We were in the queue about a year out for a 5.0 TA, but won the lottery for the showroom model. Appears to be the very one in this video and it's nifty! Been on a few trips and are very pleased with it! Towing with a 1995 Dodge Diesel 4x4 manual trans. Easy pull.. We're in Calif BTW..
It's fantastic to hear that you're enjoying your trips and pleased with your 5.0 TA. Sounds like a dream setup! Wishing you many more memorable adventures ahead, wherever the road may take you. Happy trails!
I was looking at new 1/2 ton pick ups when I struck up a conversation with a guy who has a 5.0. He told me that it is well over a years wait for a new 5.0, if I ordered today, which I can’t. Sorry but I have to move my search to other possibilities. Escape is great company with the best trailers of all sizes. Thank you!
Every week on the escape website they feature pre owned escape trailers for sale by owner. I was on the 5.0 waiting list but we bought one from people who’s circumstances changed. We love our escape.
Escape and Crew: Wow, you've outdone yourselves. WAY better coverage than previous videos, and it is nice seeing how the "contemporary" option actually looks throughout. Thank you. thank you, thank you!
Great Video. If I was to critique anything for future vids it would be that the dimensions should be on top because if you pause it to write them down the bar is in the way. Otherwise a fantastic resource.
Amazing trailer! Can’t wait to own one someday. Is there an option for the MORyde entry step? Those seem superior and a great option for a superior built trailer
My 2023 Nissan Frontier can pull over 6k but love to stay under. So I should be able to do this. What is the bed weight of this Escape? How do you deliver to the lower 48 states or do we have to come up and get it when ready? Thank you for this video. I will start studying up on these. Also is the bottom of these fiberglass also? Scamp isn't but Casita is. I really like these better than Casita but i do live closer to Texas. But Honestly, I really like this a lot better. Nvm I see the bottom haha.
Hi Joel! It depends on the tow rating, I see that some 2016 Duramax Canyons are capable of up to 7,700lbs tow rating. These could handily tow the E5.0. However, there are many factors to consider when towing. So, please email us at sales@escapetrailer.com and we'd be more than happy to assist. - Harrison@Escape
Hello, We consider the E5.0 to be a 3-season trailer, to be used up until freezing. This is because the tanks are located outside the trailer. -Harrison@Escape
Can you order a 5.0 Escape from the factory with 2 simple modifications: NO gas/propane appliances and NO black water tank, instead I would have a Cinderella Incinolet toilet professionally installed and the tiny closet for this space just taken from the dinette area. I can’t tolerate human feces.. I tried to use cassette toilets for several months and thought I’d die! Also I am scared of propane and don’t want to purchase if SHTF. Thank you very much! LOVE this trailer!!!
The Escape is not a four-season trailer. We consider it a three-season unit. You can use it in the winter; however, we recommend having it winterized once frost occurs (water out and anti-freeze in pipes). All windows (except the front window, where applicable) are dual pane. Optionally we can add spray foam insulation to the underbelly and heating pads on the grey and freshwater tanks which do run off your batteries. Still, we recommend not to travel with water when below freezing. Hope this helps!
Hi Jon, Slide outs are not an available option on our trailers. We endeavour to keep the shell as sealed as possible and slide outs have increased possibility to cause structural and leakage issues in the future. - Harrison@Escape
Hi David, Apologies for the delay in our response. Please see the following links: Escape 5.0: escapetrailer.com/the-5-0-escape/ E5.0 Build and Price: escapetrailer.com/the-escape-5-0-price-quote-detailed/ Comparison Chart (shows the weights you're asking for): escapetrailer.com/comparison-chart/
Hi there, Currently we only have wet bath trailers. However the E23 is in the prototype stage and is set to have a dry bath: escapetrailer.com/the-23-escape/
What if ai wanted this but wanted you to skip the dinette? I would rather put my own seating in. Not a fan of them and much perfer a place to curl up. A small set of theatre seats would be more fitting for me
Hi there, Unfortunately deleting the dinette is not an option as there is a fair amount of house equipment stored underneath the benches. -Harrison@Escape
CORRECTION: 32:29 incorrectly states that the Hot Water Tank is 5 Gallons, it is a 6 Gallon Tank
Would prefer tankless water on demand.
@@melodymakermark so would I. Can go through hot water fast in these.

I don't like the combo door I just like key only
I'll take the Colman air conditioner in the 5 0 escape
I’ve always been a fan of this company and really enjoy the new customization options to really make your 5th wheel your own. Well done!!
Thank you so much for your feedback! We're so happy to hear you like our E5.0 if you have any questions please feel free to ask! Happy trails!

