to all that made comments about my dog, let me explain that this company is the best, the collar is not an electric shock, it bribes from 0 -50, his tail was cut at birth, he is 2 years old and is still the best investment I ever made with regards to his training, he is also a service dog, he is fine and very happy
Oh I know that very well. Firstly we had a Yorkie named Roxy who sadly passed away in my arms last year at the ages of 14 and a half years. After aa few months we got two Yorkies, Toby and Tapsy. Tapsy is a sweet little baby girl but she gets cold so easily. But my mom knitted some wool jackets for her and she's slowly getting a little collection of different colored wool jackets.
Fantastic work! It remains a mystery to me how dogs can be trained to do this! I've tried and I just can't seem to get my Yorkie to stick with it. Maybe I'm doing it wrong. Is it all about rewards/treating?
PLEASE DO NOT ATTACK AND BE KIND. Just sharing how I feel and my thoughts. Yes, having a dog is nice, a dog can help people feel emotionally better and also physically healthier (daily walks etc), be a companion, Friend, someone’s source of happiness. But unfortunately the negative is that, you must be prepared to invest A LOT in the dog, your time, effort and money. Most importantly is your mind and focus, it will always and only be on that dog (to be a good dog owner / for the dog to be healthy / no behaviour issues - if u r a busy working person, ur dog may start to have separation anxiety /problems. And the main thing is, this dog will pass on at some point in time, and then all ur efforts are gone. They say dogs live in the moment, thus, a change of new owner it’s alright for it. But people r the one dealing with the heartache when the dog is gone. And there are dogs who bite their owners, many stories of it. Health is compromised as well. And money is spent. That’s why abandon rates are high becuz ppl didn’t think so far, they jus want a playmate / cute face. At the end of the day before you get a dog, Ask urself if u can 100% devote urself to this dog , financially capable and also if u r ok to deal with the heartache one day and the possible negative outcomes. Thanks. Jus sharing my thoughts , again , please don’t attack me, becuz I rly want to have a dog but I often think twice becuz I want to be responsible, and not harm the dog in the Long run.
This is true and something I think about. I plan to get a dog. Sometimes I sit and talk to my brother. We're getting a pair to have playdates and well grow togetger. The breed is better in a pair. I think about if I can give the dog a good healthy life. The answer is yes. But now no, hence I'm planning for later. A rescue they abandon them a lot. It's a type of Husky. People leave them due to not knowing how to care for it one it's bigget, the coat.
I have a Yorkie named Sam, he is almost 6 years old and completly adorable. He pulls his leash when we go for a walk but i feel that the dogs in this video and generally the trained dogs this way dont even have fun on their walk. I mean just watch it. They walk like robots, they dont even sniff for a second the grass or the flowers as they should do to have fun as dogs and all they do is to pay attention not to do something wrong. The joy of a dog is his nose, to smell as much as possible and gather information doing that. The only benefit they have from this kind of walk is the actuall walk wich is big matter too but i really really dont believe that kind of walk make our dogs really happy. Personaly i believe there must be a balance which is the dog to walk without pulling hard but also the onwer to give him the oportunity to smell around and play carefree.
I have a yorkie as well named Bambam hes 7 years old nearly 8 and he jumps so high when he sees his leesh when i give him a treat he stands on his back legs and he doesnt bark hes a good dog btw my cousin has pebbles like pebbles amd bambam the cartoons :)
I agree. My little 4 yr old Yorkie, and several other Yorkies in the neighborhood always have their tail in the air and wagging like crazy when they're happy and allowed to sniff everything while on their walks. This dog looks scared to me, not happy at all. I never saw its tail up in the video.
This is a poor scared Yorkie. My Yorkie is full of beautiful energy, laughing and spinning around, so happy just to be alive and be with me wherever we go together. She sits or lays down, but doesn't get stay, if I move she wants to come with me, I don't even need a leash for her to walk just behind me. And that's OK.
That’s what I was thinking… the fact that he is 90% of the times with his tongue out means it’s in distress. I am sure they do a great job with training but that doesn’t mean the dog is happy. Some breeds need different types of training.
@@ronaldo19832 90% of the time he sticks his tongue out it's because he's out of energy and tired. The dog is not entirely happy because he cannot see his owners and that is not a big deal because the training lasts about 5 days.
My Yorkie is a free spirit and I respect that. We might look chaotic on a walk but we both have great fun. I let him do whatever he is into at the time. He has a stretch lead. I want him to be the happiest Yorkie on earth. He refuses to go out in the rain and that's fine.
stretch leads can cause accidents, i used to have one for my yorkie but my arms were hurting me, it was like my arms would fall off, he is a pack leader of u if he is in front of u. I have my pup on a training leash and its so much better for him when he wears his harness,
Stay is very important with a sit or down. This will keep a dog from from running out of the house or at a street. I have done agility with my Aussie and poodle and the loved it!!! They did not enjoy obedience type work, so I did not do it! This poor little one is cringing when rewarded no jumping or spinning. Like a happy dog! You can train Yorkers when very young 4 to 6 months them they become teenagers and it gets harder. My Aussie was perfect in house or out then it fell apart ai 18 months of age, and I had to work on it again! My Aussie Chesnee (from Chesnee Sc) rode on my Quarter horse Frances at 5 months then she gained enough endurance to keep up on 1500 up to 3000 acres. I have lost my last poodle the end of August and am looking for a small watchdog to RV with.
I think you guys do amazing work! I would really love to see before and after videos though.. like videos of what they're like on their first day/week and then maybe their graduation? It would be much more impactful and interesting than just watching the same exact video scenarios over and over with just a different dog doing the same exact commands. It would be cool to watch you switch it up and show us how they got where they are now and what they were like when they came to you. That would show just how good you really are. Just my tidbit of advice as a viewer, dog enthusiast and possible customer.
Lol does anyone else notice the eagle hollering in the background 1:55 and she's basically walking what could be seen as prey. I'm sure its just fine, I just thought it was funny, made me think of that scene from The Proposal.
What kinda harness or collar do you guys use? Our one year old yorkie is almost 4lbs and parks on leash at everyone that comes by and my brother can pull on her leash before she gets excited and she listens and not to me. I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.
gosh i wish my pedigree yorkie was like that, he can only do sit, stay, come when i call him, and plays dead, walks on leash ok but not all the time. Other then that
Neither the dog or the owner/trainer look like they are enjoying that walk bit soldier like ATTENTION...just saying my yorkie gets to sniff around and stuff but live and let live each to there own I suppose ..

