As a start-up business owner, I am very cautious about money management. I have often realized that as a public face, modest investment in appearance is necessary, but excessive consumption of luxury goods is unrealistic. You buy it to appreciate the work that the designer has put into the product, the other one is illegal for a reason. Also, the fake one is made in sweatshops, where the workers are paid horribly and work in terrible conditions. Else there is no way for it to be that cheap.
Nina Schaumann high quality reps are not made in sweat shops, they are mostly made by previous company employees that have their own small fabrics. Fast fashion is made in sweatshops by kids so please dont ever buy anything from the mall, dont shop in zara, pull n bear, tommy hilfier, tom tailor, massimo dutti, forever 21, fashionnova and etc also ysl have sweatshop in china, they ve been exposed, lv has factory in bulgaria and their workers are paid less than 400€ a month. Do your reaserch!
P L There is literally no proof of that, and workers have to sign an agreement beforehand, saying they won’t do that. These workers are skilled people with years of experience and respect for themself and the craftsmanship. I completely agree with buying fast fashion, you should never support that industry either. But this industry is so, so, so horrible! It’s also proven that a portion of the counterfeit goods market is controlled by organized crime, so the money will go straight to their pocket, not to the workers or to the government through taxes (which it does with the real product). I do agree with the thing about problematic things within Louis Vuitton, and that IS a big problem, and there might be even more dodgy things happening, that one shouldn’t agree with. But that doesn’t make the fake market any better. Also, the fact of the matter is, that no matter what, these products are straight up illegal.
And replicas are more durable. I had a few Originals, when poof that part where u attached the sling came off, I was a bit disgruntled to discover that there were only 3 stitches to keep it together, no wonder it was so flimsy. A $2K bag should be hardy and durable but not so much for most LV’s. Had to take it to the bag doctor for proper stitching so I can attached again the sling without having to worry 🤷🏻♀️!
I recently sold my metis I purchased December 2018 but shortly after, I suffered from seller’s remorse. Which caused me to repurchase another Pochette, A 2020 model. However, I do notice the difference. The leather on the newer bag seem less sturdy, the handle is very light and the scent comes off very strong. Louis Vuitton had an increase twice this year but are decreasing in quality.
You can save some pocket money by buying fake goods to buy a small apartment in my country, haha. *preluxs*

The smell is probably because you stored your bag in a box. You’re not suppose to store your bags in boxes because it can cause mold/mildew due to humidity. Always store you’re bags only in the dust bag so that there is some type of airflow 😊
I used to work at a luxury bag store and we NEVER kept the leather bags in plastic bags/boxes. Yet we would have customers complain they wanted the bag in the original plastic when they would purchase it...
Too much opening on rooms will bring in dust. Open a teeny weeny part of your window for circulation to prevent moulds from infesting your room. These are for vacation houses. Same goes for bags. Yes, keep air circulating, even just a bit will solve the problem. Too much is also bad.

I love how honest you are about everything. when someone is carrying a replica and you pass them on the street no one can tell whether is fake or real one because you cannot do this much analysis on it. what I hate about LV and why I stopped buying them is that many people assume your bag is fake when they pass you on the street. It's very annoying. one time a woman walked up to me and actually asked me if my bag was "real". after spending almost 2K on a bag and being asked that question was so offensive i stopped carrying them. When I bought mine, I was told to take the plastic covers off the hardware because In hot weather it can melt into the metal and then it will be hard to get off. I was also told not to leave my bags in the box, because it could cause the bag to sweat and mold, again if the weather is hot. Only keep it in the dust bag.

I was just going to say the same thing. If you live in a hot and humid climate area then leave your bags in the dust bags only. Never in the box and dust bag. It could get moldy and it could cause whatever leather is on the bag to bubble and separate from the canvas.

