Hello sir. I'm working as a HVAC Engineer in Qatar. I attended one interview. They asked two questions to me regarding VAV's.
1. VAV only adjust the airflow, then how the temperature is changed in the room.
2. If we set 22 degree in main AHU Thermostat and in the VAV thermostat Which is connected with the same AHU we are setting 18 Degree. Does the VAV Attain that temperature?

G.. In AHU system suppose 2 or 3 vav dampers closed means it creates the high pressure in main duct. so we are supposed to reduce / vary the Ahu blower speed. Is there any communication between the VAV to AHU Blower ?

Yes, if close more Vav increase Duct pressure so duct static pressure sensor reduce VFD motor speed ( 50hz to 30hz ) depending in air pressure
