Hi everyone. Sorry about the lighting issues on this video. It was very frustrating to edit. We are in full swing with our first 21day challenge of the year. I am keeping it simple this week with meal prep so I don't over eat. Are you doing this with me? We can do this. This is the year of me, this is the year of us! 2023 is when we take it all back. Let's go!
Hi Joey and Tim! We are keeping it simple too. Oats for breakfast, salads for lunch, and an Indian rice/veggie dish I prepped Sunday for supper. And some extra steamed Brussels sprouts on a couple of meals because we are addicted! It’s been a great reset week
BEST BUY dates are NOT the same as EXPIRATION dates. It simply means that eating the food by that date you will get the optimal nutrition from the food. It doesn't mean the food should be tossed after that date if not used. Please educate and spread the word on this. It is one of the biggest reasons for food waste. Frozen and canned foods all use BEST BUY dates but last far longer than that date given.
It's Joey. No, I didnt buy it for him, but his mother got him a stand up double barrel composter thing for the yard that we have to assemble. We are going to show it for the upcoming gardening season episode. I told Tim about your comment last time and he loved it. I will tell him about this one also. Thanks so much for following and for being "Team Tim"! ;)
I've gone back to simple to get myself back in control again too. How long and at what temp do you air fry the sweet potatoes? Also, I really like Tim's new grater! Thanks for the video, Joey!
Ha! I will tell Tim you are onboard with the grater. I think its one thing too many in the kitchen. We cooked sweet potatoes at 400F for 30-40 mins depending on size. Large potatoes (not the ones we showed) can take an hour. It is GREAT to see a comment from you Laura. I hope you are well.
I'm doing better on vegan keto (bring on the nuts and tofu!-25 pounds down in 3 months) but still enjoy watching you guys. I'm thinking on ways I can de-carb some spring rolls...
Awesome prep. Did you poke the sweet potatoes as well and cook them for the same time? I checked back, but did not see any instructions. Greetings and well wishes from North Bay Ontario Canada.
Yes, Every time. I can't eat cold oats. I know thats how you are supposed to eat them when you do overnight oats, but I have to warm them up for 2 mins.

Looks great! Thank you❤
I find your videos so comforting, like I want to knock on your door and sit in your kitchen 😂🥰. I love when Tim is part of the show.
Susan, bring some wine!! HA!
Great video! Tim is a star - definitely need more “cooking with Tim” videos!
I love how you work together and are on the same page with your healthy diet.
I love how you demonstrate that simple recipes prepped ahead are the heart and soul of staying on track! Great ideas for approachable ideas! Thanks!
I am trying to get back to simple. I think sometimes we just complicate things, right? Thanks Mamma bear!
Ch-ch-ch-chia! Lol that was cute from behind the camera.
Kathy, I had sooo many of those things.
Is Tim running a laundry, I was distracted the reflection in your doors. Sorry, loved the vid x
this video is a good start for me, here

I'm so glad!
It looks delicious and simple.
Hey I love it simple!! Much easier to stick to! I don’t care much for ginger either, but I’ll put a little in mine to make Tim 😃 happy
HA! I will tell Tim that you are "Team Tim". HA! Thanks so much for watching and commenting Rebecca. We appreciate you.
I love the idea of putting the potatoes into the air fryer whole. I'll have to try it. Love the beard by the way😉
Thanks so much!
Thank you! Very easy and yummy looking- this is my year too! I’m determined!

Yes, I agree. I didn't throw it away, I used it. I think I showed people that it was fine.
Great video! Are you guys still loving your HexClad pan?
Tim still loves it.
YOU can do it JOEY
Tim did you get your Vitamix composter for Xmas? Vitamix, if you’re watching…

Lol! I’ll take a food processor for grating any day! Mine is super easy to clean!

Just leave out the noodles and it should be good.
@@PlantBasedDads you'd be surprised the carbs in those rice wrappers- but the seaweed wrappers could work. (I bought those, but havent made em yet)
No link for HexClad Wok, is it the 10” without lid. Thanks, good show.
I know I looked up the WOK, but must have forgotten to put it in the description. I just put it in there now. Here is the link: amzn.to/3iCFx6R

Hi Christine. I did not poke the sweet potatoes. I find that they lose their caramelization if I do that.
Expiry dates on bags are more just best to sell before dates, as long as they don't smell or look weird it's usually fine.
Wow! I miss potatoes and oats. Anyway, thanks for sharing.
This video is just what I needed. Thank you both
I’ve never heard of putting maple syrup in a stir fry!! Why??
I like the sweetness of it. You do you!
Joey do you heat up the oats in the morning?
Yes, Every time. I can't eat cold oats. I know thats how you are supposed to eat them when you do overnight oats, but I have to warm them up for 2 mins.
@@PlantBasedDads thanks Joey I'm with you on that one 😂 why I asked
