I bought it a few weeks ago. Needs some tlc but has good bones. I can do pretty much anything mechanical but not body work. Car has tiny issues as Nick addressed in the video. Runs "ok" doesn't have a cam it has a miss for sure. Its 26 degrees outside though so it's parked for now next to our 3 Camaro Z/28's. This is an attention getter for sure and is my cruiser car to go get ice cream and just unwind. We're just going to drive it and enjoy it. Maple Motors was incredibly easy to deal with and we got the car quickly.
Thank you
There is no miss.
@@joshualand5467 Cars are different when a company sells them to someone, sometimes they take out a few things.
yea it's missing,knocking even.
Car looks beautiful! Any plans to sell?
Was 1976, just turned 16 and just got my license and this was supposed to be my car, had the old man’s approval and then mom found out and that was it. Never forgot that ride, always my favorite Mustang. Never owned one, ended up being a truck guy (Ford), still love the muscles though, ended up owning a F150 (2002) Lighting, supercharged 5.4 V8, Red & Black, still going strong, my everyday ride 🤠❤️🤙🏼🇺🇸❤️🤠
Why did your mom have to be so lame?
Why did she stop your Dad? That would have been awesome.
I live in U.K. and a dealer like this would just be a complete dream over here , one of my friends has been dealing in American cars for over thirty years and now personally owns 17 mainly 60s 70 s I have owned a 72 Torino ram air and a 76 Trans Am the price of 60s early 70s American cars over here is a total joke, I wish I had moved to USA years ago I still can’t believe I’ve never visited I adore everything American !
Brings back memories .I had a 71 fastback when I was in my twenties
my buddy just inherited this exact car after is fathers passing his father was the original owner w/less than 30,000 original miles always garaged only driven on summer days in Oregon ( not many)
I’m on my 2nd 1973 mach1 I had one in my early 20s and totaled it. I loved that car and was sick over its loss. When I was 61 I finally replaced it with # 2 . I’ve just replaced my front suspension because it was making the same noise that this one makes when hitting a bump. All I needed to replace was the coil spring seats. But I replaced the whole front suspension. Now it’s nice and quiet when going over bumps and it brings back a lot of memories.
71-73 are my dream years ! I would prefer a standard, doesn’t matter doubt I will ever have one. They are HAED to find and I should use the $ for other things.
Nice this guy is willing to point out the flaws in these cars Most people try to cover up
Always like the look of that year Mach and they're still reasonably priced.
I give seven thousand
@@lacywheeler5091 find a clean 71-73 Mach 1 or under $15k. Go ahead
@@lacywheeler5091 Good luck with that lmao, they go around 20k
Was the 10 yo there? The one operating the drone camera? In a wheelchair?
351C, great engine. Great car. When a Mustang was a real Mustang.
Yea, they fell off in the late 70s...didn't come back to the mid 80s with the foxbodys gts...made another decent run till the early 2000s and fell off again...great comeback now the cobra supersnake, and the darkhorse! Most powerful non Shelby mustang ever built!
I remember the first time I ever saw one of these up close, I think it was around 1972 and I was in the 5th grade and a girl's parent dropped her off in front of the school and I was standing right beside it. I thought that car was so cool. The years I like most with these were the 69-70.
I owned one. 429 chromed. Cragers. Had to sell in 91. Want another one. I love my fastback.
429 was a boss or cobra I thought..not a Mach 1
I was a kid when this version came out, and my neighbor across the street had one in silver with black trim. It was jacked up in the back with super wide wheels. To a seven year old it left an impression. Looking back, that was one long F'er wasn't it, there's enough room between the radiator and the front grill to install a hot tub or a small condominium.
Beautiful Mach 1!
I had one like this back in 1977 green, so gourgeus and stunning, also 351 cleveland engine automatic ac powerstering and powervindovs, change the sparkplugs and you have a rocket, thanks Nick keep cool 😎
Rocket..... about a 165 HP rocket unless you have the HO motor which is about 100 HP more. So watch out for ballistic Camry's waiting at the stoplight to dust your doors! Nothing from 73 was fast unless you built it yourself
@@GenX...MCMLXV True. Nice looking but a dog for sure.
