Thanks mate! It’s the Jewel in the crown for them mate!! Probably gets the most tourists here other than London! I bet most tourists have this place on the list! It’s understandable as it’s fantastic! You can actually drive past it and get a good look still and I’m surprised they have not moved the road !
Yes my friend! I breezed past a lot of it because it was busy and we still have some form of restrictions then! Well worth a visit and the centre does add a lot of information!
Well when we were here it was very busy with American tourists who had been on some sort of cruise and had this place as a trip out! However so much to see around here you could have a vacation in the uk with a bit of planning
I was there in 1989. Things have certainly changed and I never recall the interpretive Centre, that must be new. Thank you for showing us around Stone Hedge. They still look amazing. I did also recall getting up much closer. Have a great Easter 🐣👍🏽🙏🏽
Hi my friends! Think I visited in the late 80s and 90s also! Your right the centre was not around back then as it’s fairly new and from the centre you cannot even see stone henge! You either have a mile walk or you get a bus to it! Bus is free but the walk is pleasant anyway! You definitely could get way closer to the stones! I’ve been under them at some point in the past but not sure when or how! May have been a tour. Anyway it’s a fantastic mystical place but also not far away you have a few less busy places that also have stones from that period! Sorry for the delay in replying
Yes now you have the centre to visit before going up to henge and then lots of burial mounds! Unfortunately lots of people just get the bus up to henge walk around and go back and never see the barrows
My dear Raymondo! This site has always been a wish of mine and I hope that sooner or later I will be able to visit it. It really is so fascinating and special! Thank you so much for this tour ... I enjoyed it from start to finish, my friend! All the best and hugs from Milan! Renata
Thank you Renata and sorry for late reply! Definitely somewhere to try and visit once! I always get a strange feeling walking here and no idea why also the same with Evesham (on a previous upload) that place is the same! Thanks for watching and have a great weekend!
@@RaymondoLeeTravel Oh, Raymondo! Definitely in my Bucket list! Oh, a strange feeling.... That's interesting! Warm wishes and nice weekend, my dear friend! Ciao! Renata
I can’t even comprehend the skill that was required to make this! The stones were from wales 🏴 and were dragged all the way here! Just no idea how that was possible and also how were they lifted up just blows my mind!
Wonderful tour to Stonehenge!! This is just one of those place. Been there a long time ago, looks like they changed the entrance and added some more items. I wish I could put the drone up and heard landmark trust was very upset about Drone, specifically so many over Stonehenge. Thanks for sharing mate!
Great to see it after many years. Never been up at all close ever though. Seems like visitors centres are all out to do one better than the next. Maybe you visited the Bannockburn one by Stirling when you were up? Good weekend ahead, Raymondo. I bet you all get out there and enjoy every minute. Take care all!
Hi Terry no we never visited bannockburn not sure why though tbh but did look great 👍🏼 one day we will go back and visit it! Yes I think they all want to pump money in or they get some extra funding for it!
Hi Lee and Shelley, great video guys 😊 it’s been several years since I last visited this site and it looks like they have made lots of improvements to the experience 😊 loved the video, I enjoyed seeing the stone tools too
Yes they have definitely improved the area massively and the visitors centre was a fair way from the site but I see the walk to it was well worth it anyway and the bus is free!
Feels like being here again for the third or fourth time. Thank you for this marvellous tour, Raymondo. Watching this while I'm on a quick brunch before school starts. And congrats on the 800+ subs! You'll definitely be getting to 1K subs in no time or even before this year ends. That's for sure, so keep up the great work! Speaking of which, I find Wiltshire one of the quaintest yet very charming counties in the south. If one is into ancient pre-history then he or she will enjoy the place esp. since besides the Stonehenge, there's Longleat, Savernake, and Marlborough Downs.
Thanks for the kind words as always and thanks yes 800 eventually let’s hope they stick around as I’ve got much more to share coming up! Hoping one day to average 100 views per upload let’s see lol 😂
@@RaymondoLeeTravel You can do it. Passion is evident in each and every one of your lovely uploads, Raymondo. As an aside, I have a suggestion. You are so prolific when it comes to uploading videos. Perhaps one way to increase the views to your desired goal of 100 views per upload is to limit your output. For example instead of 6 or 7 videos per week, make it 4 or 5. I hope it works. :)
I've seen a lot of pictures in my life of Stonehenge but never a video like this. You really make me wish I had the time to do nothing but travel for fun to the UK. Maybe one day

Hi Rick so I would say around 1 mile but from the start you can enjoy the adventure lab to that take you from visitor centre to stone henge then get the bus back! That’s what we did anyway 😊 remember that one we did that’s got a funny answer! That was the first one! Good day out when you add the other parts into it!
@@GeoRick nice 👍🏼 look forward to watching if you do record it! Very hard as you get to the stones are so many people around unless you get lucky! Think we had timed it wrong tbh! Although nobody around doing the adventure Lab so that was good! I guess you have a whole lot of things planned on your visit to the UK?
@@RaymondoLeeTravel hopefully it won't be too busy. Not sure how filming will go in low light but we have booked in for the 5:30am session. Deep into planning and booking and getting excited :-)

Totally agree chewie
This is on my bucket list. What a great video you captured. Thank you
Thanks Mimi it’s definitely one of those places you should try and visit once in your life if possible 😊
We have a replica over here in Washington State. Not as impressive as the real one. Thanks for sharing.
Really!? Wow 😮 what is the reason for the replica? Never knew of any others like this! Thanks for watching and have a great weekend mate
@@RaymondoLeeTravel it’s a memorial for fallen veterans.
mysterious🤩‼️
Agree very much so!
Thanks for the walk about.

Whoa. Had to take a minute to pause and read some of those information sections. Always interesting history behind all these artifacts.

Isn't everything different that when we were younger. Yep, no touchy the big rocks. So cool, just think of the skill it took to make it.
