The HUGE problem with aluminium is: thermal conductivity. Great - unless you happen to be somewhere with lots of Sun, or cold. Of course the heat transfer problem is amplified if you use dark colours...
Those windows are cool. I prefer indoor cooking especially where bugs and mozzies are around in summer. Would prefer an outside table attached to the side.
Great summary Luke and the camera operator was not too bad either. Will be interesting to see the difference in thermal insulation between the old proven fibreglass panels and the new aluminium .
Hmm probably want insulator not conductor of heat?? Ie if aluminium panel heats up then your theory would suggest it will pass that heat well into the inside of the van??@@bushmagpie3312
I really like a lot of the features of the outdoor kitchen, but being 157cm tall, it looks like I'd need a platform to cook on the stove and a ladder to get anything out of the pantry! Would suggest a move to induction too for longer off grid. Although the dark colours look "tough" I'm tipping it's going to be roasting inside in the heat.
Thanks for your feedback on the Quantum. As part of the S5 design we reduced the kitchen height from the previous models but as this is an offroad trailer and requires good clearance underneath(making the body naturally higher) it is hard to get the kitchen height down anymore without sacrificing the storage drawer underneath which is such a great feature we are hesitant to delete. In saying this, the airbag suspension option does a great job of been able to reduce the suspension height therefore naturally lowering the kitchen height if needed which in turn will also assist with accessing the built in wall pantry. We are starting to look at induction cooking externally but the issue here is that the trailer is based on cooking outside which inturn means you will use this 2-3 times a day which then can impact your battery power quickly especially when the weather is not great and therefore you are not getting any power back into the system as induction cooktops draw a lot of power to operate. Although gas is now regarded as ‘old school’ this still operates off a separate fuel source to battery power which is still appealing been that battery power is one of thee most important things you need when living off the grid which is what our trailers are designed for.
nice van.. question, when the kitchen is fully deployed and you have accessories plugged into the power sockets, is there any interference from the slide or do you need to remove the cords? The slide looks very close to the side of the van
Thanks for your comment. For clothing you would use the 3 big drawers at the back of the trailer along with the 3 drawers under the bed which for most people is sufficient for all clothing and towels etc needed. You also have the open section underneath the bottom drawer at the back of the trailer for shoes to tuck away in. As our trailers are a narrow body which is key for offroad ability when going down tight tracks this does limit our internal space so it may seem less than what wider trailers offer but this is the sacrifice we make to allow the capabilities our trailers offer. In regard to induction cooking, this could be done if desired. We have set the electrical system up to handle an induction cooktop which most of our customers take with them portably and use it inside if they do not want to cook outside on occasions. We have not yet found that many people want to delete the external gas cooktop so at present we are sticking with this as the standard, but as outlined this could be deleted if you wanted to run off induction.
nice trailer. seems odd listening to a Yorkshire twang advertising Aussie trailers. That outdoor kitchen needs a redesign, most of it is unusable, nice features but unusable. something to think about for Quantum 5.5

Wow that's a very impressive camper, however I don't like the lack of space above your head in bed. I can see myself hitting my head and you wouldn't be able to sit up in bed. Thanks for the vid
So when you start cooking, you can't get anything out of those top drawers ? 🤔
Isn't is great to listen to someone who knows his product backwards and sideways . Well done
Looks like the pantry might be hard to reach when the kitchen is out. You should have demonstrated that.
Would like to see a quick 360 view of everything.
Then go back and detail the benefits. 3 and half minutes could have been a photograph + audio.
That kitchen design is pure genius.
Great tour, very well done
what a neat Camper Trailer... good ob Guys
Nice presentation well explained

I want the Falcon!

❤Aluminium is a great conductor of heat, most electronics use alum heat sinks.

Looks great AOR
Projeto top! Gostei muito!
Drawers are useless if you are cooking
Nice work AOR ✌️✌️✌️

Nice hybrid- question would the gas cooker location create heat on the fridge, being so close to it🤔?
Hi! There isn't any issue with heat on the fridge 👍
No storage inside, where do you put your clothes? Stereos never used them, love to see all gas cooking go and use induction. Can it be optioned?
Thanks for your comment.

Do these vans come in white? Black seems to be the worst colour for Australian summer conditions...
The standard colour is Dove Grey
Excellent
Are any of these modernizations going to flow onto the Matrix Pop Top?
Hi Brian, there will eventually be a Series 5 Matrix however we don't have any timelines as yet. Thanks so much.
Similar to a previous question, are any of these changes being incorporated into the Full Height Q?
Hi Peter, there will eventually be upgrades to the Quantum Full Height but we don't have any timeframes at this stage. Thanks so much!
Where's that northern accent from?
nice trailer.

Hard to understand, we need an Aussie to translate it
The cameraman is being useless, 😢 he's literally showing you, instead of the trailer
Too heavy and too expensive.

You can rig this up with a bunk above each seat in the lounge and a bigger bunk above the queen size bed.
Wow that's a very impressive camper, however I don't like the lack of space above your head in bed. I can see myself hitting my head and you wouldn't be able to sit up in bed.
