Just ordered mine while Apollo is having their best sale yet! Their legacy sale brought the scooter down to 799! Combined with a light attachment and water proof stem cargo case for only an additional $10 for both! At this price nothing comes close to quality and value for the money! Can't wait to share my thoughts on user experience.
I was going by a Segway G30lp since i am only 5'1" for the shorter stem but the Apollo Air's 2022's stem is same size i think and i like the better reviews especially on the suspension smoother ride. Everything just seems way better. I have a Rad Rover Step Through 2 with only 7km on it i find it to big. Think scooter way better choice though Rad goes cross country in the park good. I ordered the Apollo hour ago.
@@juliajames2 great choice! The air is the best scooter at 800 dollars in my opinion. Now I'm waiting on my Pro and maybe I get a city Pro too to round out the lineup.
Thanks for all your reviews - I studied them all as well as the database. Considered the Ninebot Max, Emove Cruiser and Touring, Niu KQI3 Max as well as some more expensive scooters. Hard decisions. I chose the Apollo Air mainly due to it having front shocks and that it is somewhat lighter weight than the most of the others. Looking forward to scooting around with it!
Excellent choice! Thanks for stopping by & enjoy your new scooter. -Vosk
Nice video - seems like a decent enough scooter. I hope these new models have better repairability factor and improved process to order replacement parts. Flat tires are a massive pain. I'd be interested in a "6 month later" review
Thanks for the suggestion! -Vosk
Why are you releasing the 2022 model in August? Seems more logical to market it as the 2023
I started with the Segway ninebot and got hook on electric scooters. After the ninebot i wanted to get into something that performed slightly better (I needed a second scooter anyways for my wife) so I decided to order the Apollo air 2022 base off its specs vs the ninebot.
The apollo air 2022 does offer an amazing ride prob the best I’ve experience so far, but it lacks in hill climbing performance. Also the wider handle bars means for a more stable handling but increases the turning radius quite a bit and harder to transport in smaller compact cars.
Another downside is tube tires ! I already got leak and replacing the tubes is a very difficult task! I actually haven’t been successful at this yet and my Apollo has been down for months now.
I did reach out to Apollo which they did responded very quickly. I ask if they had a trade in program to maybe trade up to a more powerful model as I wanted to give the brand another chance but they just reminded me of there no return policy and recommended I just try and sell it on the used market.
So after a disappointing experience with Apollo I ended up just ordering the new Segway p100s.
Good luck with your new scooter! Let us know how you like it. -Vosk
did you even try to change the tube ? its not that hard
I have both the Air 2022 as well as the 60v Phantom V2 from apollo, and honestly I don't see where all the hate is coming from. I have had nothing short of a great experience with both scooters! My wife loves the Air because it's solid and simple and extremely smooth to drive.
The phantom is an absolute unit, I've had it up to 48mph gps speed and it hauls our son in a bike trailer at low speeds like its not even there.
Most people like to amplify their experiences on the internet when things are going bad and never when things are doing good so when you sell thousands of scooters their will always be few unsatisfied costumers! -Vosk
Hello esg, thanks for the reviews always. Could I slime these tires to make them puncture proof or prevent flats. I'm deciding between the kqi3 max and the Air 22. I would be riding early in the morning and have bumpy roads and sidewalks. Which do you suggest.
Slime helps but not great succession rate! -Vosk
I got my OKAI Neon stolen last week in Toronto and started looking for a new scooter. The OKAI was my first scooter and I loved it, especially because of its swag lights. Unfortunately I find that most scooters look a bit ugly and OKAI, its swag lights, its LCD display all make it to be one of the best looking scooters out there.
However, after 4 months with my OKAI I'm now upgrading to the Apollo Air 2022. Just got it last weekend and it should be delivered later tomorrow. Super excited about it, especially because of its ride quality mentioned in the review.
I think I'll miss the swag lights and look of the OKAI, but I'm honestly most concerned about the latching mechanism to fold the Apollo. OKAI's is SO damn simple, just by hitting it with my foot I can fold it and carry it, without any hooks whatsoever. Since I use my scooter a lot for running errands like quick groceries run, bakery, gym, etc, I wonder if the Apollo's folding mechanism will be too cumbersome for quick in-and-outs of shops and stores. I hope it's not too bad and I end loving this scooter.
Sorry about the theft! Stay Safe. -Vosk
Is this a better ride and value, over kqi3 max? I'd like to know your thoughts on the two of them. I'm hung up on pegasus, kqi3max, AA22. Like the range on the max, the speed of the pegasus, and AA22 has the smooth ride. Is there one that does it all at this price point ?
Both are good! Honestly can’t go wrong with either. Thanks for watching. -Vosk
Love it 👍🏽 but need to give you the option to unlock Speed. Handlebars needs to be smaller give you the option to buy and replace
Decided to take the plunge this past Friday. Ordered one and eager to give it a go whenever it arrives. Came in a small bundle of a light as well as a bag.
