- This video was fun to make. It was quite the project to complete in two weeks! I am glad that it is done and we are not still in the early dirt stages. A few corrections: electrical conduit was used for the poles and it was 6 cubic yards of the utility sand, not 4 (3-5" deep). The heat did NOT help! The fan (NewAir AF-520B Outdoor Misting Fan) and our Easy Up were a total life savers!! Here is where we got it: bit.ly/2mR8KKV (FAN15 saves 15% off) . And I bought the easy up from a garage sale a few years ago. Next time we have a project like this, I was it to be in the spring or fall! Here are a few more links...

Wow you guys are amazing! Your boys are going to remember this for a lifetime. What a great thing..and they helped that's even better. So happy for you and your family. Have been following you for a long time. You and your boys deserve the world.
Unique idea!! And done so well... looks professional!
So fun for the boys (and mom and dad)
My dad made us one of these when we were young for my brother to practice baseball but I loved it too. He used this green mesh shade cloth stuff and it was so cool in there to play in when we lived in Florida
How cool is that! So proud of all of you! Great work! So fun!! I bet the boys love it!
How cool! Boys will enjoy that for many years to come!
Love this!! This is on our to do list as well in the near further 🤗
You go Momma!! This looks like an amazing investment in your family time😉😁
That is so awesome. Great job it looks so good!
That is awesome and looked great! Yalls hard work paid off!! Honestly looks like a professional did it. Your boys are lucky :)
So awesome! You guys did a great job!
I am jealous! We live in an apartment. I wish I had room to build one for my little ball player!
That’s amazing! If you don’t mind sharing, how much did a project like this cost??
Wow looks great!! You guys are such go getters!.
Wow you guys did a great job it looks outstanding it looks professional the rocks stand out pet caliber for me God bless
Holy Cow. That's a crap ton of work! Do those boys know how blessed they are?!?! Awesome job!
It was SO MUCH work. I am beyond glad that it is complete! ha
wow thats so cool! good job!
That is so cool 😎 good job guys!!!
Thanks!
That’s so cool! Beautiful job! I have an HOA where I love, and they would likely make me jump through a lot of hoops to be permitted to do that. Did you have to do that? Any tips?
wow looks great, I mean we have the space but I don't think we are that into any ball sport enough to attempt to do that yet. Although I do think that set up may stop birds from stealing the fruit of my trees if I built it with a smaller net.
Looks like a ton of work but turned out great!
Looks so awesome!! My guys would love this! What did you do to raise the area where the batter stands?
They just put 4- 2"x4"'s together with a plywood topper (4'x4') and then used scarp turf on top.
how does hoa feel about the height of your cage, and also how long was the hoa approval process for your cage??
What does the rest of the yard look like? This is nice!
Dirt, a deck and a trampoline lol
We are getting there... we have a grow box (had to take two out for the cage)
A putting green is up next
We were at the lake Saturday and my best friend’s black dog was laying in the sun with temps in the 90’s, and we were commenting on the same question. Why? She was hot to the touch when you tried to touch her. All the people were under the canopy in the shade. My black labs use to do the same thing when they were alive. It’s puzzling to all of us.
Right!! Its so strange! He comes in panting so hard... it's just WTF dude! You chose that!
My husband has been wanting to build one of these for the longest time! Could you give us a ballpark figure for what it cost you guys?!
Ball park figure, cement include, 3500-4000
Wow! Super beautiful. But how long it took total?!
Well a few days for the concrete (we didn't do that part), one day to clear the ground, 8 after work days and 5 solid full days (less frequent runs to the Home Depot lol (one day there were 3).
Do you get snow in your part of the country?
Yes!
Q: total cost ?
Gosh, we would have to really go back and look. We have bought random bits and pieces throughout the last few months. Maybe with the concrete, 3500-4000 (thats truly just a guess)
and that includes the dirt delivered, the balls, the new trees, etc.