My dad bought this exact car when I was a little tike, but with 4 speed. Way faster ride when new. LOL. Of course, he put wide 5 spoke cragars on right away. Love the channel and the lot!!!
Cant wait to purchase a Chevelle off y'all in the near future. Keep up the good work. Ill make the drive from Canada for your quality
I had a gold and black 1973 Mach 1 with a 351 Cleveland 2V. I wish I had taken better care of it. I sold it in 1980 and got a VW Rabbit due to gas prices doubling over a short period time.
That car actually had the correct (and Impossible to find) "captive" motor mounts that were Mustang/Cougar specific for 1973 ONLY.
Great looking car, I had a buddy that had one it was blue with black stripes, it would pass everything but a gas station ⛽😂
I'M A CHEVROLET MAN....BUT I'LL NEVER FORGET THAT I LEARN TO DRIVE AT THE AGE OF 13 YEARS OLD ON A 1971 FORD MACH 1 STICK SHIFT
Not a Ford guy but this mach 1 is a beauty
Dang, nice Mustang! Orange feels a bit strange, cause I rather do yellow. Good looking muscle, though!
Brings back some good memories, had a powder blue with silver stripes 71 351C Ram Air Mach 1
Wish my law suit money was in. Nice car. Always wanted one.
Love the color 😍
$20 no longer moves the needle at current prices
Fix the horn and interior lights you’ll add 5 horsepower each
Yes sir I have locked the keys in the trunk! It was at the Motley Crue concert a long time ago in Mobile Alabama! Lol
O no lol
Most beautiful car in the world...
Worth every penny 😎🇺🇸
Good Morning My Good Little Bro Nick Southgate Sir Of Maple Motors
Back to the Future
What if a 1973 ford mustang would would like as a Time Machine?
Im a Mopar/Charger guy but this is a good price for Ford...sweet
Woah! I'm in this video at 25:02 talking to the dude with the Corvette. I caught him in one of my videos when I was in my Humvee.
Ayy what up
Nice Mach 1... in my opinion that color scheme for that year mustang is perfect 👍🍺 always did liked it.
Cool car, you don't see these at every car show. 👍
I would offer $13, 000. I would spend $2,000 to $2,500 at Maaco for an entire clear coat paint job, repair all the gasket leaks, replace broken or missing cables, replace burnt out bulbs, upgrade the ignition system, flowmaster two chamber Delta flow mufflers, replace C6 or FMX 3 speed transmission with an aod transmission, stainless steel braided brake line hoses, advance ignition timing, strut Tower brace, k member brace, subframe connectors, 3:55 gears, then call it good enough for me to drive weekly all year round.
A Maaco paint job for a car I cared about???... Not a chance...
@@lonmcq7317 I understand your point of view. Maaco is suppose to guarantee and warranty their work so they should fix mistakes. Also, after Maaco finishes you can take the car to an excellent experienced professional auto detailer so they can make a $1,500 pain job look like a $5,000 paint job by buffing, polishing, and ceramic coating for a few hundred dollars more. You can do most of the sanding and prepping the car for paint. Just a way of saving a few thousand dollars on a car that is not that rare, original, and expensive compared to some others. If it was a rare, highly sought after, and all numbers matching car then it would be a different plan.
Omg a Maaco paint job lol. Dude a legit paint job on a classic car by a shop that truly cares about their work is minimum $10,000. Closer to $15,000 for the best materials. I fixed all of the bulbs. Took me 20 minutes. Simply unplugged all of them, cleaned them up and put them back in.
@@bigjoelster I would not spend $15,000 for paint on a $15,000 semi-common car in low demand. A fully restored 1971-1973 Mach 1 with a lot of options and in excellent condition is only worth approximately $35K. A good experienced professional detailer can make a $2,000 paint job look like a $6,000+ paint job for a few hundred dollars. If the car was rare, in high demand, and worth a lot more then I would buy the best.
Man I really dig this 73 Mustang those were the hottest cars ever made to me
ive always love these like the body style
Had one of these back in the day, but red with the black trim. Same motor.
Oh yes, that is the car I will choose for sure from your shop... thank you for the video.
Thank you
bought a 73 grande with a rebuilt 25k miles on it couldnt be happier
Ugh...grandes were the suck soft version of that bodystyle...Mach 1 or 429 cobra...OR NO MUSTANG!
