      I don't know about socialism, but I read that Communism is choosing on the side of class antagonism wherever it exists.
      Hasan makes money from breaking down conservative and reactionary arguments.
      Hasan spends that money on a lavish lifestyle, in a fashion that many people say is hypocritical. "You don't really deserve that much money. At least a CEO doesn't lie when he says that he only cares about the almighty dollar bill."
      Hasan responds by saying, "Then put a system in place that redistributes the wealth of both the CEO and me, even if it is against my will. I certainly will not be giving this money back."
      EVERYONE that is upset with Hasan, or considers him to be a hypocrtie, needs to understand that they're all hypocrites. They all are. Every UA-camr, every CEO, and every televangelist, and every journalist making money by talking about how Jullian Assange is an enemy of the state. They ALL need to be defanged. They ALL need to be cut down to size.

    Always found it weird that the slogan is “tax the rich” and not “help the poor”

    • @haruhirogrimgar6047
      @haruhirogrimgar6047 3 роки тому +6

      Not even necessarily envy. But definitely contempt.
      Tax the Rich is part of the policy one is suggesting to help the poor. Advocating to help the poor very easily could just mean pressuring rich people into engaging with philanthropic ventures. When that doesn't address the problem in the same way taxing them would.
      I assume a lot of the people calling to tax the rich don't actually want to go through the effort or face the reprocussions that comes with being multi-millionaires or billionaires. It is more that a small group having such a dispraportionate amount of wealth is frustrating from a compassionate standpoint. It is that philosophy that leads to people calling for things like wealth caps and redistributive measures, not a feeling of envy.

    • @Stan844
      @Stan844 3 роки тому +8

      How is that weird at all? It absolutely goes without saying that 'tax the rich' is a slogan against income inequality. Tattooer here, im a first year and i suck so you can take what im saying w a grain of salt XD but to address kyosan specifically in this particular issue, In my experience so far, for the most part tattoo shops really are run very loosely like a co-op. Say youre an owner that opens a studio and you hire 5 artists and theyre all level 80 scabwizards so these guys are fuckin sick. Even tho they work at the shop owners building they are self employed, for the most part, to some extent they have the freedom to choose their own hours, the kind of work they choose to take on, the tools they use, the stats they buff and so on. However the quality of work each artist does, the quality of experience each artist provides reflects upon everyone else @ the shop. So theres also a collective incentive for each artist to do well, as well as collective standards set by the shop owner everyone makes a little bit of sacrifice/does their part to contribute to the success of the business ie. Cleaning the shop and chipping in for supplies that are typically provided for like paper towels stencil paper printer paper and so on, now a shop can delegate all those things to a front desk employee or a shop apprentice. But thats something that the whole crew has to come together to have a conversation about to determine the exact mechanisms by which their system will operate. That just works best and gets the best results out of everyone involved, and im lucky to get to do this daily, it has its hardships but i genuinely want for everyone to have this kind of freedom of expression and just having their voices heard at their workplace fr fr. And lastly because capitalism and stuff here is me shamelessly plugging my IG do give ya boi a follow and like please XD @Bubblemantattoos

      That's a great example of where that works because there is a parity between what you put in, and what you get out. It's also a good comparison to Destiny's example. The issue with applying that to broader society like many socialists want is that many workers cannot change what they put into their work. Like an average factory worker is more likely than not going to work every day in a year, and not be able to alter their work. So even if the company is making more money it's not in parity with what the factory worker did since their work didn't change. There might be some other ways of dealing with that like a company providing education opportunities for workers, but that's not what socialists want. They literally want factory workers on assembly lines to get paid by how much money is getting made regardless of what sort of work the worker does. Until this sort of disparity between worker output, and earnings gets resolved I don't see leftists getting much headway.

There is a difference between an individual who personally holds a belief in any particular ideology and an individual who is actively promoting the ideal and encouraging other to believe it (especially if that generates an income). The boulder analogy doesn't work at all. People who don't want to fund certain programs (Even existing programs) are forced into lifting the boulder. There is no consent to lifting outside of a several times removed form of consent ... In which if don't want to live in a remote jungle somewhere, you have to pay for the insane never ending expenditures others want using everyone else's money. Whilst actively trying to pay less themselves. That is hypocritical.
      A better analogy would be all going to a restaurant. Lefties order extra wine and expensive goodies for the table, then when the bill comes, it's split among people who may have only ordered a starter. If lefties are going to advocate for a larger bill, they should be paying for what they order. That goes for right winger that are pro military industrial complex and large government expenditures.

      Everyone goes to a restaurant where everyone agrees to put in a reasonable amount they can afford for people to order what ever they want from the menu, the restaurant collects the money and puts the nights menu together. People like the Aussie lie about how much they can put in while complaining lobster tails are an off menu item and pretending they added to the tip pile.