Great job Harrison.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching - Harrison@Escape
Harrison sticks to the script, does not repeat himself and enunciates very well.
Thanks for this detailed video tour ... And the extra interior measurements. Well done! 👍
We have the 2020 5.0 and loved watching this as it is a great tutorial of what we already have! ❤️
thank you for the interior view of the above head cabinets. this is a very nice unit.
This was the best option video! Thanks.
I thought it was a two-piece fibreglass structure but I guess could be one once you put it together. Thanks for the video.
Love the e5.o hope soon I'll have one thanks for video
Thank you Karl and Harrison
thank you for an extremely comprehensive look - tour of your product
Thanks for your feedback we really appreciate it!
Love this video! We have a 5.0 on order snd this video was so helpful. Thank You!
Just ordered one!
A custom built 5th wheel, with a gross weight of 5500 lbs and a 650 pin weight is easily the best choice for half ton pick up towing.
I agree, so when does a bunk model come out 😂
Your videos continually improve. Thanks

Love this trailer ! When I win the lottery I will call you and we can figure out how to get it here to Albuquerque , New Mexico
Can repairs be done without issues from service centers or mobile techs in the states? These are made in Canada I think.

Please- there are many of us that are waiting for every scrap of information surrounding the 23, and it has been months since an update. Thank you.
Hi Dale, our most recent Q&A session has an update on the E23: ua-cam.com/video/amGxJlFsxnM/v-deo.html - Harrison@Escape
One option I don't understand is the reinforced wall option. Is it just a full sheet of plywood instead of a wood frame within the wall?
Great question. I too would like to know.
Me too
At 12:41, can you have the blue DC/AC charger mounted on the back wall? Maybe too heavy to mount on wall?
Need to make that led strip RBG so you can have low eye strain/ no bug light colors

I want! Do you think a midsize 2016 canyon with the duramax could tow this? Weight is at its limit.
Hi Joel!

Nice unit
Overseas they actually make a fifth wheel for the Ford Ranger and other midsize pick ups. Would you guys be able to do that for the American market?
This one is mid size capable, just check the weights. Just a slightly bit bigger than the Scamp19
is it ok with a 5.5 bed? (f150 Ecoboost) 2024...
Since you have thermal pane windows, how cold can this trailer be used at?
Hello,
We consider the E5.0 to be a 3-season trailer, to be used up until freezing. This is because the tanks are located outside the trailer.
-Harrison@Escape
What about mounting a tv holder? Where does one install one?
Hi Doug,
Typically people will mount a TV just to the right of the bed or to the right of the dinette.

Does the pin sit far enough forward to allow this trailer to be pulled by a 1 ton with an 8 foot bed? Serious question btw.
Hi there, That will pull just fine! Please let us know if you have any further questions sales@escapetrailer.com - Harrison@Escape
I could listen to you all day. Nice irish accent? Hope I'm right.🤭
My 2019 5.0 is missing the props for the smaller over-bed storage doors. Please tell me how to get them.
Hi Tom, send us an email at partsandservice@escapetrailer.com and we'll get this sorted for you - Harrison@Escape
I was wondering if you could double tow with this 5.0 camper
Hi Rodrigues,
Unfortunately you cannot double tow with the Escape 5.0. - Harrison@Escape
Are you guys using plywood for drawer sides in all your trailers now? I remember in an earlier video some of them were mdf.
Hi John, we no longer use MDF in any of our trailers - Harrison@Escape
@@takeyourescape great news
I'll take it! Can I trade in my 2016 Freedom deluxe?
I feel like it should be bigger to give more inside room. I wish there was more privacy to the bunk
So as I understand from the literature the Escape is not a 4 season trailer ?

What supports the 5th wheel tongue/hitch?
Hi Bryan,
The kingpin does not require support. Some opt for a 5th wheel tripod to help stabilize the trailer.
I wonder if it’s possible to put a slide out in one of these? Could someone who knows let us know??
Hi Jon,
Slide outs are not an available option on our trailers. We endeavour to keep the shell as sealed as possible and slide outs have increased possibility to cause structural and leakage issues in the future. - Harrison@Escape
What is the retail price on this trailer? Thanks - also what is the hitch point weigh and overall weight?
dead silence 😂😂😂

$58,000 is what they want... LOL.... For that much money I can get a much better trailer.
The only knock I have against the trailer is that it does not have a flush hook up for the black water tank.
Do you have dry bath trailers?
Hi there,
Currently we only have wet bath trailers. However the E23 is in the prototype stage and is set to have a dry bath: escapetrailer.com/the-23-escape/
Had to give you a TD. You used a 300mm telephoto lens inside of a compact trailer. V bad!
