- The ship Arabella's original (first) name was Thalia (second name was Maro) and was built in Samos in 1935.
The ship has an interesting history in time...but today ship ARABELLA functions as a coffee bar and gives another dimension of romance to Thessaloniki and beyond. A pirate ship with a pirate on board departs from the base of the White Tower. It takes you on a one minute drive around the bay. Everything is free, but you have to buy a drink.
