I was thinking the ruins looked more 1950ish, including the hopper feeder. All the info I can find says that mining stopped after the lawsuit in 1911 and didn't resume. There are welds on the hopper feeder, and while welding has been around since 1881, it was not really used until after WWII when it got perfected and electricity was more common.