I just bought my Metis a few weeks ago and it doesn’t smell. I do love it so far because of the size and capacity. I would definitely return yours especially because this bag was expensive compared to their other canvas bags! I do find the strap very stiff. Now that you’ve worn yours for a while does the strap soften up? 😊

I agree with what you say regarding trying out the bag before you spend so much for authentic. I have this bag (dupe) and was able to cross this off my wishlist. Decided I didn’t like this bag enough to purchase the original. I have 4 original bags and I baby them- in the closet more than on my arm! I like having this dup, take it out when it’s raining or just when I don’t want to worry about my handbag. It’s nice to wear the LV style and just relax with this dup.

You can clean your bag with water wipes (even the leather) and that will help with preventing the water spots and staining.

I use to love the smell of the inside of my pochette Métis bag. The smell is different from the plain canvas material. It could be because you’re pregnant that it bothers you so much. I’m currently pregnant as well and a lot of fragrances that I use to like I hate right now.

Hi Thanks for sharing. I just bought the *esluxscom* 2 days ago which was on my wish list for my occasion bag, is it worth buying this? The félicie pochette is really nice and classy and you can use it in 4 different ways, so the CA showed me the félicie from the drawer and I checked on it then I asked the CA if he can get another stock so I can compare the one he pulled from the drawer so he did. I noticed that the félicie from the drawer the leather was a bit shiny or glossy while the stock he got the leather was matt so I choose the shiny one that attracted me but I just wondered why they are different and you might have any idea. When I got home I just noticed that when you opened the envelop the back mid fold leather was a little loose is it normal when openning but when its closed its ok no problem (I didn’t noticed in the store and compare to the other one). Any advise will appreciate, I do always love watching your videos.

The box storage probably collected some humidity and it’s giving a funky smell now. Many times depending on where you live if it’s too hot or humid or too dry, the leather bags will react according to storage.
Omg yes mine(authentic) has a odor inside too! Idk what it is bcus none of my other LV bags have an odor. Called lv and they said it was normal and that I could wipe the inside with a damp cloth.
I also thought the lining was suede but it is actually microfiber so I'm going to look up ways to remove odors out of microfiber cus the smell stops me from using it as much.

i have the real one too, but mine doesn’t have a funky smell like you’re experiencing so that’s weird! maybe something spilled in it. i have the LV key pouch and it got wet on accident, and ever since it has a smell, but that was my fault. use my pochette everyday & it is worth all the money!
The original is slightly deeper and wider. The stitching is finer, and the zipper in the back lays better (flatter) but I think that no one would notice the difference unless they were in the handbag business. (Mom wss a handbag designer.)

The fake has a curved bottom. Rounded edges, thinner in depth, glazing is off , the fake inner stitched tag the hardware is tooooo shiny.... the Font is not correct..... just a few things that I saw from the video
Actually I prefer rounder edges and bottom as it looks sweeter. The real one looks too "stiff" and too manly, especially with the darker color as well.
Honestly though, it should be the other way around whereas the real should be the fake one.

The replica looks a little bit shorter looks like only about 1/2".... You usually find that with replicas. Xx 🇬🇧
People could easily spot a fake LV bag through the monogram. Real LV never breaks the monogram logo within the stitching but the fake one does. Look at the comparison on 6:13 and pause on it. You could see the difference on the monogram from the fake vs. the real one.

The point about the real/fake bag is not because you are "going to pay that much money for a bag". When you are rich you dont think like that. When you make 80k a month, pay 2k for a bag is just a bag. Now if you make 3k a month and want a 2k bag, thats the problem. Most people who buy fake luxury bag bc they want to look posh like the rich people, yet they are no where near that level of money. Im no where near that either but I save so I can give myself a real bag once a year. 5-10$ a day can get you there. Wearing a fake bag have certain insecurity about it. I would rather have a Coach and a fake luxury.

No matter if it's the *esluxscom* or any other, my steadfast belief stands that only practitioners can perceive dissimilarities in the sack's looks or the metal constituents.
I bought the PM in March from the boutique, I noticed the hardware had some issues, I took it back and they were able to replace the bag. So hopefully they can do the same for you.
Both didn’t have a weird smell, the SA did tell me not to store it in the box bc the bag doesn’t breath well. So hopefully that helps.
