A Quartet of Tom Sands Guitars - '3 Rue du Moulin' - Will McNicol

This is a quartet piece I originally wrote earlier this year for students of my annual residential workshop in Brittany, France. It's inspired by the beautiful venue we enjoy for the week - a wonderfully converted old farmhouse.
Tom Sands recently sent me a few new instruments of his to test-drive, and as such I thought it was a perfect opportunity to record the quartet! I hope you enjoy.

Here's a breakdown of the guitars I played:
Top Left: Anjou’, a Model S in Italian Spruce and Swiss Pear
Top Right: ‘Noah’, a Model M in Salvaged Redwood and 5000-year-old Fenland Black Oak
Bottom Left: ‘Lola’, a Model M in Moon Spruce and Madagascar Rosewood
Bottom Right: ‘Jupiter’, my own Model S in Redwood and Black Limba
