Remember the red E36 M3 from Hiep & Thomas? Well it's gone through quite a re-build. I hope you enjoy this walkaround explaining all the details on the build! Next video will be on a lap of this car.

Money well spent. Beautiful blend of track function and aesthetic form.
My E36 328 (now 245hp) -91 (4-door) trackcar is 1068kg.
No carbon at all and only the hood in fiberglass. Full certified roll cage and bigger brakes E36 M3 discs and Porsche 996 calipers)
As Germans say: E36 Endstufe! 👌

If you specifically talk about abs upgrades it would have been good to also talk a bit about the brake setup.
It's nothing too crazy: It's a VMAXX Big Brake Kit on the Front with Pagid RSR pads. The rear is stock e36 M3 also with Pagid pads.
Honestly this is a dream build. I rebuilt mine by hand with limited resources. That cage is fantastic, especially with the tie in for rear subframe
+1 for the synthwave and 90's retro vibe.... was just listening to timecop :)
Last time i was this early for a video, this M3 was still red.

Yeah, I want also to know how this car is possible to have licence plate and drive legally without problems...
I’m also curious, what is the way to keep license plates while added full roll cage. I mean to keep the car road legal. It is possible in DE only, or in whole EU?

Great car 😍 I am building e36 also and I have one question. I really loved that the rearseat back metal plates and rear windshield undertray is cutout, I want to do same but that plates are structural piece of car and does it cause to violate car stiffness or change geometry?

if you put a mic buffer on your camera it will help with that wind sound when talking. cheers, there cheap like 5 bucks. helps sound quality

Where did you get the fog light air ducts from please
Doesn't the spare tyre well act as a diffuser together with the rear bumper valance, by making the bottom flat, by removing it there must be a giant hole underneath now
It’s a walk around video with the owner for sure but would always be nicer to see you drive the car for some time and show it us over a good POV.

I done it on my own E36 project, but for the street, so i replaced it with one for sunroof

Hi, geiles Video und ein krasses Projekt. Ich baue gerade genau den gleichen als 328i. Wenn ihr schon mit den ganzen Umbauten auf 1.100kg gekommen seit, dann komme ich niemals annähernd an das Gewicht dran :-D

GFK (Glassfaser verstärkter Kunststoff) ist in englisch GFRP (Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer). Fiberglass versteht aber auch jeder. :)

Edenhofer Motorsport stellt die Kombination her. Karbon Frontstoßstange + Schwert + Karbon Frontträger

My e36 m3 didnt use oil at all that is weird too hear this use a lot?
But the car is done great👍👍
The engine has been rebuild with wiseco forged pistons that don't have the swipe piston ring anymore to make it possible to rev it to 9000 rpms. That is why it's using a bit of oil.

US spec S52's definitely use oil... about 1qt every 4000miles or so
