Just wanted to say I appreciate your work Mad Hatter's Reef, seen so many of your videos and they have really helped me get to where I'm at in my Marine aquarium keeping.
Relatively new to salt tanks. Having lots of success so far. Looking to start a predator/reef tank in the future. What is an "easiest" coral list to start with?
I love your videos dude. Great information. I was wondering if you mind italking about to keep zoo and fitoplancton in a marine aquarium without aditives. Greetings.
@@MadHattersReef also i got a Wyoming white clown and i have a ocelloris clown fish and they are both the same size and they look like they are mating but do you think they can fight? To the death???
I have just got my dream tank and I have got to go with marine, its 6x2x2 with a 4x1x1 sump, I want to keep clowns and tangs. What coral would be best?
Interesting, I got given a frag of a pagoda cup, it’s 4x the size In 4months, the only coral in my tank that’s truly thriving. I don’t directly feed my coral more than once a month, I keep my pagoda near the top of the aquarium with medium flow and all it’s doing is growing. Hope you have success with them in the future😃
@@nathanmoore7142 I dont really know about this one. But it seemd like a rather weak lamp. I had problems with my zoas as well using a 48w LED lighting. Try different places, starting with the top of your tank. Maybe they'll open up
The oldest coral in my tank is a turbinaria and it survived 2 crashes! LOL. Only that one and some zoas did! I lost the pectinia on second crash but it was doing great then i had a bunch of dying corals delivered that must have caused a crash from perhaps toxins they were producing or maybe rotting flesh caused an ammonia spike! Wish I knew then what I know now! LOL I think I could have prevented all those losses! I have revived several corals near death now that I have been reefing almost 4 years!
Got to take part in my first coral live show over the weekend with Top Shelf Aquatics . Found myself buying things I usually wouldn't because usually their to expensive or hard to find. That being said, I did go outside of my usual comfort zone but didn't get anything to crazy/difficult. I hoped your list would confirm that, I did get a pink goni and space invader pectinia, but hopefully good flow and some extra feeding will help me succeed where others have failed. I'll keep you posted
First off intro is fire second how does a reefkeeping channel grow I started mine with a focus on my 60g lps tank and it seems that not everyone watches 20+ fish videos a day (I know crazy right)
I had those yellow gorgonians. Looked beautiful for several months then died just like every other NPS coral I’ve tried in a mixed reef. If you travel these guys are tough to keep up with
Mad Hatter's Reef my yellow gorgonian gets mix food x2 a week and she openes up all the time day and night growing new branches. Its been only 8 months tho
Love the lists and channel man but for the love of everything holy, PLEASE stop repeating the name of the list when introducing the new thing on the list. It's like nails on a chalkboard and makes me want to drive a spork through my ear. I know I'm not the only one and trust me, it will improve these particular videos.

what's up dude. cool video. Goniopora is one of the most difficult mysteries to keep...I had one....lasted about a year.
Thank you for the advice
Best video ever!! Thanks

Do you think a ocean revive light would be good for my 32 gallon biocube?
I haven’t taken a look at that one yet?

Acros… I’m a stickhead.
Love the coral you showed
Pectinia seem real easy to keep. They call it space invader because of the tenticals, they get huge and will kill off most other corals around it
love your videos ! really helpful :)

Glad to hear it and thank you.
Great list help people stay away from these coral that are great looking but difficult to keep
Not impossible to keep but difficult.
Great vid. I tried the Goniopora Coral too, no go.
I have a few in the waterbox. We’ll see🙈
NPS. In particular, the Blueberry Gorg.
Great list!
Nice looking corals. I will stay away from them for now. Still have issues with zoa's. Doing good with mushrooms and leathers though.
What's wrong with the zoanthids?
@@MadHattersReef the colony I have is all closed up. They barely open when they do

Informational coral videos get hella views and from there you can do your own thing

Thats what most hobbyist say. They do great for awhile then just die.

All great corals but just need additional care.
@@MadHattersReef I'm sad #1 was a pectinia since I just got the space invader I've been wanting for a while. I'll definitely continue feeding
Can’t ever keep myself from watching these vids simply because of the intro harmonica lol
Same here, after all this time.
Not so interesting. No real facts.
