That's possbily part of the safest community / area in the Domincian REpublic. Dominicus-Bayahibe ....1 way in, 1 way out & they take care of each other. I have too many friends all around there... Limon, Benerito, Bayahibe, Dominicus, and all between and around. BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL beach. Dont forget the islands just off the shores! Then there's the caves right by it... Cueva de Chicho y Cueva de Puente for those seeking more adventure. Good video! There's like 6 beaches all in walking distance and the heart shaped lagoon on the trail to Bayahibe.. and you can still see the old DR houses from the days of the fishing villages. Too many memories there . And of course they film there a lot for movies & tv shows, just off the shores of Dominicus.... the protected areas.
@@PurelyWalking If you really want to research something interesting. Learn about the Iridium deposits of Hispanola y educate people on this and where it's at. Haiti has the 2nd biggest mine in the world it's believed and it has to be on the DR side too / By Barahona y Azua I believe. Where the asteroid craters are & anywhere in decent proximity. Deep story. it seems that foreign interests dont want Dominicans to know. Enough money in that probably to change the economies of both countries short term.
well described 👍. Bayahibe beaches are indeed very nice with an incredible colour of the Caribbean water. In a few weeks I´m going to fly into Punta Cana airport, stay a few days in Hilton La Romana, which is located in Bayahibe, then stop over for a few days in Santo Domingo Zona Colonial. Then I will head for a week to Las Galeras and another week to Las Terrenas in Samana. Finally I have to go back to Punta Cana to let the voyage fade out in Grand Palladium / Bavaro before flying back to Germany.
O my goodness you're going to hit all my favorite places! I truly hope you enjoy your trip! Please let us know which is your favorite after you experience all these places!
@@PurelyWalking based on my voyages so far I can already answer that my favorite place is the combination of Las Terrenas (Playas, Bachata, restaurants) and Las Galeras (Playas, nature). From there one can do trips to Cabarete/ Puerto Plata and SD.
Boca chica has great potential but unfortunately it's been taken over by informal businesses and less than orderly visitors, so I completely understand
What is going to be the effect of sargassum in the DR on the tourist industry. I wouldn't bother visiting an area with that stuff. I'm losing interest in the Caribbean altogether. ☹️

Dominicus beach is the best. Bayahibe is my favorite place to stay at.
It's definitely up there on my list of faves!
I moved to Boca Chica 20 August 2020 and would love to move to a place that beautiful!

Yes, most places will accept USD
@@PurelyWalking On the beach too?
@@dovygoodguy1296 yep, even on the beach!
@@PurelyWalking Just as long as there's no seaweed!!
@@PurelyWalking Actually I'm concerned more about political instability because of the Haitian issue....
I like you!
Thanks!
Sargasso in english, not sargasm or sarcasm
It's actually sargassum. You can easily google it
