Just subscribed, great video, I’m from the Bay Area and drive by the Henry Coe entrance frequently. Thanks for the tour, I want to start overnight camping, thanks for the inspiration!

Hey Rod, I'm looking to do this exact trip early next month - is there a limit of 1 night only at Poverty Flats? Can I pay for 2 nights? Any other campgrounds you'd recommend nearby Poverty Flats? Thanks!☺

You can book multiple nights. It's first come first serve. China Camp is nice but a lot of traffic goes through. I never stayed there. I always like Ridgeview for chill trips.

Great video. I stayed in that same spot back in April. It was sure a lot greener back then with lots of wild flowers.

Thanks! Yeah it's a nice spot with the creek running nearby. I stayed at #2 a few times. My 2nd backpacking trip ever was there and I was sore for a week after climbing up that China Hole trail haha.

Beautiful country there Rod. Nice workin sleep system and good to see a the VIK 1 in action again. Impressive wee fishing setup you've got there too, bad luck with the pole - I'm going to attempt to put together some kinda small setup for fishing the Scottish lochs n rivers for when I'm out and about - my old buddys beef jerky setup didn't quite cut it last time out 🤣 Thanks for sharin'

That sounds great. I've been getting back into fishing lately and it has been a fun learning experience. Never know, they still might bite the beef jerky. Better keep some handy haha. Thanks.

Nice fishing setup, Sorry about your tenkara rod. I'm glad you chose to use a lighter quilt. I was just in Yosemite this past week and it was in the 50 - 100 degrees swing during the day. My 50 degree quilt was all I needed 🙂

Thanks. Yeah I probably would have been sweating again in the 20 deg quilt. It got pretty chilly still. I was missing the footbox of my quilt.

Oh sweet thanks. I was thinking of adding additional button snaps since there's already buttons on it. For some reason this comment is hidden from me. Had to use an app to see it. Hm
