present it, looks easy... however you forgot to mention the different tones that can easily change the meaning of each word.
      Languages are not easy and that's why we study them. It takes a truly superior intelligence and understanding to be able to master a foreign language and that's the beauty of it.
      Keep up the good work.