That’s awesome! Enjoy your new ride. -Vosk
Would be nice if they can figure out their logistics. They promise 2-6 day delivery time on their website, but it’s been over two weeks and they still haven’t even sent the package to UPS.
In stock scooters usually do! You can email them at support@apolloscooters.co for assistance. -Vosk
I like how Apollo is shifting to the more integrated user-friendly design. But I do miss the blue accented Zero copies.
Yes they are defubsteoh trying to go that direction , we also liked the blue. -Vosk
I haven't tried this model yet and now after seeing this I'm thinking I might need to...looks like a familiar architecture but updated in a few areas...could be terrific here on the Wet Coast :)
Yes it’s def worth a test! We like it.
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide Cheers :)
Let us know when you're ready to try a unit Tim, happy to send one over :-)
@@ApolloScooters I'd be delighted to try one :) :) The Ghost was awesome...I've been giving test rides on it :) :)
Thanks just bought it because of your review. Used your link as well :)
Awesome! Enjoy your new scooter. -Vosk
Question...Apollo's website has the AIr 2022 listed as having a rating of IP66 but your review stated IP54...which one is correct?
We believe it’s ip54!
Thanks for the vid and will probably be buying 2 from your link. Is the discount code gone?
Yes the code has expired! -Vosk
Seems like the Ninebot Max is the perfect balance when it comes to scooters. Best purchase I ever made.
NineBot max is an excellent scooter!
Agreed. Had so much trouble with my Apollo air pro but my ninebot max has been amazing.
@@feralstryke what kind issues do you have?
@@btam83 mainly issues with the stem. Downfalls of buying the first wave of the product. You run the risk of being the test subject for their product. Apparently they have improved but the whole process of having to send the air pro back multiple times and dealing with the company has soured any future business I have to do with them. Sure escooters are all subject to wear and tear but if in the first 6 months it becomes more trouble than it's worth...
Great review. Thank you. I am new to e-scooters and look for a scooter with min 100km reach. I don"t care about high speed and not worried about the price. I would be ok with changing batteries. Do you have any suggestions? Your opinion would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
The Anyhill scooter had batteries you can swap easily and so does the Dualtron Storm!
Hey! Good video! Have y'all considered a re-test on the Horizon V2?
We will be doing that in the near future! -Vosk
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide Awesome!
Thank you for this informative review. Is there a promo code that brings it closer to the mid range pricing? Also, given that this is near the end of the season, why are the prices of scooters still on the top end? Not seeing any of the Prime day prices.
We currently do not have a coupon code! We are guessing prices remain high because of inflation. -Vosk
Hey ESG, was the acceleration/speed test measured with the stock settings or adjusted in the app to the highest it can go? Thank you!
Highest settings!
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide I’m sold. Is it true the new Apollo air pro is coming out in the next couple months? Do you know the price range of that?
Do you think that now when Air Pro's can be found under 500 euros that they are a good buy?
They should have a few distributors in Europe! -Vosk
Based in UK myself I’m guess the Uscooter you mention here is the same as the E-twow GT coming I’m here at£500 which is a steal for range speed and suspension
Yes its very similar and good value overall -Vosk
What type of gloves are those Paul? I might buy a pair. Thanks!
Hi Masaaki!
They're made by Held. They're motorcycle racing gloves. I got them after I broke my wrist testing a scooter. They're a little over the top for a scooter, made with: titantium, Kevlar, Nomex, carbon fiber, kangaroo leather and actual stingray leather on the palms! Retail on these is insane, but you can find them on closeout from time to time.
-Paul

ONLY 31KM tesed range? thay said 50km on the website.
We test in real life conditions!
You tested the range to 31.4km in sport mode. Why were you expecting more when the specs on their website said 30km range for sport mode? I know it didnt go 35km/hr but it went slightly above range they specified
Conditions , rider weight all play a factor!
which scooter can be useed longer like less maintenance?
Most scooters will require Atleast some maintenance! -Vosk
Great scooter but at 1000 cost and seeing the Apollo city I’m really disappointed the ip rating isn’t at least ip55 and no indicators were added to this update of the air. It’s like they held back on purpose to make ppl go for the city. But portability is the key with the air. Fingers crossed for the next version, hopefully the Uk will have legalised scooters finally by then!
Insightful! Thanks for sharing. -Vosk
I am 165 cm in height and 145 lbs. Give the size and height of this scooter and the width of the handle bars. Would this be a scooter for me. I rode a Apollo City 2022 and the handle bars were way to high. The width of the handle bars made it easier to steer. What scooters would you recommend of the same calibre for my size. All the riders on the channel appear taller than myself. What is the recommended height of handle bars from deck up? Thanks for your help.
What is your budget ?