I have a 1yr old Yorkie and she's not trained at all, not for lack of trying, I tried when I first got her a 3 months old with no luck and even hired someone, but that didn't work out so I start and stop training over the next months because she's over weight and very food motivated, she know how to sit and stay not to long in those positions when we're training when she follows my hand because of treats, when we're not training I have to tell her sit 3 or 4 times before she may or may not sit. I need help, it would have been nice if you showed how you got that Yorkie so well trained!

Roxy is such a good dog!! Makes me wanna train my lil yorkie to be just as good ^-^
She is so adorable! I also have a yorkie named Roxy, so nice to have that connection!
I don’t like seeing Yorkies with no warm clothes ! It breaks my heart because they get cold so easily 🥺

Это самая очаровательная пушистая котлетка, которую я видела! У самой два йорка. И я понимаю, какой это титанический труд - работать с ними.
Hahaha, the bird of prey in the background screeching. He's probably thinking, "Mmmm, that tiny, furry sausage looks delicious."
You both did an amazing job!

Yorkie's are great loyal dogs. ...Mine is a great guard dog. ..especially when she's in the car. ..its HER car then. .
That’s a beautiful Yorkie; just like my little girl. Same cut and coloring
My Yorkies name is Mikki and he will go to the window and if someone walks by he does a deep growl he just loves to protect me and my family

What a well trained Yorkie
How do I get my 9 month yorkie to stay for longer periodo of time. Once I move he moves
