Read speed in USB 3.0: About 380 mb/s and WRITE SPEED: 60 mb/s and the most important thing, STABLE SPEED in 60mb/s, it's nice!!!. Let's see how long it lasts, but it works perfectly. Really happy with this USB.
When Removing, before you remove the Drive, go into “This PC”, move the Cursor to “Samsung USB”, right click & click the button “eject.” Using the Eject can make you safely remove the USB without Issues..
Naythan Tanghal Thats great advice to share with everyone, thank you Naythan. It is important to prevent data corruption especially when how the write caching option is set. Thanks for your input 🙂
Josue Galan I don’t think it is too bad really and in comparison to others in the same price range it’s pretty good but yeah I couldn’t use it for large transfers myself, I feel your pain haha
@Itzu hi there. The Corsair GTX usb drive is great but I haven’t seen what else has been released recently, it maybe worth having a look. Yea, usb drives are great for transferring but I wouldn’t recommend for long term storage, use a HDD. If a HDD become faulty you can still usually save the data, this form of storage is cheaper also. Hope this helps
Samsung bar plus 32GB version read 226 MB/s write 35 MB/s. Other pendrive in the same usb port read 145 MB/s write 103 MB/s. CrystalDiskMark 7.0.0. My eyes bleeding. I only bought it because of metal case and hope for reliability. Slowly but surely ;)
Good job on your video, just found it now. I just bought the Samsung Bar Plus USB 3.1 64GB and thought I would share what speeds I got with the 64GB size. Is there a reason why in general USB Flash Drives write so slow? Some of them like this one can read very fast but writes slow, or is this a fast write speed for a USB Flash Drive? I have USB 3.1 Gen 1 on my computer. Speeds measured with CrystalDiskMark v8.0.4 Read: 305.22 MB/s Write: 35.22 MB/s
Hi Marlen. Apologies for not replying sooner. I hope you managed to get sorted with it. There could be a number of things preventing you from using it but unfortunately I have no experience in working on Macbooks. Sorry I'm unable to help you. Good luck with it :).
I bought one, the write speed is slower than my old USB 2 external hard disk. If you are looking for a backup solution with fast write speed buy a Samsung T5 SSD or PNY ELITE External SSD, it's mouth faster at nearly the same price.
Erik Leth hi. Thanks for watching. All computers are different and there are various settings you can change to make a write/read speed faster such as caching which means that you cannot just go off the speed of the device alone. In my video I have shown the test result which should be more than adequate to prove its speed to anyone. Thanks for your recommendations. All the best.
I have one from samsung, a flash drive it's tiny I use it for my Nvidia shield pro, 128 gig works great Its called Samsung fit plus it's tiny works very well!!
That works ok for small files and reading. Large files are painstakingly slow to copy, and it tends to get hot very quickly making it perform even worse. I have a few Samsung fits due to its size and mainly use it to stream my music or roms
I've used this drive sparingly but somehow managed to make it so windows or any computer wont recognize it and it just says there's a hardware problem. I'm now on Samsung's website trying to register it but it wont let me continue without the serial number of the device but there's not a serial printed on it like the site says. I don't have the box or anything anymore as its been a year now. any other way of finding it? My amazon order doesn't seem to show it.
You could install windows on it but after a while you may see slow down. If you want a drive for installing windows on, I would highly recommend the Corsair GTX which I have also done a review on. This video also explains why it would be best for a windows installation. :)
Fadic4 Hi. Thanks for your comment. The 32gb and 64gb drives are slower by 100mb/s for the read speed and so I’m sure the write speed will be affected too. It also depends on the files you are transferring. If you are transferring a mixed bag of large and small files then you will see a major decrease in performance. And last of all there is a setting you can change in Windows for the drive to make it faster however I wouldn’t recommend this as it increases the chances of data corruption on the drive. Hope this helps.
Iminto I’m transferring 10.7 GB of songs(mp3) from my laptop to my flash drive. I did read that the 64 GB is slower but should it be 25 MB/s slow? It starts at 60 MB/s initially, but that’s only for a fraction of a second then it immediately drops to 20ish MB/s and never goes past 25 MB/s. It has the same speed as my old Sandisk flash drive. I bought this Samsung one because I recently got a new laptop and it has a 3.1 gen 1 USB A port. I’ll probably just contact Samsung and see what’s up
@@Fadic4 Yes, it is probably correct as you are transferring many files at once (mp3s). Try for example to transfer one large file, you should notice the speed difference. Also, windows has write caching disabled as default, this is to protect the drive should the user pull the drive out whilst it is working which could in turn corrupt the data however if you are careful with it and never forget to manually eject your drives you can enable this in the control panel under the settings for your Samsung flash drive which will speed it up some what.

Can it run Linux natively with a write speed of at least 1 Megabyte a second? USB-Sticks of the cheap type can do only 50kB/s on a running Linux / Windows to Go. They lack the necessary IOPS.
Hi. I don't know to be honest, it would interesting to know especially after being tested from a while of use, but i don't see why not. However I wouldn't myself use a USB drive for an operating system without UASP and of course the more important TRIM commands anyway.

Can't write anything to it there too and no chance to delete it. So I will return it to Amazon now and will get my money back.
Hi. Sorry to hear that you have been having problems with one. The first thing I had in mind was that it was a fake Chinese copy you had there however as you purchased it from Amazon I very much doubt that to be the case however this isn't impossible. Secondly, many things can cause a device to stop working such as removing one from your PC/laptop whilst writing to it or simply removing it without using the ejecting procedure. This is especially important if you have write caching enabled. Thirdly, another thing could be the drivers for it. A simple reinstall or rollback of the drivers may have fixed it also. If none of these are the case then I'm afraid you was just unlucky on this occasion. After looking through all of the reviews there were only a few people out of thousands that had said it had stopped working and no doubt half of these were the people that unplugged them during a writing process. I do understand though that there may have been manufacturing flaws on the odd few that would deem them useless, as you find with most manufactured items on the market. Thanks for sharing this with us, every insight is valuable to my viewers and your comments help people see the bigger picture on an item, and so your input is very much appreciated. Take care.
Thanks for sharing this with us, its very helpful and a reminder for people that there are fakes out there. it is certainly buyer beware when purchasing anything and not just a USB flash drive. Maybe they have upgraded the smaller ones. They still only say up to 200 mbps in the Amazon description. The packaging on my 64GB drive said up to 300 mbps. I got 286 read when i tested it. The write speeds are brutal though, only about 36.

Thanks for all your support peeps in the form of watching my vids and subscribing to my channel and of course for all of your comments, it is much appreciated. For the moment I don't intend to create any more vids for this channel however I invite you all to come and see me perform live with my naughty puppet Dickie in my new endeavour - twitch.tv/vocalistchrislewis
Hope to see you there 🤟😁
