This organ has a lovely decorative pipe top (not shown) and it will soon be moved to its home in an historic house in Hannibal Missouri.
This is a slide show of the restoration of this unrestorable reed organ. Sound is this organ after it was restored.
This came with foot bellows removed, but they were not successful in getting it to play with an electric motor so it came never being heard for decades. Once inside we found extensive mouse damage. If the organ had not been a pipe top model of Clough and Warren it would have been tossed out. This fine organ brand is very desirable by collectors and pipe top organs are always in very high demand. The owner will display and play it in his historic home in Mark Twain's home town, Hannibal Missouri where Mark Twain;s organ resides in the Mark Twain Museum.
(We have moved Mark Twain's huge Orchestrelle player reed organ twice now and hope to someday be able to restore it as it has not worked in years.)

Bravo to you for having the patience to restore one that bad off. OMG, the hours it must have taken. I got a Clough and Warren yesterday and thankfully the bellows are nice and tight. (Walnut w/Eastlake influence so probably circa 1879.) There are some other issues I will be tackling but am thrilled that I found a Reed Organ with Qualifying Tubes. Worst of all is when the reed cells seperate from the soundboard. That was my introduction to my 1st Melodian back in the 80's. But, I did it.

Thanks. Too short, though. What amazing attention to detail must have been needed on this job.

Well, 3 months later and I am STILL not finished with my C+W. (It is not "fixer-friendly" and the way the Grand Knee Swell lifters were made to work was a nightmare of bad design.) Still however, a magnificent organ and now in tune at A450. Octave Coupler rebuild just completed but not installed. So, what I thought would take a month, is to take 5! OMG, but what you had to deal with. The patience of JOB! Remarkable and TG you saved it from the dump. This company was about the best of all!

The completed organ is what made the soundtrack for this slide show. The original video from which the soundtrack was taken is here youtu.
