Nice review on what looks like a great camper. I’ve been doing my research as I’m planning on purchase and only real negative people have is the price. However I’m a bit confused because it’s competitors (Rhino, complete campsite, mountain trail etc) are all similar prices🤔 I know you can get cheaper imports from China, but I just do t think they compare or are suitable to take bush.
This has got to be the best outdoor kitchen on the market.
Hard to understand, we need an Aussie to translate it
When are the bigger models coming here?
What material is that lid gasket made from?
Hahn Brooks
Give me your company contact information to buy and install on my Odyssey van please
Can you adjust the temperature of the cabin air?
Can you fit an 18 on the quantum ?
Hi! Yes we can
Where's that northern accent from?
The cameraman is being useless, 😢 he's literally showing you, instead of the trailer
Hi Luke you sound like your from Manchester campers.
can i buy in the states ,, if not can you ship to the states.
Complicated solution. And complexity adds cost. Like how you deal with tables.
No storage inside, where do you put your clothes? Stereos never used them, love to see all gas cooking go and use induction. Can it be optioned?
Thanks for your comment. For clothing you would use the 3 big drawers at the back of the trailer along with the 3 drawers under the bed which for most people is sufficient for all clothing and towels etc needed. You also have the open section underneath the bottom drawer at the back of the trailer for shoes to tuck away in. As our trailers are a narrow body which is key for offroad ability when going down tight tracks this does limit our internal space so it may seem less than what wider trailers offer but this is the sacrifice we make to allow the capabilities our trailers offer. In regard to induction cooking, this could be done if desired. We have set the electrical system up to handle an induction cooktop which most of our customers take with them portably and use it inside if they do not want to cook outside on occasions. We have not yet found that many people want to delete the external gas cooktop so at present we are sticking with this as the standard, but as outlined this could be deleted if you wanted to run off induction.
where do you empty the toilet waste tank?
Luke can you describe what measures are taken to ensure water cannot get into the battery compartment eg. when doing a long river crossing?
Thanks for your comment. We are doing this the same way we do our gas bottle compartment which we do not have issues with and have been doing this for many years. We are running the hose towards the rear of the trailer which prevents scooping water in. This hose comes up into the box and is then roughly 40mm higher than the floor which is already around 600mm off the ground. If you are moving through water we do not see you having any issues, we just do not advise stopping in water higher than 600mm if possible. We cannot fit valves or covers to this hose as it would impact the venting aspect so we have done everything we can to comply with the regulations with as little impact as possible on our trailer’s performance.

Just want to say Luke and team... really appreciate you doing these types of vids, as well as the vids walking viewers through your various vans. I've sold my old camper trailer and looking to upgrade.... it's this type of customer service/consideration (as well as being Aussie made) that keeps me coming back to AOR as my next upgrade. Keep the vids coming. Cheers 🍻
Our new builds meet the latest battery regulations. Any older trailers that after November 2023 have changes to their charging systems must comply with the new standard battery and solar requirements. We can't disclose the standards publicly due it is copyrighted material licensed to SAI global caravan industry association of Australia.
pass ty
The dust cover for the door vent is just begging to be turned into a step. It's already there might as well use it instead of removing and storing it somewhere. Just my thoughts.
Was thinking the exact same thing
Does it matter what material the box is constructed off … perspex lid for a visual inspection ?
Like the post thank you. You mentioned that this toilet is a high.. I reckon the height is a plus for some people. Cheers
What is the ‘problem’ that the new legislation addresses? Can you share a link to the legislation?
The new legislation is the AS/NZS 3001.2 electrical installations- connectable electrical installations and supply arrangements. Unfortunately we cannot send a link to the standards as this is for manufacturers only. It is copyrighted material licensed to SAI global caravan industry association of Australia (they have stated that distribution, storage or use on a network is prohibited). Hope this helps!
Note, this new regulations are not retrospective but these fault-containment design features are very important and people should consider ways to upgrade their existing lithium battery installations on any make or model of camper or caravan.
I take it this applies to only new vans, older vans dont require a retro fit??
Yes that is correct, new builds only
That's not 100% correct. It apply to new builds and old setups that have been modified after the regulation date
@@DIY12-24v which I can't see being possible to police for DIY installers provided your van has a pre Nov 23 build date. Imagine insurance companies might end up adding a clause to place burden of proof on the owner of older systems to show when the install was done.
absolute best bike rack made.
