4k Flying over Detroit, Michigan | Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 Ultra

- Today we're flying over Detroit, Michigan in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 in 4k ultra settings. Make sure to stick around until the end of video for a night time view of downtown Detroit and we'll also be landing back at the Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW) at night. We're starting the video departing from DTW and then making our way over to downtown Detroit.
I've never been in downtown Detroit but I have driven by it twice on the highway while crossing the U.S. and Canadian border at the Ambassador Bridge during 2 road trips. It's definitely on my bucket list of places to check out. I'm planning to do another road trip once Covid is over and Detroit is on my list of places to spend a couple days at. It’s crazy to me how in most cities the downtown is so insignificant area wise compared to the suburbs and surrounding urban areas. Hello from SE MI!

americas got too much sprawl, most pre-1940s suburbs should've been replaced by midrise developments due to how close they are to the city center (significant buildings preserved of course) but americas zoning laws are not very good, its built to favor car centric suburban sprawl. detroit has a good opportunity, all those empty areas where houses were downtown can get upzoned. enough space to keep existing buildings directly north of downtown and not kick out residents

@nathanielthomas2502 even in an airplane I would still be on edge flying over city Airport. 🤣 although I don't think it's as bad as it was when I was dating a girl in Grosse Pointe back in the day. I'd drive 94 every night because she worked afternoon shifts and It was just sketchy. Lol

Great video but I'm thinking about getting this and was wondering are theses mods or legit?
Highly recommend getting it. Microsoft about to have an update soon to drastically improve it before the Xbox release too. Lots of mods available from planes, airports, and cities on PC. Also a lot of people have made custom aircrafts and liveries as well
I was born in Detroit, raised till I was about 6 but we go up and see the city at least once a year and watch the tigers play - my Microsoft flight doesn’t show the renaissance building and stuff, just a bunch of “place holders”. How is yours so accurate?
Could be graphical settings, map version or there’s mods that make it more accurate
