I also wanted to share when I had my daughter I used a trash bin instead of the genie it was cheaper to get trash bags! I used one with a sliding lid and I never smelled them either it was the same material as the genie.
@alisontanner6805 she's just a baby doing age appropriate things. Give her a break. I think it's so special that she is involved. She also got some gifts. You're doing a great job Vanessa. It's all part of learning for her and you're so sweet and patient with her.
Ummm, she's a baby. That's what children her age do. Vanessa is doing the right thing. Teaching her that everything isn't hers. I've seen adults throw more things than Penelope did.😂😂😂
@@KathyWilcox-t4b true, but I think people are just concerned because when the new baby coming this behavior is going to make it really hard on Mom. She is going to be going through enough after the delivery and now is the time to correct the behavior, it take time but you have to keep reinforcing and encouraging the wanted behavior.
It’s so hard to be a toddler and watch things getting opened that aren’t for you! P did so well though, and your patience is heartwarming! Great haul of gifts! ❤
You do such a wonderful job with Penelope, you’re teaching her while also being patient. It was a struggle for her but you handled it perfectly! You received so many nice things, I’m so glad! Thank you for sharing, take care.
Aww this was adorable!! I couldnt help but laugh alittle when Penelope was 10:54 acting grabby and threw the outfit 😂. Shes such a beauty and acting just as a toddler acts! Ignore all the negative comments about what she should or shouldnt be doing!
The box is often the best toy, especially if you have a big sister or brother to pull you around in. My older boys use to pull their baby sister around in a box or on a blanket and she loved that so much.
The comments about her behavior are ridiculous. She is 2 and she is learning. This is all new to Penelope. There will definitely be an adjustment when tbe baby is born, but she will be fine. Vanessa, you are a wonderful mom. Nobody's toddler is perfect. There will be times she acts out or gets jealous, but you are doing a fantastic job with Penelope. She doesn't understand all the gifts for the baby, but she will be just fine. She is adorable. ❤
@heyvanessamartin I was a nanny for 20 years and saw MANY toddlers adjust to a new baby. I totally get it! Penelope is little and learning, and you are a fantastic mom.
That silicone cups are amazing. I got one for my nieces when she was baby, she is 3 years old and still plays with them. Amazing for playing in bath, sand or just stocking them on top of each other.
@@heyvanessamartin my niece also rolls them on the floor. They roll in circles so they are always around her. She spends a lot of time playing with them.
She is sooo adorable. Don’t listen to negative comments, P is well behaved and curious. Raising a 2 yrs old takes patience. You doing a wonderful job. Also good job with the potty training…my kids took forever to potty train, they were using the toilet at school…100pct, but not at home🤣imagine my shock! Good times…..

@heyvanessamartin does she have a new baby doll she can pretend play with until sissy get here? One thing we did when our 2nd was born was have a gift from the new baby to the older sibling. That helped alot 🥰
Love this video friend, I am glad you received these blessings! I love how you explain things to Penelope. You are so patient and sweet! Love watching you girlies. ❤
They all throw things at her age, I don’t think it is her misbehaving as some might believe, just a teachable moment really. She is so sweet, and honestly pretty well behaved!! It is hard to keep them engaged and interested for long periods of time and I feel like she stayed pretty engaged! ❤ It’s good you let her help, it is a small way to prepare her for the reality of things changing. I love the dress your sister got her. Can’t wait to see both girls together, being a girl mom is the best but I am biased! 😅❤
Please keep in mind the time of day this was filmed. It was in the evening @ dinner time. Penelope is only 2 . She is obviously tired which is why her attention span is poor and she is impatient. Commenting on a two year olds behaviour when she is tired is ridiculous. She can’t help it.
Lots of really cute gifts, and I think it’s important to show the gifts, other continent creators show the gifts their subscribers send them. A person who would give a gift, would I believe enjoy seeing the joy on the face of the one receiving it.

This looked like a form of torture for Penelope. You're instilling resentment in her for the newborn baby with this type of video while using her to open her sister's presents. This is too much discomfort for a 2-year-old. 2-year-olds have a natural degree of selfishness.
Oh wow! You haven’t seen much in the world have you? This is part of motherhood, parenting and being a toddler. She is happy to be involved and learning constantly can be hard for any toddler.
@@heyvanessamartin I've seen enough in the world, and I see what I see in this video. I do agree with those in the comment section who are concerned with your daughter's emotional state during the unboxing. I'm sure she's happy to do things with you a vast majority of the time, but in this video I see increasing breakdowns, throwing things out of frustration, and a growing lack of excitement and sense of possession over her sister's gifts throughout the video. I mean no offence, I just don't think this is the right way to approach opening presents with her considering her responses. I'm sure she'll adapt well when the baby comes, but this didn't look very fun for her.
You are reading way, way too much into this in order to condemn this mother. The most ridiculous thing is your take on this. The toddler is about to have a baby sister, so Mom here is preparing her for that. This mom is handling it appropriately, lovingly, and she is treating her child with respect, sensitivity and with patience all while disciplining her. I see a loving mother who is taking the time to teach her toddler that not everything belongs to her because she will soon have a baby sister. This mom is taking the time to prepare her for what is to come. The toddler is behaving like a toddler who needs to learn.
