Proud to be the first manufacturer to work with you, you've done amazing things for the media side of the sport in such a short amount of time!
Thoughts throughout the video:
- Love that the discs match your shirt
- Copperhead Ace Run!
- An Alpha Bayonet should have a little more flip for your arm speed, but that Bravo Bayonet looks STABLE
- Alpha for future discs sent to you, noted ;)
- Nimitz Ace Run!
Great video!
LSD plastic feels so good! I’ve almost replace my whole bag with it
Lone Star keeps putting out better and better stuff, it's an exciting time to be in disc golf for sure. Good vid, as always 👊
I just had one of my worst rounds in recent memory while working on a form change. I'm sure it will be worth it, but it's comforting to see other golfers going through it
I have about 4 months of playing at least once a week and played a random draw doubles last weekend. I had some pretty embarrasing throws lol. Form work has been helping but it's still ugly sometimes.
Mine is finally on the up. The bad rounds are worth it! I’ve been parking mids on holes I NEEDED fairways on in the past. You got this man.
I’ve been working on my form I feel like I’ve been able to hit gaps more consistently while throwing harder
Lonestar killin’ it with more nice molds!
The copperhead is like the discraft ringer gt The z flx plastic is the best
I'm super bummed out. Bought a Guadalupe last week, had thrown it about three times and just happened to make it go flying crazy to the left into this ladies backyard at my local course with no way of getting it back because she's a nightmare to deal with. I have too much respect to try my retriever over a huge fence, or to climb into someones property, but dang. That thing felt awesome and was like brand new. You're welcome, lady!
I use the bluebonnet as my main putting putter and have been loving it, also the mockingbird and Guadalupe are solid fairways and just got a Curl
I agree the bluebonnet is an amazing putter. I just made a 63’ putt for birdie with it over the weekend. I just started playing 2 months ago so it felt like an ace to me 😂
LoneStar seems to make some nice discs
This is awesome! I was wanting to see these discs when I saw your other lone star videos and there are very little reviews on these newer discs!
I just got my new max distance with my champion glow Shryke which was about 80ft farther than I was throwing since I've started playing again last September, so keep at it Anthony because I know you'll get that distance back and beyond!
I've had a Lone Star Jackrabbit in my bag for a few months now and I find myself using it for more and more situations. I really like it. I'm interested in that copperhead and especially the lone wolf. It's difficult to find a solid understable mid I can get a nice steady left to right flight. Right now I am using a very beat up roc3, but it won't stay with this flight path, so I'm kind of on the lookout.
Lat64 Pearl
@@jamescarrier3372 yeah? I had considered a fuse from them. I don't really have any Latitude, so I'll have to look at that one.
My one thing about form change is to still keep it comfortable. I know OT references almost strictly DG and SL, but they developed that form themselves off of others. So take it as a way to grow and get more uniform, but keep it comfortable to where it still feels natural.
Maybe I'm wrong 🤷
You’re right but sometimes what feels normal or natural for people can be REALLY wrong especially if they don’t have an athletic background
@@kaimcguire5086 Very true, but he does! Ive seen some god aweful forms though haha. His wasnt even that bad in the first place.
I appreciate that. I'm def in the boat of I want to get very uncomfortable for a short period so I can unlock potential differnt and more beneficial movements. I'm glad I'm not planning to play any tournamnets for the next 3 months or so so that Ihave the adequate time to break everything down and build it back up, but it's definiitely going to get better
@Bodanza Disc Golf I love the attitude brother. Keep it up!
Yeah I got picked up as a LSD ranger, and that bayonet run is ridiculous. It'd more overstable than the bowie. And I am in colorado springs, so it's really really overstable here. I will take any of those off your hands. Lol. Love the content
awesome video! great to see the newest discs from Lone Star!
Love your videos! I think I am nearly completely caught up in watching all of them and this one stood out to me when you were talking about your form. It reminds me of a local pro/youtuber from my town @Robbie C Disc Golf I think it could be really beneficial to reach out to him and talk to him as he is going through the same thing you are with changing form and trying to regain the true love for the sport despite its challenges.
Keep up the great work!
Looks like you ended up with a first run Bayonet. Way more stable than it should be. We got one of those, too. I understand later runs actually throw accurate to stats.
good to know! haha, yeah was super surprised, thought I was just a super noodle arm (still def a bit), but then when I rolled the shryke and it was SOO differnet I knew it wasn't fully me lol
The fact that you matched your shirt to the discs makes me happy
Nice. Love seeing you try out discs. Good job on the -3!!
I feel you on the form change woes. My friend got a video of me throwing and I chicken winged the reach back. I couldn’t even get my beat up fd to turn, corrected it and my stuff started flying much better.
Grew up in Deerfield Beach, went to Tradewinds last time I went down. Enjoyable course. Nowhere near 3 down, though :)
I came back to disc golf after several years off due to injuries. Completely reworked my form, putting etc.
I hated the game for a month and my scores got worse and worse. Then things clicked and my game has improved a lot.
