So many people were so badly corrupted, and even the animals were confused. God had to do something to stop before the world was entirely destroyed.

Also was stated that they gave mankind a term of 120 years to live and under the most pristine conditions of man today our life expectancy is 120 years. We are discussing events that occurred thousands of years ago, so it's unrealistic to expect to find something like Noah's Ark intact.