      Replaymyway Replaymyway how would that only apply to new programs? so you’re telling me that if i think a pre-established program needs more money to work properly, i would be hypocritical for not throwing my money at it, EVEN THOUGH my money alone will never be enough to accomplish that goal? The same problem exists in both scenarios, my money alone will not accomplish a social program, whether it be brand new or already in place. The point is that you shouldn’t condemn a person for avoiding things that will hurt them personally, if them getting hurt wouldn’t even further their goal. it’s the whole policy vs. individual action thing that destiny has covered multiple times. The reason hasan could be condemned is because he’s in a unique position to push POLICY change because of the power he has and the influence he wields, yet he does nothing but talk on twitch all day, and gets paid very very well for doing it.

(training/study/work/longterm over instant gratification/planing/efficiency/educated/dont smoke/be social etc.) I had experiences on adhd meds that in a super short time everyone likes me my voice changes, my motivation changes, my diszipline changes but only in very spesific dosage (Experience as a child ~11 years old, so i was not relly different because of the behaviour i choose but pretty raw. Think abou the problems in the world and how they cant be simply explained by free choise but a complex biological mechanism. I think of humans as very complex machine lerning algorythms that had simple start in ebiogenesis as self replicating molecules. That can explain everything even selfless behaviour. You controll parts of your body but other parts your locked out, as a example: you can controll ur breathing but you can’t control ur heartbeat or if you laught at a bad joke or if bad food tastes amazing or if amazing food tastes bad. How much pain u feel, how much motivation, what you like and dislike (of course some humans have more of an ability to steer emotions (PFC executive function), but that seems dependent on spesific levels of dopamine and noradrenaline.
    Free will vs determinism. The richest and most motivated people decide right now and why would they say what they did is something other than there greatness rather than a complex interplay including protentially unequal genetic lottery. (I dont know where exactly the lines are) But this issue i believe lyes at the bottom of 90% of the problems of the 21 century right now its a shadow issue and its not popular so dont talk about it too much but keep it in the back of your mind and investigate maybe a bit or see how it may evolve some solutions for some philosophical and political challenges! 😇👍🏼

      Its a bit like when you would try to explain weather, physics, biology, or any other modern mainstream concept to a Person 500-1000 years ago or a cavemen. I imagine there is so much missing context (mainly in neuroscience, experiments, knowledge about people who feel very little pain or more pain, rat experiments where all the dopamine receptors are blocked, even human data of a failed diet drug that blocked dopamine receptors… etc. anyway why not start discussing some of those fundamental data in ur stream maybe as a „react to youtube video of person who feels no pain or has a pain illness and is hypersensitive to pain, person who takes dopamine blocker usw usw). Disagree with this take. Firstly, we have THE most experienced chief health officer Dr Young who has advised four premiers through six different pandemics. Her expertise has helped immensely and Premier Palaszczuk has been wise to listen to her every step of the way. We were very quick to respond as well, locking down our borders and isolating ourselves from pandemic hotspots south of the border (plus enforcing mandatory mask wearing). It is precisely because of great leadership that we have managed to completely avoid dealing with surging cases, deaths, etc.

    • @the33rdwalrus

      @@faitht347 I don’t buy that all. There have been so many cases that have be found in Queensland and all of them have come to nothing (I don’t know the exact number because it’s happened so many times now, but I would guess more than 10). Northern NSW (not just Byron but surrounding areas like Lismore) has had a few cases pop up as well but just like in Queensland nothing has come from it. Both areas have similar climates, and because of their climates the building generally have better ventilation and people generally spend more time outside. Both of those help reduce the spread of covid and both would have been the case regardless of the CHO. Contrast that with the ACT, Victoria and NZ, which have colder climates, which all locked down immediately but covid still got out of control. I’m sure Queensland’s public health response has been fine, but they’re or exceptional, they’re just geographically well situated.

      @@andrewbazar3302 I agree that in hindsight, NSW should have acted quicker, but I’m not convinced that it wouldn’t have gotten out of control anyway just because of how infectious delta is. I don’t think there were two different outbreaks in Victoria, I think they just thought they’d crushed the initial one but it hadn’t actually gone away (they only had one day of zero cases, and I don’t know about back then but Victoria has consistently had lower testing numbers until very recently). I know of the removalists and the family that left their home when they shouldn’t have, but I don’t know if other confirmed incursions (although I’m sure that more happened later on when it was already too late for them to make a difference anyway); either way, the fact that Victoria’s immediate lockdown didn’t crush it makes me think that NSW locking down immediately would have just delayed cases rather than preventing them.

Lastly, ANYONE can make the blanket statement "go join a union, vote for socialists in your area, ect..." What my initial comment was about was the idea of comparing Hasan's influence to that of MLK. MLK did not make blanket commands to his followers about general actions. He strategically targeted specific places that helped him achieve his goal. He mobilized in Birmingham and DC and other places for specific reasons. Hasan can't just say "vote for the leftist near you" because the working class inherently does not have enough time to even find out who the leftist is near them or how their limited time is best used to actually make headway in the "socialist revolution". It's about changing what is in someone's best interest, not about not acting in your own best interest.
    Basically, I don't see it as some moral failing if someone doesn't pay someone a fair wage, I see it as a societal failing that they can get away with it because of fucking course they would if they could.

