Honestly impressed that she actually went out and tried to be a waitress. It’s not the hardest of jobs, but it is very physically and emotionally demanding. For anyone who says otherwise, be like this girl and go take a good whack at it. I waitressed for many years, on and off. Don’t think I ever could again. The money is nice, but it’s very draining in every way.

As a waitress myself, I can relate to all of this. The gluten allergy they didn’t tell you about and hot plates searing your hands - those details you only know when you have actually worked in hospitality.

Brought everyone water when the big party began to order and I couldn’t leave chase they were literally rushing through telling me everything. Table of 2 left and complained and I got written up for not being fast enough.

Kicker was one day I had the entire floor by myself cause we got slammed out of nowhere and my GM came in and told me. I was doing an amazing job and not to worry.
Then he yelled at the floor manager for not helping me.
