I remember having a shocker like the poor lass in goal. I was 10 years old and playing for my primary school team, my fundamentals and positional sense was almost as bad as hers.

When it's a 17 year old kid, it doesn't sit right. It's bullying. Simple. Mistakes happen. Move on. Be better. Stuff like that can, have serious repercussions. Entitled to a opinion, but word it correctly. As it's a kid.
As a Rangers supporter the PT goalkeeper is a 17 year's old unpaid school kid yet grown men go out their way to slate her, IMO she performed very well against a professional side.
She shouldn't be there and the coach is to blame. She should consider playing football just as a hobby and make a living of something else
She certainly didn't perform well. If a men's goalkeeper doesn't have a good game it gets brought up so why shouldn't it get mentioned in a women's game? People like you are suggesting she shouldn't get criticised because she is female and also because she is young? The standard of women's football is getting better but let's be honest the standard of women's goal keeping is still pretty atrocious.
She’s also played in one more televised cup final with highlights on UA-cam than most of us…

She misjudged the first goal terribly, so what. She will learn from it and move on. I wish her all the best in her football career. So young and already playing at a top level, unlike many keyboard warriors here who never achieved anything in football, apart from playing with their balls under a blanket.

Not on about the first goal which was just bad positioning and situational awareness but the realiity is physically you have women 8-9 inches shorter than a male keeper who can also because of increased muscle mass and fast twitch muslecle fibres just jump a lot higher and more exlposively anyway and have much stronger hands and grip playing in exactly the same size goals!
Commomn sense tells you we'll keep seeing them lettiing In shots in the top bins and corners that make them look like 12 yr old pre adolescent boys In full size goals because they just physically have over a foot less reach available
Goals should be 6 inches lower and a foot less wide for the woman
And the pitch 20 meters shorter and 10 meters narrower If you want to see a faster transitions making the game appear in build up quicker and more exciting
The point is the young keeper was poor and has to bounce back from it and see it as a learning process. Plenty of games I have seen and seen bad mistakes from men and women. If you put yourself out there to play at a top level then you must prepare yourself for criticism and plaudits.

The Patrick keeper very poorly positioned for that first goal. That she’s 17yo doesn’t change that. If people only want other people to say only nice things they should stay at home and not engage with the world.

As someone who is not a fan of the women's game I have to admit that the pass out of defence for the first goal was a as good as the best passes I have seen in League 2 football this season but sadly the goal keeper made the strikers job very easy. Not sure why she didn't attempt to dive and parry the ball wide. Partick's equaliser and Ranger;s second were great strikes too.
I am here because of Joey Barton. I would tend to agree with him, Eva needs some improving... Plus, what is wrong with criticizing a pro or semi-pro athlete?

Partick Thistle shouldn’t have thrown the youngster into the Final as she in my opinion is too short for that position and lacking in experience on such a big stage🤔🤷🏻♂️
Of course the PT goalkeeper didn't play well. But it doesn't mean she should jack in playing football. I watch players, teams and matches in the Premier, Serie A and La Liga and there are several footballers in these leagues who are stealing a living, who should not be anywhere near a professional football match except maybe watching from the stands. Harry Maguire makes costly mistake after mistake and gets rewarded with bonuses and new lucrative contracts. I recently watched an international featuring the Italian team which is barely able to string two passes together in their oppontents half - but still won !
Nobody should give up what they love doing - improvement is the motivation to keep trying.
It's a bit of criticism. Men who don't play well get it all the time. Think of the abuse Maguire has received. Do they want equality of nae?

That’s categorically not correct. The first goal she was way too far over to her left. She didn’t know where her goal is, the shot was too far to her right for her to save if she even attempted to dive. She essentially left an empty net. Second one was a cracking strike… GK positioning was way off.
Even the header that Rangers missed, look at how she’s set, arms positioned like Monty Burns.
She is in desperate need of a good level goalkeeping coach. Because she genuinely looks like an outfield player doing a favour.
She needs help.

I see Scottish standard of keeping hasn't changed. Pathetic
alot of people are being critical of Easdon the young PT goalkeeper, the goals were down to defensive errors, not the keepers fault, there really isn't much else she could have done to prevent those goals, and when you consider they're a part time time, they actually done exceptionally well. professional men's teams worth billions (like my team Chelsea), make far more fundamental mistakes.
PT's goal was the best goal in the match.

for a 17yr old to be playing in a cup final is an amazing achievement, sure she could have had a few better steps here and there, but none of the goals were entirely her fault, 4-1 isn't an embarrassing hammering considering the outfit of the two teams. billion £ teams are conceding more goals on a more competitive field.