    You don't have to know the exact details of a problem to fix it. If your graphics card dies, you don't have to know what exactly on the graphics card failed. You just replace it. Likewise, you can fix being out of tune with regular maintenance of your instrument, part of which is tuning. People accidently fix problems they don't know about all the time. Steven's argument is nonsense.

      How would you know that your graphic card dies if you don't have the necessary knowledge to open your pc and check. Less technological literate people would go to a store to get it fixed and the workers tell them what's the problem. How would you replace a graphics card if you don't know where it is, what it is and how to fix it without the details. How would you maintain your instrument without knowing where to tune? You need the exact knowledge. People do accidently fix problems but that's the very few minority, stop discrediting Steven's argument with outliers.

    • @aleczitzelberger8123
      @aleczitzelberger8123 3 роки тому +1

      @@chrectorB you can know the card is the issue based on a general understanding of what kind of things signal your card might be going bad. You don’t have to fully understand the problem, just the abstract.
      Science does this all the time with Newtonian laws, that don’t fully describe the universe, but do so well enough.

    • @chrectorB
      @chrectorB 3 роки тому

      @@aleczitzelberger8123 yes but you need to knowledge on what is wrong with your pc before you can fix it. Take an average of pc users and tell them if they know how to fix their graphics card and replace them. Using the abstract knowledge of a graphics card doesn't help when the person doesn't know the technicality. You need to know the compatibility with PSU, Motherboard and CPU, RAM, the right socket, etc. It's not the matter of general understanding compared to the knowledge of our solar system. While we learn moon phases at a young age, we don't learn how to fix a graphics card or even what it is.
      The point about how we don't need to understand the Newtonian law is wrong. While the law doesn't tell us anything about why it happens. Theories on the other hand does. That's the difference of theories and laws. One example of this is gravity, there is Newton's Law of Universal Gravitation( how strong the gravitational pull) and Einstein's Theory of General Relativity(explains why things fall). That's why laws rarely change, theories change a lot as new evidence is found.

    Why does Destiny hate Kulinski? What did he do?

    • @haruhirogrimgar6047
      @haruhirogrimgar6047 3 роки тому +10

      Kulinski says a lot of really dumb sh"t. His foreign policy takes are often terrible. His stance on free speech and opposing appealing through intersectional analysis, etc is horrendeous. Kyle's instigatory political prescriptions (force the vote, progressives need to block dem policies, etc) are sabotage to the progressive movement. And Kyle's story about his father & M4A is *extremely* dumb in Destiny's opinion (more specifically that his father was refusing to seek treatment in general and according to Kyle would have opposed socialied healthcare as well.)

    • @Molecular-Brainwaves-Translate
      @Molecular-Brainwaves-Translate 3 роки тому +1

      My biggest qualm with Kulinski is how he doesn't like Bill Maher, except in a few cases. Kulinski was right when he said that Bill Maher disregarded Muslim issues (this sentiment was even more evident by Maher's support for Israel). In this example, Kulinski's criticism is justified. But he doesn't do Maher any justice when ignoring everything else that Maher talks about. Maher talked a lot about how Republicans want a civil war, and how Trump galvanizes them to think this way. Maher illuminates a lot of important issues for liberals and normies, and I think Kulinski obfuscates that by only focusing on the bad stuff. I would trust Destiny to give Maher a fairer shake.

    • @MusaMansu

      @@haruhirogrimgar6047 Sure. He says some dumb stuff. His foreign policy position is overall correct IMO (that America should get involved in less wars). I think he gets there in a really dumb way, but he’s better than a neocon or a neoliberals Warhawk. He’s a supporter of free speech. So am I tbh. His ideas on how to bring about progressive change are horribly ineffective. I agree there. But there seems to be some personal animus with Kyle and from what I saw, he was always very friendly with Destiny. That’s why I’m wondering.

      @@MusaMansu Well the reasons I listed are the reasons I have heard Destiny give. Any time Kyle Kulinski gets brought up in relation to foreign politics, healthcare, or political obstructionism Destiny almost has an aneurysm.
      And Kyle's position on free speech are dumb AF. Following his philosophy there can be no such thing as hate speech or censoring of materials. Germany outlawed a sh"t ton of Nazi imagery and positive representation of said nazi's and what-do-ya-know, they have less issues with nazism than america does with Confederacy loyalists. We should have f"cking banned Confederate flags & imagery and made it illegal to glorify the dipsh"ts fighting to own people as slaves. But in Kyle's view that is an absolute non-starter because the concept of free speech is more important to him than the outcomes of it.
      Unless people are in academic settings there are things that just lead people to really sh"tty places and thought processes.