I felt you really hard on the not wanting to play. Push through and the rewarding feeling will come back
Glad I wasn’t the only one who tried a bayonet and thought it was like a cap rap haha. Surprised me for sure.
Definitely have lost confidence at times when progressing with my form. We have all been there. When it comes back, its a great feeling.
Keep trusting the process.
You know, I feel like it's been at least five videos that I've mentioned the ringer GT, but you described the ringer GT from this craft when you describe the copperhead. Literally it has a thumb track. It's got a microbeat at the bottom like it's a four-speed putter. It's what sits in my zone slot because I don't like the way zones feel. I'm telling you if you like that you should try the ringer GT
11:09 - If you had pronounced "crazy" as "crazay", I'd answer yes. As always, loving the content!
Almost thought you had a black ace at 14:24 by the sound of those background chains
You missed the Super Dillo bro. That was their 3rd last disc released, and is a very odd large understable 1 speed.
Trust the process! You will get there!
Nice roller with the Shryke, get to know it, great disc
Blew RIGHT past Iceberg TV! Incredible to see the rate of growth over other channels in the disc golf sphere.
Hello there duderino, where did you get your shirt?
Thanks for the video!
I know the feeling. Constantly changing because I'm still new and trying not to learn bad habits.
One thing with the 13 speed, maybe it's not being thrown fast enough? I have a diamondback that is 9/5/-2/2 and I never get any turn on it, only dump left.
That was my thought too on the 13 speed. I throw shrykes (same numbers) and it takes a considerable amount of arm speed to get it to flip, not taking wind into account
Keep Going!!!!
could have been the previous basket being putted into but i distinctly hear chains on the first shot on hole 15 with the nimitz.
How does the Nimitz fly compared to a Wraith? (If you know haha) Great content as always Anthony, keep up the amazing work!
You’re “in the bag” video is going to be very interesting. I’m glad I don’t have to make these decisions for you 😂
This shirt is sick!
New shoes?
Mizuno it looks like?
Did you switch from Saucony fully or just happen to be wearing different kicks today?
These are the idio Syncrasys, they're disc golf specific shoes. I have them linked in the description with a discount BUT I haven't fully tested them yet. I'll post a review about them in a month or so afrter I have plenty of rounds with them
God those damn mosquitoes ate me alive at this park, I couldn’t get away from them. I still have blood on the disc a bought from the pro shop from when I killed one.
Love the 👕
The discs match the shirt also
Been mighty curious about the bluebonnet. How’s the hand feel? I know you mentioned “pure-like”. Similar to that, maybe a mix of pure and P2?
Really really close to a Warden. I used to putt Pures and a couple years before that Wardens and it definitely feels closer to, and flies like a Warden
I'd say it's like a warden p2 mix. Similar depth to pure rather than p2, "thicker" feeling but solid
No offense, but your 13 speed woes are due to your arm speed. You’ll unlock the correct flight when you throw them fast enough.🤙🏼🤙🏼
Hehe that's so bold. Blind, new discs, under/9. Haha, I know I'd eat it
Sweet shirt
for me the copper head is a lot like the slammer
Takes a huge rip to flip the 13 speeds. Didn’t believe it the first time I flipped my Z crank.
the woke old hippies and SJW millennials of r/discgolf hate this company because they make plastic parts for oil companies, which is really all the reason I need to bag lonestar plastic lol. some really cool underrated molds for sure.
Hey Bodanza, maybe you could link your pdga # to the about section of your YT channel? Some of us like to make sure your rating is still going up 😉
I gotta unique name, not hard to find at all, and I'm not even playing any events lol
So the -2 2 cancel each other out. So basically if you throw anhizer it will hold for a good while. But if you throw flat it’s going to just be hyzer
That isn't how those flight numbers work. They aren't a function of each other, they work separately from one another.
🎵 New kid in the bag doesn’t flip, water holes make me sick 🎵
the bayonet is more like a 13 5 -1 3 (boss like)
very much agree
Yo look who it is! 😄😉
@@CalebCrimDG Yo what’s up!
Watching Emerson Keith play in Straddle the Brazzos and throw the Bayonnet, there’s no way that it’s true to its numbers. Even for him, it’s a meat hook!
Foot fault, 8:06
🙃
Nimitz is legit…Bayonet is going to have to be re-numbered
That first run of Bayonets came out super STABLE. The Test Runs were Shryke like and the newest runs are in between a Shryke and a Boss. I've got 2 of each of the runs, night and day difference in stability.
Can you teach me some tricks
I really enjoy most of your content, but I feel like you are doing these disc companies a great disservice when you don't test out the discs first. You go out and make a video having no idea what the disc does and it reflects badly on the manufacturer/disc. When in reality if you knew how the disc flies you could choose the proper disc and throw it on the right angle. This isn't just about Lone Star. You have done this same thing in several recent videos. It's not real exciting to watch someone go out and play bad using discs that they have no idea how they fly. Just my opinion of course.
You are way to hard on yourself, you are playing with unknown discs on unknown courses. If you knew the holes and trusted your discs you would be playing much much better.
