- The moment we've all been waiting for has finally arrived!! Join me in the heart-pounding excitement as I tackle all of the jumping phases at Badminton Grassroots. I must admit, the nerves were sky-high, especially considering this was is the first time I have done the 100 at Badders, and after the course walk we know what a testing cross country track it was. It goes without saying; it was one of the most daunting courses I've ever faced. Despite my nerves, Jam was on spectacular form, and dug seriously deep around that XC course. Tune in to witness the thrilling highs and nerve-wracking moments as we navigate this unforgettable journey at Badminton. Sat here crying for a stranger I've never met! Meg Elphick you are a inspiration to all us armatures, wannabes, enthusiasts and pony lovers. You have shown us a true representation of what equestrian sport can be. The highs the lows the confidence spills and everything in between. Pure chills watching your cross country round. Just phenomenal riding on a phenomenal pony. You make me want to be a better equestrian every time I watch you!

I saw fence 1 and thought “okay this is doable” then fence 2 appeared and I nearly cried🤣
So unbelievably proud of you man! I remember when you were saying you didn’t know whether you wanted to do the 90 or the 100, you braved it and you absolutely SMASHED IT! And Jam of course😂❤️
When she's tired you see her hooves turn to the left during a jump. He knows not to touch them. She really gave it her all. So did you Meg. Congratulations 🎉👏

Seeing you with your little connie next to the other people on their "proper sport horses" put into perspective how well you did, yes jammy is a very good pony that gets you out of trouble, but this is still a bit of an uphill battle for her!
Seeing little Jammie with her short fat neck lined up with those other horses really hits home what a great team Jam and Meg are and what they have accomplished together! ❤

My favourite part of this video was the care and attention to Jam immediately after cross country. Celebrations came after her welfare, what a team ❤️❤️❤️❤️
At the International 3DE in Melbourne which is just around the corner, horses come off xc into an enclave where they get a vet check, temperature etc. I'm surprised that doesn't happen in the UK especially at Badminton (unless it happens and everyone just leaves it our of their vlogs but I doubt that is the case)
To see how much you and Jam Bam have improved over the years just warms my heart so much 🥹 I can’t wait to see you guys out there again in 2025!!

Well you can ride a forward stride! Well done on that round. She was tiring six or so out. She stopped gaining height and begins to throw her front legs side ways to clear things but my goodness what an incredible little mare with a heart as big as a bucket. Congratulations on producing her to such a standard. Great to watch.
I LOVED the side-by-sides of the different jumps at the same time - thank you for including that! At 52:32, when Piggy is going over the course walk...is that you and Jam on the wall behind her? I'm so impressed with how you greeted all of your amazing supporters at the end of cross country and really engaged with each of them. So kind and genuine of you - they'll never forget that. Congratulations on a super result!

Jam is such an amazing little horse, you can see she really loves what she does. And you absolutely smashed it Meg! You worked so hard to get where you are and it was thrilling to watch you nail those fences after seeing how hard you trained. You might not see it yet but I think the two of you together really are a force to be reckoned with!

You did so well Meg it's so very much deserved. The fact that you've been beside the house on most of your visits to Badminton is a testament to all the hard work and dedication you've put into your lovely ponies (and definitely makes the notion of Jam did ALL the work not so true - your inspiring riding and training of all your animals paid no small part to that!).

I am so PROUD of you, Meg!! You conquered a few femons when you did that BE 100 Course at Badders this year. And to see you in front of the house again, with Jam, made me smile from ear to ear!! And you deserved those few tears at the end, when you were in Hobbit's arms at the end of Cross Country!! You could see how proud Hobbit was of you. Think it really goes to show what a positive influence you’ve made on the eventing circuit seeing all those young girls with adoration in their eyes waiting for you at the end of the course, I know I’d be lining up for a big ol’ bear hug!! Can’t say enough how much I appreciate you sharing your journey every year, it’s so lovely to watch your positive attitude bounce back after every challenge and milestone. Especially as a very nervous adult ammy myself about to tackle her pony club C cert, a whole massive 65cm xc and show jump rounds (everything’s big when you’ve been pottering round 45cm for 3 years!!) 🫣😅 Big big congrats to you girlie, can’t wait to watch you grow even more!! ❤️❤️❤️
