Great info. Just a point to note. Neither fluid filled tired or wheel weights take weight off the front axle. Only ballast behind the rear axle does that. Great video!
Pat's quick hitch is the way to go a lot better than a quick hitch. With pats, you don't have to worry about your attachments being quick hitch compatible
Nice video. How about a place for a small gas tank for the chain saw? An idea for what tools to carry for the tractor would be nice. Exactly the sockets, pliers, allen wrenches, spare fittings - "O" rings, just specific things to your tractor/chain saw. Not the whole kitchen sink Tools that are to be always kept with the tractor. New to your channel and I enjoy your content.
#1 Upgrade is always the hydraulic Top & Tilt setup! These cylinders & #2 Upgrade Quick Hooks on the lower arms make getting anything on the 3-point hitch fast. The main purpose of the Top & Tilt is the ability to really be able to carry a grade and fine grade.
I watched Piney Grove Homestead’s challenge video that called you out and you delivered pretty quickly 👍 I agree with everything you mentioned. The only thing you could have added was you Artillian ROPS mounted tool storage system as another option. Great job and it’s fun to watch different content providers working together and growing the community as a whole.
Am thinking pto quick connect hydraulic top link 3 point quick connect I absolutely agree with tool box and chainsaw and may be a chain compartment and bucket hooks
The PTO quick connects combined with a quick hitch seem like an ideal combination. But the prices of the various PTO quick connect systems are insane. I bought a SpeeCo QH for $355 and free shipping (yeah, we all know that's rolled into the price of the product). A PTOLink SD is $390 BEFORE shipping! That's nuts. So I have a QH, but I'm still connecting PTOs the old fashioned way :)
The three point quick hitch was a game changer for me and my subcompact Massie. Much easier to install the box blade. My KingKutter tiller was not quick hitch compatible but a couple of hours thinking about it, $50 in parts, and an hour of labor later and it now works with my quick hitch. The PTO shaft installation still sux.
Summit has been around long enough now that they are making true third functions for the the major brands. However, you can get their diverter kit as well. Also, Pats Easy change can take the place of a 3 point quick hitch. We have an old Kubota that isnt quick hitch compatible, rhe Pats works great.
This harkens back to the old show "This Old House" with Bob Villa - it demonstrated some impressive handicraft, but it was basically a platform for advertising some very expensive tools. Back may years I had a hobby of fixing, maintaining and sailing an old boat that I had bought. I found this old book on tips for how to get this type of work done - a mix of know-how and ingenuity (and a little bit crazy) - the author was an old guy, who had been at it for sometime and had learned to get by with what he had or could come by cheap (i lost track of the book). Anyway, the guy showed (to get you a sense), how he made a table saw from an old peachbasket and a hand-held circular saw - cut-out in basket bottom and remove the blade guard and a wood plate to secure the saw (by it's base onto the basket bottom. Anyway, I have learned to be careful what you buy - all that stuff ends-up own you, takes all your time and money to keep it all looking good and working. So I was thinking about getting a sued compact tractor to mess around (garden actually) on my small property, but then I realised that several of my neighbors have very impressive tractors and I am pretty sure they are willing to do jobs here and there for the right price.
Brock, nice content and I agree with your list. I didn’t see the link to the ITC quick attach. I will look them up on the internet. Do you happen to know if this would work on my Kubota? I have a LX2610 HSDC so it has a cab. Keep up the great work. Really enjoy your work!
It’s been a while, and I had a friend do it, so I don’t remember all the details. We did film it so you can check that out in this video if you want: Custom Brush Guard and Chain Hooks on a 2038R ua-cam.com/video/pvtfUPt3Ca8/v-deo.html
To me you missed a real important one, a quick change front bucket (ssqa or jdqa). I don't have a 3 point quick attach so much mine is pat's quick change just for the lower arms. I have old 3 point attachments so it wouldn't really help me.

Thanks for meeting the challenge, Brock! Tractor Hard! 🚜💪!

Your video is what to buy before you even operate it. All very time saving and practical items. Good video
Great video Brock! Great to share information and use YT to lift the tide. 😁👍🏼👊🏼

Good stuff. I own an old ford without a loader. Wondering If I could attach that chainsaw holder to it.
As always a good video. Thank you.

Was it easy to form the expanded metal brush guard? What thickness metal did you use? Is the brush guard attached to the JD hood guard?

@@RockhillfarmYT Ok thanks!
Can you please make a video of the Massimo Motor Booth at Equip Exposition 2023?

Quick attach bucket is a must, but almost all new tractors have that now
These are all great points, but I don't understand why they don't put a brush guard on a tractor to start with, considering how much they cost.
Exactly
@@RockhillfarmYT It's like buying a new pickup and having to pay extra for a grille!