Having a side slide out toilet shower like on the BRS pursuit is a much better solution
I really like a lot of the features of the outdoor kitchen, but being 157cm tall, it looks like I'd need a platform to cook on the stove and a ladder to get anything out of the pantry! Would suggest a move to induction too for longer off grid. Although the dark colours look "tough" I'm tipping it's going to be roasting inside in the heat.
Thanks for your feedback on the Quantum. As part of the S5 design we reduced the kitchen height from the previous models but as this is an offroad trailer and requires good clearance underneath(making the body naturally higher) it is hard to get the kitchen height down anymore without sacrificing the storage drawer underneath which is such a great feature we are hesitant to delete. In saying this, the airbag suspension option does a great job of been able to reduce the suspension height therefore naturally lowering the kitchen height if needed which in turn will also assist with accessing the built in wall pantry. We are starting to look at induction cooking externally but the issue here is that the trailer is based on cooking outside which inturn means you will use this 2-3 times a day which then can impact your battery power quickly especially when the weather is not great and therefore you are not getting any power back into the system as induction cooktops draw a lot of power to operate. Although gas is now regarded as ‘old school’ this still operates off a separate fuel source to battery power which is still appealing been that battery power is one of thee most important things you need when living off the grid which is what our trailers are designed for.
100 K you have to be joking 😂.
You are joking right??
Hi Luke, that looks very innovative, all AOR need to do now is get away from the manual lift roof on all their designed trailers As owners of a Odyssey it is its biggest bug bear.. it is So old school to have to manually lift a pop top trailer nowadays.. Most other manufacturers have automated the roof. Please put some thought into it.
also still no lights in the ceiling
Manual lift just works, and always will. Electric actuators are no good if you don't have power!
@@keithpennicuik8673 mate, that’s like saying cars are no good without fuel, very naive imho.
@@davtreloar9236 running out of power when off grid is a lot more likely, you can easily accidentally do it. Can’t even close electric actuators to drive without power, let alone the failure rate on the actuators themselves. Besides the fact that you can open the manual roof in about 3 seconds instead of a full minute plus for an actuator to do its thing.
Just because ya changing over to a diesel hot water system you still carnt block up the vents in the van because they still probably running a gas cook top stove and oven be careful what you say guys
Love the look are they assembling these in Australia where are they manufactured please 🎉
Manufactured at our purpose built factory on the Sunshine Coast, QLD 🙂
Do these vans come in white? Black seems to be the worst colour for Australian summer conditions...
The standard colour is Dove Grey
nice trailer. seems odd listening to a Yorkshire twang advertising Aussie trailers. That outdoor kitchen needs a redesign, most of it is unusable, nice features but unusable. something to think about for Quantum 5.5
Thanks Graeme, did you post the FAQs somewhere? Any chance you could kindly provide a link? Perhaps they could be uploaded to the Facebook ground or the AOR forum? Thanks
was hoping for so much more ! customer testimonial
Can 16" rims be used (assuming adequate load rating) or are there clearance issues over the drum brake? I want to run 265/75/16 tyres (803 mm diameter) to match vehicle tyre size.
Hi! Yes you can fit 16" wheels and tyres so long as they meet the minimum load requirements, we don't supply 16” as an option but you could supply them at the correct specifications we require. Hope this helps, thank you!
Hopefully not 240v 😊
excellent review Trent
This is a great initiative, good video to break it down
You have shown and described the new jockey wheel bracket for its intended purpose. That is really informative but I got you to fit this bracket to my Sinergi last year for the sole purpose of attaching a BBQ arm to it, and I think it would have been really beneficial for future customers, to actually show this BBQ ARM demonstrated in the jockey wheel bracket. I have found it invaluable. Maybe prospective clients will too.
We have a MPT with Fighter Jet Grey Armor wrap on the lower half and I have found about 6 little razor cuts in the wrap. What do you recommend to seal these cuts?
Hi Brian, we would recommend filling the cuts with Steel Grey Trex - if you'd like to speak with anyone to get more information please let us know!
Can I have it wrapped in green to match the wrap on my ute
Would like to see a quick 360 view of everything. Then go back and detail the benefits. 3 and half minutes could have been a photograph + audio.
What height is the roof being lifted?
Hi! It's approx 600mm higher. 2330mm packed down and 2930mm with the roof popped up. Hope that helps!
Is there a recommendation on whether to unhitch the trailer before or after inflation?
Pretty complex
Pretty sure these are made in the Netherlands not Germany.
