Celebrated my 18th Birthday at this show! Good times.
I drove from New Jersey to this show by myself.
OMG! Danced on a table in a breezeway, observed by security until they realized my 18 year old actualization prevented physical injury to others or myself. One of my favorite shows, EVER.

Killer shows, Fall '84 leading up to summer 85 was all great times...
Looking back at Fatman here it took him 4 years to get how he looks here.
6 years hence from here he'd be back and gone again twice, plus
Brent would be gone and we were off with Vince...

This was the first show I was ever pushed thru the doors from behind by gate crashers at. Also the first Scarlet Fire I ever saw. I remember leaving the show and we were all sort of spaced and not really ready to drive to the hotel. Like "Where do we go" A car in front of us had a drawing of Jerry taped in the back winndow and we all said "Follow Jerry" We tailed the car and it drove back to our hotel.
I was there and remember that! My first Dead show!

Thanks, this is great. For several reasons, one of my favorite GD experiences.
THANK YOU. Cant tell you how happy this makes me to be able to see this video. This was probably the tape that i wore out the most, and then the first to DL when the digital versions surfaced. Didn't see this show, but saw Hampton 86 and 87, and the Virginia crowds were always incredible. This was always my fav Scarlet-Fire, a hidden jewel in a much-maligned but incredibly deep year. The energy is fantastic -- listen to the crowd when Jerry kicks off the Scarlet solo (which i could probably transcribe from memory) or the Fire intro .. amazing. Thanks again, this is a very special Dead show to me. And man, forgot how good the Playin is ... sweet interplay throughout the jam, with Weir really leading the melody and rhythm, which is a bit rare, and you can feel the China Doll coming the whole way.. this Dead is on another level for me...
I'm absolutely loving this Scarlet too. The beauty of being a Deadhead is listening to seeming endless amounts of stuff you've never heard before. The boys have their heels dug in here, great energy! Special thanks to Brokedown House Productions. Take care Dave.
David Giles I loved 84 shows. it was the first year I toured & was able to get into almost 50 shows that year ( out of 80+).
totally under rated show , but the whole tour was smoke ! it was my first full on tour ..
