Point being, if it's not clear, our industry is pumped full of "optimal" approaches, but they're strictly optimal on paper. Consistency with a mediocre edge, but over a long period of time, will outperform a better edge that is too psychologically unbearable. Surviving long enough for your edge to play out and pay out is rule number one.