1500 US😊
Seems like it has okay specs. My vote for best entry SUV scooter goes to NIU KQ13 Max! Faster top speed, way better range, top of the notch build quality and warranty. The only thing the air wins on is suspension and weight. With current discounts the NIU Max is also a steal.
Niu is an excellent scooter! -Vosk
How does the bump absorbed at the front treat you at the rear?
It handles average bumps decently!
Hope to win one some day love this electric scooters !!
Awesome! Thanks for watching.
How does this stack up against something like a Vsett 8?
We have not tested that scooter yet!
I own the air. My throttle is a little sticky any solutions? Thanks
Contact Apollo for a replacement! -Vosk
Do you recommend this over the niu Kqi pro?
Yes we do! Thanks for watching. -Vosk
Think it could do some low key off roading?
Not meant for off roading! -Vosk
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide understandable. I do it on my Swagger Boost 5 scooter though, so I think this will be a major upgrade.
This is #1 on my list right now. The handlebar shape doesn’t look very accessory friendly. Do they make an extender?
They sell accessories for this handlebar Thanks for watching. -Vosk
Looks like a winner !
It sure is!
Anyone know if the Apollo Air 2022 bought from Apollo comes with a charger? or do I have to buy it separate?
Yes it’s suppose to come with a charger!
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide Thank you for replying. I will let you know how it is once I receive it.
Is this video referring to Air pro 2022? I am wondering why you are comparing Airpro 2021 to Air 2022
It’s the Apollo Air 2022 Model! -Vosk
19mph for a £900 scooter i don't think is very good. im tryna get the wolf warrior x plus tho soo i guess i care more about the speed than comfort
Several other options available for sure!
This or the city for NYC streets? (Mostly bike lane)
Should be okay but not recommended for large potholes! Thanks for watching. -Vosk
Could you recommend a scooter for my needs? The key things I’m looking for are;
-weight less than 30lbs
-long foot deck
-good portability
Don’t need to prioritize around performance, speed, range, cost. Any pointers much appreciated!
My goal is to be able to have my 3 year old stand on the foot deck with me occasionally (at low speeds) when he gets tired. I'm a big guy so high weight capacity is also important. I'm struggling to find a scooter that's big enough, but at the same time light enough. Happy to compromise on all other criteria!
Take a look at the Fluid Mosquito!
What’s the discount code?
You can use ESGAIR50 for $50 off! It is already on sale so this extra $50 off is just cherry on top. -Vosk
I would buy it through you but I’m Canadian, and a link for us with discount codes and I’ll be willing to wait to purchase
There are currently no discount codes!
Is this even better and smoother than the Seg Max G2? Only thing is it's kinda boring to look at for a grand!
You can’t go wrong with either!
This or the Fluid Horizon?
Both are excellent options! -Vosk
Looks smooth.
It sure is! -Vosk
1.3K..... Canadian. I think i'd hold out for a Emove Cruiser still @ about 2K even.
Both are excellent scooters! -Vosk
Thank you
Thanks for watching! -Vosk
the Air may have the suspension to get you safely around Berkeley, but if you're going to scoot around Oakland, you'll need to step up to a Phantom -- these roads are torn the heck up
For sure! Thanks for sharing. -Vosk
Why you say 32km but on the site is 50km
We list actual tested miles on real life conditions! -Vosk
Typo around 3:50 or so. “Energy”
Thank you for the feedback!
I need this in Europe
They have several dealers in Europe!
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide I'll look for them! Thanks! Do you know if they have warranty services too?
Idk man, Emove Touring’s pretty dang good
Yes it’s an excellent scooter! -Vosk
Nicely
Thanks for watching! -Vosk
You have driven so many scooters..............
What is your #1 escooter of choice for $1000 or less????
Emove Touring!
Nice review and content quality but for $1k USD … No thank you!
Definitely a premium price & scooter!
Variable regen brake is the future. Every other brake will be obsolete eventually.
We agree with that! -Vosk
This might be the one.
Yes it’s a very good scooter plus you can get $50 off with code ESG50AIR
I think the zero 9 is better for the same price
It’s a nice scooter just older now! -Vosk
Man, like 200 to much and 10 pounds to heavy.. i dig it though
We like this scooter as a overall package!
this scooter given it’s range, price and top speed is a joke. Buy this scooter to be swindled. There are plenty of scooters more valuable and cost less
I'm disappointed by this scooter. After riding for a few weeks, I find it underpowered, slow and terrible going up hills. Ok for flats though, but I don't live in a flat town.
This scooter was designed for flats and is for basic commutes. They have the Ghost & Phantom for 40MPH speed and very good hill climbing ability. -Vosk
A grand isn't entry level.. far from it
Between entry and mid level! -Vosk
Yoooo
Hey!
i swear that has to be my dream scooter! its all i ever need in a scooter!
Nice! Hopefully you can get one soon.