More then a fair price
Nice car. The underneath looked like there is some oil leaking issues
Prolly is some too
Definitely leaking from the front of the rear differential.
Love the orange on the Mach I
thats one beautiful Mach 1 and awesome price too
Front bumper should be body-colored.
Very cool, always liked that body style! 😉
Good looking 73 sounds great
Normal speed, sounds cammed, but slowed down when the car passes over the camera ( great idea, BTW. I've subscribed and liked just for that undercarriage shot ), you can definitely hear the miss. Nice car on outside, inside needs a little TLC.
Another beautiful muscle car I love it
I agree Simon!
Bout the best looking 73 I've seen lately. HATE IT! lol but it looks good!
Beautiful Mach 1 would definitely drive it love my Stangs 🔥🔥🔥😁
Well that’s my dream car right there!
I have a 71 grande with 4 bolt main custom Cleveland, would NEVER SELL IT!
I need this, I had a 70 same color
Old high school memories
Love mustangs
Beautiful car, it has a miss in it.
My first car was a 73 mustang. That fmx transmission is garbage. Pron to popping out of park due to a week parking poll assembly. C4 or c6 is a better choice behind the Cleveland. Last year of the mouse as far as im concerned
Damn I searched 1973 Mach 1 and this popped up. I am from Hendersonville and I was surprised to see maple motors haha I thought it was a different one one of my best friends uncle works there. They have some of the nicest old cars I have ever seen.
Yes is the car I have been looking for awesome car beautiful color and duel exist nice ride show car
Not bad needs a little love , will make someone a nice driver
Nice 👍 I love mach 1s❤️
Was good price lots of potential
OH - & by the way, MY 1st car was a brand-new 1972 SS396 Camaro. It was
black. That's why I say too bad it's orange --- AND, lots of these 'back in the
day' Loved to go up against these MACH 1's -- blew them away ALL the time.
Now --- the 1973-74 BOSS 351's, that was a different story. They were quick.
That color works on the mustang ! Beautiful car !
Nice!
I am not sure if Ford made a Mach one notchback
Sports roof and convertible only for the Mach one.
Wow that is one mean cool ride well worth the money
Rear end looks 🔥
Wow that's gorgeous!!
That mach 1 looks nice,
It sounds really good nice mustang
The original Elinor. Except it should be yellow. 1973 was the first gone in 60seconds.
Love the colours beautiful Mustang thanks Nick have a very nice day mate
Thanks 👍
Nice mach1 but I still love my 71 ragtop
Hello, from land o ' lakes,wi...keep posting, this is an as some site for hunting cars,,,,,great,,,,,I like your lot, beause,,you have the 77 cutlass salon( silver, red),,I owned one for six years, cool, great car....first time to see a car I had,,,,remember....!.............tnx,pat.
What a beauty!!
Love that color!
makes the sound of a mad max car
The OG Elenor
When our gold backed money kicks in ( rainbow)…. It will be 1,990.
Sounds like you have a vacuum leak and a pulley bearing going out in that old ford not to mention the grease coming out of the rear end
Se ve ke conoces los mustangs ..solo al ver como cierras el capó. Muy bien. I LOVE 73stangs. Thanks!!🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🖤🖤
Nice Big Stang!!
Hell yeah
whats the other pedal for? the left pedal
It’s a beauty
Yea that’s my dream car but I can’t afford it because I’m only 15 but maybe someday I will get some money and get me a car like that
My 13 yr olds dream car
my favorite 🤩
Great video 📹
Not missing
Had that happen when I go on vacation bank cuts card off after about third gas stop then u gotta call& tell them ur on vacation
Salute.
Boy somebody brought a dog bow wow wow
I miss my 73 Mach1 351 Cleveland with Boss heads. Do you deliver to Canada? I am 2 hours from Detroit
These are getting scarce and when one comes to light here they turn heads
i just hope and pray you still got that Mach 1
Nope. I bought it.
Nice car just missing on one cylinder. I’ve never saw an orange one before, looks solid. I would pull the engine and have it rebuilt with that mileage. I own a gold one with a 4 speed 351C with only 40k on it. They detuned these motors by retarding the timing and restricting the intake. You can change the intake and adjust the timing and those motors will perform well.
